I'm a fully grown, adult, professional, competent, mature woman but....

... I fucking love stickers.

I recently bought these and they're stuck all over my professional work diary. They make me so happy Grin

I also love a hot orange squash. My mother started giving me hot orange squash to warm me up when I got home from nursery in the winter. I have had a hot orange squash every single day as my "just got home" drink ever since then.

Tell me all of the ways you're an adult competent woman but still basically four years old....

Just the thread for me!

I love hot squash- my mum used to make it for me on Saturday mornings while watching Tiswas

I love buying TY Beanie Boos for DS3 (they're really for me) he is 10 now but still loves them and every morning he brings a few into my bed and I make up a story and act it out with them

I have a pink flamingo pen that I use to write in patients notes at work

HarrySnotter · 02/09/2019 22:50

An ‘egg in a cup’.

^^ This! My mum used to give me this when I was poorly.

We used to have hot orange too, in winter.

I love sweeties too.

This thread is lovely. 😊

Ilovesnowsnowsnow · 02/09/2019 22:54

I still love love dot to dot puzzles

Cominground · 02/09/2019 22:54

I love running and gliding with a supermarket trolley. Love a go on the swings but my 5yo hates it when I join in. Watching Disney movies and meeting the characters at disneyland. Considering ordering myself a vegan pic n mix online!

BunnyTeapot · 02/09/2019 23:08

A cold sausage on a fork!

Hot orange juice when I'm feeling down or ill

thebakerwithboobs · 02/09/2019 23:11

I had a smear test recently and the nurse is married to a dentist. She had nicked his stickers and I got one...it said 'I opened wide today.' It made me giggle for ages 😂

sam221 · 02/09/2019 23:16

I love Ribena and will have it at least a few times a year, still love Disney and Arctic Rolls!

ByeByeMissAmericanPie · 02/09/2019 23:21

An unattended roundabout in the children’s play area is the one thing I love.

Also boxes of pristine coloured pencils. I still have some from my 21st birthday over 30 years ago. They get used occasionally, but I mainly get them out and just look at them.

Coniferhedge · 02/09/2019 23:28

I love stickers, stationery, Hello Kitty and anything Japanese Kawaii. So much so, I subscribe to two monthly sticker clubs - Mrs Grossman and Stickii and I also get Doki Doki Crate from Japan. I love them!

BoswellsBollocks · 02/09/2019 23:31

I’m a 39 year old woman who giggles and claps my hands like a toddler if I see a puppet. Even someone doing silly voices for a teddy and poking them round a door makes me happier than it should.

I saw Basil Brush on holiday once and it was like I’d seen Sinatra.

82YorkshireLass · 02/09/2019 23:34

I play the Sims. In my late 30s.

Squiff70 · 02/09/2019 23:38

I'm obsessed with Miffy by Dick Bruna!

SandyGusset · 02/09/2019 23:49

And opal fruits starburst

Yes! They will always be opal fruits and it was will always be a marathon bar! Fucking snickers my foot!!

To the twin/Mars nibblers I highly recommend eating a double decker by first nibbling off choc, then the nougat and then scoffing the crispy bit!

"Every so often reread The Magic Faraway Tree." Oh yes! And Mallory towers (even if the characters are less sympathetic than we remember)

Metempsychosis - controversial maybe, could you decant some squash into an empty alcohol bottle to "hide" it? "Oh no kids you can't have this its alcohol only for grown ups"

"I still love love dot to dot puzzles" ooh just had a thought are there apps of these? yes! Downloading now!

"I had a smear test recently and the nurse is married to a dentist. She had nicked his stickers and I got one...it said 'I opened wide today.' It made me giggle for ages" that is bloody genius! 😂 they should all do that (and I Fucking hate smears - endo they hurt!)

"I play the Sims. In my late 30s." If you like the sims try storm8 castle story (like a sort of fantasy renaissance faire premise I've been playing for years and am at the top level and still find new ways to enjoy) and even maybe farm story and restaurant story and bakery story.

PawPawNoodle · 03/09/2019 01:23

I still get silly when anyone whacks out a bubble machine.

I also still play The Sims - I've been doing it since I was about 7 (when someone gave me a pre-release copy of it!) so I won't stop until EA stops.

HerewardTheWoke · 03/09/2019 01:33

I try to make friends with every cat I see

I prefer squash to any other drink

tolerable · 03/09/2019 01:57

Im 46. When I try on shoes in store to buy,my ma (76) bends down, tells me wiggle my toes as she pushes down and then says "ok..walk in a straight line to the door and back.

Shadow1234 · 03/09/2019 04:55

I also walk up and down in a straight line when trying shoes on

Also get excited when I hear the ice-cream mans bell ringing outside my house. I don't like ice-cream, but he sells bags of pic 'n' mix, so I go outside and queue up with all the children

Ilikethisone · 03/09/2019 05:09

erasers for me too, especially scented. I collected them as a kid and now just can't resist (have to actively avoid them to stop myself buying them)

I am obsessed with scented markers. Bloody love them!

Sidge · 03/09/2019 07:34

I love bubbles, fireworks and rainbows.

I shout “cow” or “sheep” when I see them (I live fairly rurally so that happens a lot!) and make the opposite noise to make the kids laugh even though they’re teenagers.

I’m a practice nurse and always offer stickers to adults when they’ve had a needle, about half accept shyly lol.

cosytoaster · 03/09/2019 07:35

Conkers! Still get excited when I see them and collect as many as possible.

82YorkshireLass · 03/09/2019 07:48

@Graphista - thanks I'll give it a go 🤓

Casander · 03/09/2019 08:07

I love Unicorns. I would have a house full of unicorn related things if I could.

I also shout "horses" and point every time I see one despite having my own

I say hello to all the doggos

Me and DH play the music game while cooking dinner or driving, we take turns to pick a genre and then pick the best most cheesy song from the genre. In the event of a tie break, we put it on the family WhatsApp and make them vote. It amuses us for ages.

Zaphodsotherhead · 03/09/2019 10:15

Does...does anyone else pretend that they are being filmed for a TV show when they are cooking something, and do the commentary as they go? It can't just be me, please tell me it's not just me...

I also do the 'trolley slide', our local big Morrisons has a ramp down to the car park and you can ride a trolley all the way down (as long as you are careful to stop at the bottom otherwise you shoot out into the oncoming traffic). Shouting 'weeeeeeeeeee!' as you go is obligatory.

Oh I take my fake cooking vlog very seriously!
