Never. I really don’t “get” Halloween at all.

GooseFeather · 10/10/2019 20:59

Another Never.

EmmiJay · 10/10/2019 20:59

If DD had her way they'd be up already. I've decided during the half term is perfectly fine

Never. If you are in the benighted US then carry on. If you are in the enlightened UK get a grip and keep your powder dry for Christmas.

managedmis · 10/10/2019 21:00

We've got a friendly scarecrow that we stick on the porch

madcatladyforever · 10/10/2019 21:01

I've got them up all year round.
The pumpkins are carved the day before as they don't last long.

PickAChew · 10/10/2019 21:01

I don't.

UrsulaPandress · 10/10/2019 21:03

Never.

Used to carve a pumpkin when dd was little and put it in the window. .

Manicpixiedreambitch · 10/10/2019 21:04

I have the pumpkins we grew around the house and I'll put up the felt ghosts I made a few years ago this week.

DrCoconut · 10/10/2019 21:12

We have a spider moved in for the autumn if that counts? Grin

ExpletiveDelighted · 10/10/2019 21:14

About 4.30pm on the 31st. Down again after a day or two (probably the following weekend).

Hoppinggreen · 10/10/2019 21:16

31st at about 4, then down again next morning

Silvercatowner · 10/10/2019 21:16

Every supermarket has an aisle of them

Don't think Waitrose has.

ExpletiveDelighted · 10/10/2019 21:20

Our Waitrose does.

AwdBovril · 10/10/2019 21:22

Never. So much plastic tat. Could possibly be persuaded to do a pumpkin, if they weren't so damned heavy (we don't have a car).

PoohBearsHole · 10/10/2019 21:22

Unlike out Xmas decs all the Halloween ones are flimsy and single use.

Just can’t bring myself to buy into landfill. We do carve a pumpkin —which the dog might then eat🙄—

Pipandmum · 10/10/2019 21:23

Day of. Take them down next morning. We get the pumpkins about a week before as they sell out, carve them a couple days before. My kids are teens they still like doing that.
Halloween is almost as big a deal around here as it was where I grew up in the States.

Redglitter · 10/10/2019 21:24

Never - I hate Halloween

Silvercatowner · 10/10/2019 21:24

Our Waitrose does

A whole aisle? Ours certainly doesn't.

Passthecherrycoke · 10/10/2019 21:24

Not just Waitrose, John Lewis too Wink surely it’s not hard to work out what Halloween decorations are?

Like others we tend to just decorate on the day

Lamentations · 10/10/2019 21:25

For a few hours while the trick or treaters are out and then down the same night. This is ONLY because I have children. Otherwise the battery would be out of the doorbell and the lights would be out.

RitmoRatmo · 10/10/2019 21:25

Errr... Halloween? Put a pumpkin in window.

lookingfortreasure · 10/10/2019 21:25

@CunningOperative I like it, looks a fun place to live and I like the cats house ! Is this in the US ?

PristineCondition · 10/10/2019 21:26

My son works in Waitrose, they certainly do sell lots of Halloween stuff so yes clutch you pearls accordingly!!

spiderlight · 10/10/2019 21:28

On the day. We have a big box of them that have been going strong for a good ten years, although I did buy a new 'Día de Muertos'-style skull this evening.
