It's on Netflix and it's called A Simple Favour

Anna Kendrick plays "Mom Stereotype"

Blake Lively plays "Mysterious Woman Stereotype"

Henry Golding plays "Wooden Husband"

Appalling dialogue and acting

Weird incest subplot

Recommended for purposes of mockery.

I can’t remember what it’s called but a few years back watched a film and the entire film is just a man driving in a car and hes on the phone. ‘Traffics bad’ is what he keeps saying or ‘traffics good’. That’s it, no other scenes, just driving his car. AWFUL!

Hellbentwellwent · 29/11/2019 06:55

I’m recovering from surgery so have watched a fair load of crap the last couple of days. If anyone want to really make their eyes bleed watch 93 days, it is the singularly most pathetic piece of dramatisation I have ever witnessed and that was with the help of a morphine drip.... utterly awful

tillytrotter1 · 29/11/2019 07:00

I realise I am about to get battered into submission but in my mind one of the worst movies ever was bloody 'Titanic'

Not often I actually fall asleep in a film!!!!!!!!!! When I woke up apparently I said, loudly, Hasn't it bloody sunk yet.

All this thread shows is that we're all different, it would be so boring if we weren't, I get slated for saying I've never seen Star Wars and can't stand Fools and Horses on TV.

Thewheelsarefallingoff · 29/11/2019 07:03

Blade 2 or Blade 3 (can't remember which, it's got Luke Goss in it). Walked out of the cinema. The Mist made me really angry, sat through the whole thing as DS's insistence.

Titanic is bloody awful, never got the hype.

Beveren · 29/11/2019 07:04

Yes to Titanic! How could they not work out that there was literally no point in trying to raise the tension about whether Kate Winslet survived when we'd seen her as a survivor at the beginning? Mind you, the third time the stupid woman got back on the ship I found myself wishing she wouldn't survive.

lborgia · 29/11/2019 07:06

I went to see Last Christmas with my best friend. Thank God I didn't say anything first because she turned to me and said "ok, that is now my favourite Christmas movie, ever".

Whereas I wanted to scream that it was THE worst film ever, and I'd been wanting to leave from 5 minutes in.

I like the heroine (is her name Emilia Clarke) in interviews, but in this I just wanted to do something really horrible to her.

Henry Golding - good grief, I've seen more warmth in an M&S sweater model. Confused

SinkGirl · 29/11/2019 07:06

And raise you: AI

Worst film ever

You are mad. AI is fantastic. That is all.

SinkGirl · 29/11/2019 07:08

PinkDaydreams you’re thinking of Locke.

SureTry · 29/11/2019 07:12

TheClaws That film was so awful I blocked it from my memory, I switched it off after 10 minutes.

Lampan · 29/11/2019 07:13

I have to defend Bridesmaids! I truly believe it is one of the best films ever. I have definitely been the ‘Annie’ in a real life wedding situation so to me it’s very well-observed and hilarious.

custardbear · 29/11/2019 07:15

@Ohwhatbliss - agreed Mama Mia was dreadful!

mumwon · 29/11/2019 07:15

raise you some of the c class films on the scifi channel - the format is always the same with stereotypes all the way through - there is always a scene where the general type person is standing behind 2 people on computers saying something like "its going to fail we are done for" & than its working to the hero/heroine who is on the radio elsewhere. Its like the casualty series game we use play which is where we tried to guess who was going to get hurt & how.

zemblanity · 29/11/2019 07:16

I agree that Mama Mia is awful.

But the worst film ever is Vanilla Sky.

BeyondMyWits · 29/11/2019 07:16

Nope Dark City is the worst - it even has Rufus Sewell in it and it is crap!!

Sounds like my type of film... John Murdoch (Rufus Sewell) awakens alone in a strange hotel to find that he is wanted for a series of brutal murders. The problem is that he can't remember whether he committed the murders or not. For one brief moment, he is convinced that he has gone completely mad.

Sounds promising right... wrong...
nobody seems to realize it is always night. At midnight, he watches everyone except himself fall asleep as "the Strangers" physically rearrange the city as well as change people's identities and memories

  • a weird bucket of crap.
lolaflores · 29/11/2019 07:17

Geostorm can go fuck itself. I just laughed and laughed as Gerard Butler chewed the scenery from scene 1 to the end. Usual old tripe of American rule breaking maverick saves the day and the planet. Sad history lost love or some shite....I just lost the will to live 10 mins in.

Alarae · 29/11/2019 07:18

Haha, the worst film ever is DOA (Dead or Alive) with Holly Valance.

It is basically a worse Mortal Kombat with extra boobies.

Sticks in my brain as my boyfriend (now DH) thought it would be an excellent choice to watch as our first film together.

HenSolo · 29/11/2019 07:20

Oo Oo also on Netflix, find The Circle, cliche big tech company seems friendly and cuddly but actually bad
And then tell me that Emma Watson can act. Almost as wooden as Henry Golding

pontiouspilates · 29/11/2019 07:22

Another one coming on to say Love Actually is dire.

SureTry · 29/11/2019 07:23

Cloud Atlas just plain awful and I didn't think much of Ex Machina either. I went against my better judgement and watched them in their entirety. Alas, time I can not get back 😩

econowifey · 29/11/2019 07:23

Love AI.

I don't think anyone's mentioned The Family Stone?

I watched it a few times because I just do not get it, such a horrible bunch of (well known) people. Am I missing something?

GaaaaarlicBread · 29/11/2019 07:24

Yeah that is quite a shit film but have you seen ...:

Unfriended ? 😉😬 shittest film out there !

GoGoLego · 29/11/2019 07:24

The worst movie is love wrecked. Spoilers but really I'm just saving you from 1.5 hours of awfulness.

Girl girl goes to a nice all inclusive holiday. Goes on a boat excursion trip. Gets ship wrecked spends 2 days thinking she is like properly lost thinking she'll never see human civilisation again. Goes looking for food for all of 5 mins stumbles across her hotel. All is well end of movie

Love actually on the other hand is an amazing movie

SouthWestmom · 29/11/2019 07:24

Ha! This is a terrible film. Is it black humour? Is it a thriller? Is it a comedy? Who knows? Not me and dd forty billion hours after getting through it in the cinema.

Hippywannabe · 29/11/2019 07:26

I watched Fractured yesterday. Patently obvious 'twist', unrealistic scenes and events and bonkers non ending.
I do normally enjoy a Lifetime movie/channel 5/Paramount afternoon thriller.
Might try some of the others tomorrow.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 29/11/2019 07:30

Worst films ever:

Soul Man - 80s tosh where privileged white boys dons 'black face' for reasons which escape me but it's something about a scholarship

Love Actually - gives me the rage

MamaMia - expected to love this as I love ABBA. Fuck no

Bridesmaids - I genuinely fail to see the humour in a group of women being hit by food poisoning at the same time

Read a synopsis of Last Christmas...fuck me I'm glad I didn't pay to see that mawkish sounding pile of shit

Harlem Nights - walked out of the cinema 15 minutes in
