I'm a fully grown, adult, professional, competent, mature woman but....

... I fucking love stickers.

I recently bought these and they're stuck all over my professional work diary. They make me so happy Grin

I also love a hot orange squash. My mother started giving me hot orange squash to warm me up when I got home from nursery in the winter. I have had a hot orange squash every single day as my "just got home" drink ever since then.

Tell me all of the ways you're an adult competent woman but still basically four years old....

When in Marks & Spencer I HAVE to buy some vegan Colin the Caterpillar sweets! I think just because I can now get some jelly type sweets that do not contain gelatine. I missed out when younger, you see!!

I love seeing dogs, I usually say ''hello dog'' to them. When I', with my own if I see another dog I say ''look Maggie! Another doggie! Is this one of your mates?' (She has loads of mates from the park.)

HeirToTheIronThrone · 03/09/2019 12:34

@DerelictWreck get yourself to Wilko's!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 03/09/2019 12:38

If we go for a day out anywhere, I have to have an ice cream at some point or it isn't really a 'proper' outing.

Yesterday I worked from home and had a bowl of rice pudding with jam in it for lunch.

And I am planning on treating myself to the boxed set of Mallory Towers when I go on maternity leave shortly.

Papergirl1968 · 03/09/2019 13:34

I pretend to be our cat, talking. He tells the teenage dds about his day at school, and he reads the weather forecast for cats - “pussycats are advised to take their wellies and their brollies when they go out because it is going to wain” - he has a lisp.
I sing Christmas songs all year round - drives the kids mad.

AdelaideK · 03/09/2019 13:42

I read my childhood books before I go to sleep. It relaxes me.

My ebay watch list is very telling. Currently contains orange boot laces (for halloween) and several glittery keyrings. I love just looking at keyrings. I had a spherical one filled with water and a piece of a rumpled iridescent plastic sheet in it as a kid and I've been looking for one like it for ages. Love sweeties, kidneys don't so I can't have them now. Used to make buttercream to eat secretly when I just needed something yummy.

Milkstick · 03/09/2019 14:07

I used to have hello kitty bubblegum mouthwash too!

Milkstick · 03/09/2019 14:14

Oh and I LOVE Bee and Puppycat, it's on youtube, cartoon lovers and anyone who likes kawaii, hello kitty etc should give it a try. Desperate for the next series!

Funghi · 03/09/2019 14:19

Should the hot squash be enjoyed from a cup or a glass?

Croquembou · 03/09/2019 14:29

I don't have breakfast much but when I do I have Coco Pops.

I don't like tea/coffee so I mostly drink squash. I like hot chocolate but mostly for the cream and marshmallows.

I like going to Disneyland/world and refuse to justify it to people who demand to know why.

Pick and mix is excellent. I really want some Starburst after reading this.

EssentialHummus · 03/09/2019 14:29

Oh God. Ice cream cakes and cakes with fondant icing - I only buy them when reduced, but still. And dogs, all the dogs; I love it when dogs come round for a fuss and my dream would be a house full of big slobbery Rotties and mastiffs (DH is not so keen). And Lego - I'm pushing Duplo on the toddler in the hope that she becomes a fan.

Mug or cup, imo.

CornedBeef451 · 03/09/2019 15:09

Fizzy cola bottles and fake tattoos.

I found some tattoos leftover from DD's birthday the other day and before I knew it I had covered myself in them...again.

At least I have learned from previous mistakes and not put them anywhere visible. I had one interesting week a few years ago with a delightful mix of butterflies and pirates all down one arm.

I am 42.

Badcat666 · 03/09/2019 15:26

Hot ribena in the winter, even MrBC gets sad when we run out now

I get VERY excited when I see rabbits in the fields when on a train. I have been known to squeal" BUNNIES" and point them out.

Must make friends with every cat I see and I ask them about their day.

Every dog I see is a "good dog! whos a lovely good dog?! you are!" I do get some odd looks from the owners but I don't care.

I make the "weeeeeeee" sound too often when I'm rushing about.

If there are puddles I will walk in them even if wearing normal shoes

Hot mashed boiled egg sarnies with salad cream and salt and pepper and butter like mum made.

Paddling bare foot in rock pools and lifting up rocks to see who is living under them makes me the happiest person alive.

Not done it for years (too poor for posh holidays) but I used to snorkel and say hello to all the fishes I saw. Brother has video evidence of this and me floating about like a fat seal with muffled "whos a pretty fish" coming out from my snorkel hole.

Getting new yarn makes me so happy and I make MrBC look at each ball and then sit and squidge them for hours.

Badcat666 · 03/09/2019 15:32

And I'm a couple of years shy of 50.

Liking pic and mix is the law isn't it? As is nibbling all the choc off a twix/ double decker etc)

I also watch cartoons (apart from Chorlton and the wheelies/ bagpuss and prince what a mess because I burst into tears because I luff them so)

Lowlandlucky · 03/09/2019 15:34

For all picNmix fans Wilko often has a "sale" on picNmix

Funghi · 03/09/2019 15:44

Thank you Ilikethisone. I’ll be trying my very first hot orange squash this evening.

AMidsummersNightsNightmare · 03/09/2019 15:46

I love hot squash!!.

Graphista · 03/09/2019 16:08

82yorkshirelass - please do and let me know what you think?

"I love Unicorns. I would have a house full of unicorn related things if I could." There are unicorns in castle story, hard to get (unless you buy them) they leap joyfully and give energy boosts.

"Does...does anyone else pretend that they are being filmed for a TV show when they are cooking something, and do the commentary as they go? It can't just be me, please tell me it's not just me..." I was making dds lunch last night and in my head I was making one of those "tasty" videos you see on Facebook

"Should the hot squash be enjoyed from a cup or a glass?" Mug

Papergirl1968 · 03/09/2019 16:08

Love seeing trains and planes. I was in Wales recently on holiday and saw a very low plane while driving on the Mach Loop - very exciting!
I shout horsey, cow moo and sheepy in the cat’s voice when driving past fields.
Love iced cakes, the thicker and sicklier the icing the better!
Love pick n mix and still grieve for the demise of Woolworths as they had the best ever.
Love paddling in the sea or rock pools.
Secretly love theme park rides but fear I’m too fat for them now so have to pretend not to like them!

Floralmoral · 03/09/2019 16:12

I love stickers.
My favourite secret snack is a jam and cheese (preferably cheddar) sandwich, like I used to have with my sister when we were little. We thought it was a refined combination of sweet and savoury Grin
I love bubbles and trampolines.
