I'm a fully grown, adult, professional, competent, mature woman but....

... I fucking love stickers.

I recently bought these and they're stuck all over my professional work diary. They make me so happy Grin

I also love a hot orange squash. My mother started giving me hot orange squash to warm me up when I got home from nursery in the winter. I have had a hot orange squash every single day as my "just got home" drink ever since then.

Tell me all of the ways you're an adult competent woman but still basically four years old....

@WhiteJoshsBiceps, those are awesome! I’m a fully grown mature woman but I love hot Ribena and have a massive crush on Jughead Jones from Riverdale. Grin

starfishmummy · 07/09/2019 19:06

Hot 'bena or hot lemonade!!
And I have a collection of Arthur Ransome and similar books...

VioletCharlotte · 07/09/2019 19:13

I take a cuddly toy to bed with me every night. I love hot Ribena in the winter. I sometimes eat Nutella and Biscoffi spread straight from the jar. I can't eat hoola hoops without putting them on my fingers. I bite all the chocolate off a Twix, then eat the biscuit and save the caramel til last. I get ridiculously excited about Halloween. I love reading books from my childhood, especially Judy Blume.

ZenNudist · 07/09/2019 19:14

Love a ride on a mini steam train. Have been known to quite enjoy a slide down the big soft play centre side. Will go on the swings in the park. Love fizzy cola bottles. Enjoy 'In the Night Garden'.

Also say 'digger digger digger' when I see a digger, even without my children present sometimes (they reply 'oi oi oi').

nonamesleftatall · 07/09/2019 19:16

Such a lovely thread which made me smile. There was a lady at work always drank hot squash and it used to make me laugh (not in a horrid way).

I love pick and mix! Also really like making dens (with my kids and eating inside).

Devonlou · 07/09/2019 19:24

I love Disneyworld and as someone else said don't justify anymore why I have been 7 times - my children are too old to blame at 19 and 17!
I make mohair teddy bears for adult collectors as my job - and ask each one once complete what his/her name is 😊

I love cola bottles and strawberry laces, and can't contain myself when I see minions/Paddington/Eeyore stationary 😁💜

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 07/09/2019 19:27

Oh @ZenNudist I’m more of a “Moon and Me” girl myself.

Have recently become most emotionally invested in Topsy and Tim though. Better than emmerdale.

poppy54321 · 07/09/2019 19:39

Just had smores.

thecheshirecatcanfuckoff · 07/09/2019 20:06

Is anyone else reading this thread hearing the kids voices from the haribo ad? Grin

Poetryinaction · 07/09/2019 20:29

Have you all played hide and seek recently? Not a euphemism. Play it with your grown up friends, it's lots of fun.

SunshineAngel · 07/09/2019 20:32

I'm with you 100%. In many ways, I am an absolute child. I cannot believe that someone lets me own a house a drive a car.

BiBiBirdie · 07/09/2019 20:36

I'm a competent mother and run my own business
However, I have an ever growing Take That collection. If I see something I don't already own, I have to have it.
DH thinks I'm mad, I'm 38 and should really have left my childhood crush behind. No, not a chance. I have a signed autograph of Robbie on my bedroom wall and lots of vintage take that stuff from the nineties.

Pinkarsedfly · 07/09/2019 20:37

I was roller-booting around my conservatory this afternoon.

Pinkarsedfly · 07/09/2019 20:43

I kick autumn leaves.
Get really excited by finding conkers - so shiny!
Love fairy lights.
Adore satin ballet shoes and have a pair hanging up on my bed.
Can’t resist buying coloured pencils.

Nonicknamesleft · 07/09/2019 20:50

Absolutely love love love stickers, and Usborne dress up doll sticker books.
Also would love a nice soft toy esp to take to bed (eg Jelly Cat) and a rag doll but my husband wouldn't understand. I don't have a pet and I think this would be a very cost-effective substitute.
I love butterscotch angel delight too.

letsgomaths · 07/09/2019 20:56

@Poetryinaction I love hide and seek! Also blind man's buff, and keeper of the keys.

AmparoLl69 · 07/09/2019 21:00

I love stickers, and washi tape, and gel pens. My bullet journal is full of them. And doodles, I love to fill my journal with colours 😊

BobTheFishermansWife · 07/09/2019 21:36

I have just been to Sainsburys and picked up their Disney heroes sticker book, so echoed to fill this in!!!!!

BobTheFishermansWife · 07/09/2019 21:37

Excited

beingmum39 · 07/09/2019 22:18

I love marbles. The oily ones. I have a mini dustbin full of them from my childhood and I love them.

Stationary... I can't get enough of it, something wonderful about a fresh new diary, notepad, piece of paper, colourful paperclips.

Dolls houses, I don't own one, but I want one, and I love all miniature models of things.

Harry potter movies.

Pick n mix (thank goodness for Wilko's) coz I still feel lost without Woolworths.

GlomOfNit · 07/09/2019 23:39

... I just bought myself the most recent Worst Witch book. I'll pass it onto DS1 afterwards but it's for meeeeee

I love stickers but they have to be those posh imported Japanese/Korean kawaii ones. I stick them on envelopes on the rare occasions I send post. I am 46.

alltoomuchrightnow · 08/09/2019 00:29

I'm 48 and have my childhood monkey on the bed (recently rescued from bottom of cupboard at my parents house.. no one puts monkey in the bottom!) She was made for me when I was born. My friend brought me a Viktor vampire soft toy from IKEA and she snuggles happily with him.
Pick n mix is the best thing for PMS as is the tub of lemon butter icing I have in the fridge.
I recently bought quite a few childhood books from eBay for bedtime reading inc the Enid Blyton one where two children run away and live in a tree
Stickers are great but nail stickers / decals are even better!

alltoomuchrightnow · 08/09/2019 00:31

Nonick, butterscotch angel D is my guilty pleasure, Well, not even guilty. It was my comfort food as a child (before I had my tonsils out..) whenever I had a flare up and couldn't eat much, I'd be allowed to lie on the sofa and eat AD
I have also as an adult been known to put popping candy on top of it (try it!)

Graphista · 08/09/2019 02:19

"Is anyone else reading this thread hearing the kids voices from the haribo ad?" I am now ya bugger 😂

I tried angel delight again about a year ago thanks to a nostalgic mn thread - it was rotten! Not nearly enough sugar in it!

Mumsymumphy · 08/09/2019 03:04

I have a professional job with very high accountability. I am on a community committee discussing constitutions, charitable status bids, planning regulations, agendas, minutes etc etc, yet I purposely stopped off early at my local shop, on my way to get my daughter from school, so I could buy a pick & mix in secret- but just ended up buying 20 flying saucers as they're my favourites. I drink hot Vimto. I have taught myself to drink and like tea this year 'cos that's what 'grown ups' do. I love stickers.
I sing with gay abandon in my car to songs from my teenage years - old skool house and trance and hip hop. I laugh at Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom. I'm 45.
