I'm a fully grown, adult, professional, competent, mature woman but....

... I fucking love stickers.

I recently bought these and they're stuck all over my professional work diary. They make me so happy Grin

I also love a hot orange squash. My mother started giving me hot orange squash to warm me up when I got home from nursery in the winter. I have had a hot orange squash every single day as my "just got home" drink ever since then.

Tell me all of the ways you're an adult competent woman but still basically four years old....

Milly, it might have to wait until christmas, If i got myself a flashy one i'd have to get one for the DC as theirs are 2nd hand rust buckets!

theruffles · 02/09/2019 13:26

I love stickers too!

I like going on the swings and swinging really high, and going down slides, and some of the bits of soft play. There's one near me that has air guns which you can load up with the balls from a ball pit and shoot them at targets on the ceiling. It's great!

I like blowing dandelions and making a wish.

Graphista · 02/09/2019 13:26

Just the thread I need at the moment! Smile

I am a reasonably well educated, single mum to an adult dd who manages a certain amount of adult responsible shit (not as much as I'd like due to stupid brains MH crap!)

I am currently happily enjoying playing Tetris regularly again having recently downloaded it, plus I play ridiculous games like castle story and love them.

I also am enjoying a current taste for flying saucer sweets and fizzy strawberry lace ones.

I don't have hot squash daily but have it in winter sometimes. It's lovely.

There are photos of me proudly displaying sand castles I made in my late 20's before I had dd as an excuse Grin

MrsMoastyToasty · 02/09/2019 13:36

I like doing handstands in the swimming pool. its the only way I'm able to do one

WhiteJoshsBiceps · 02/09/2019 13:55

Hot squash is what fruit teas smell like they should taste of, but don't

YES! I tried being all growed up a few years back and drinking fruit teas. Nope, they're vile and weak and taste like piss. Bring on all the sugars and sweeteners thanks.

I love stickers too. When I was at uni I made myself a star chart for my homework... it worked, got a 1st.

yesteaandawineplease · 02/09/2019 16:52

this thread is lovely. I think i need to embrace my inner child. life is so serious!
off to buy stickers, juice and sweets and then watch a disney film

DisplayPurposesOnly · 02/09/2019 17:03

Vimto - cold or hot.

If there's water that can be paddled in, I will paddle in it.

Must have a go on the swings if I'm at the park (even tho my arse doesn't really fit anymore).

I last rolled down a (short) slope about 8 years ago. In public.

I'm 51.5 Grin

Asta19 · 02/09/2019 17:19

I'm 63 and I have Hello Kitty Converse, and I feel all jolly and gleeful when I wear them

So happy to read this! I’m nearly 50 and bought the same recently. I had doubts as to whether I should have bought them so it’s reassuring to see your post!

I’m a huge fan of Hello Kitty. I went to Hello kitty land in Japan and I think I was probably 10 times as excited as all the 5 year old girls in the queue! Luckily in Japan they don’t see adults as being “weird” for liking “kids stuff”, that’s probably why I love it there so much.

Susiesoap7 · 02/09/2019 19:24

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 02/09/2019 19:31

People often find me intimidating but...

I love sweeties, especially the kind you buy weighed out from a big jar in the shop

I still do cartwheels and handstands when I see a nice patch of lawn

I often re-read children's books

I make myself semolina pudding with jam when I'm feeling sad

I still sleep with my teddy bear (fortunately dh loves him too Grin)

MrsGrindah · 02/09/2019 19:33

Crayons..just to look at though
Smile at dogs
Can’t watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with my feet on the floor in case the child catcher is under my chair
Ready brek instead of grown up porridge
Reading the books from my childhood

BillywilliamV · 02/09/2019 19:35

I talk to my DDs teddy as if he were real. I

TheCatsACunt · 02/09/2019 19:42

My husband has learned the hard way that I need a helium balloon for my birthday.

Apolloanddaphne · 02/09/2019 19:45

I love Play doh. Absolutely adore it. My children are grown now so when I visit my friend with small children I always ask if we can play it. I may ask for some for my Christmas so I can keep all the colours nice and separate.

Sunflower160 · 02/09/2019 19:47

I have warm milk before bed most nights Blush

Ornery · 02/09/2019 19:47

I took my kids to a petting zoo this weekend. They are 19,17 and 16 next week. We are going to be that car full of overstuffed adults that tootles round the wildlife park oohing and aching and has a picnic in the car park before we drive home.

JapaneseBirdPainting · 02/09/2019 19:48

DS1 usually leaves his special toy (a fluffy cat) in my car for me to take care of during the day while he is at school. I keep it in my handbag and give it a stroke every now and then. It soothes me.

DefinatelyAWeeGobshite · 02/09/2019 19:51

I’m also a sticker fanatic! Love them, I’ve got folders and folders of the things. The last few weeks have been busy though so no stickers but I’m going to start again next week.

Love a wee planning session with my highlighters and stickers.

Sunnysidegold · 02/09/2019 20:00

I'm going to order those stickers. I used to collect them as a teen but was torn between collecting them and using them. I would use them now!!

This thread has really cheered me up. I had a crap day today and am determined to find some childish joy.

My friend bought me an adult colouring book (that phrase always makes me think it's a rude colouring book!) But I much prefer my Tesco one I bought my kid as the lines are thicker and easier to colour within.

susiella · 02/09/2019 20:06

I 'm 59 and I still run to the window if I hear a horse/ horses passing. I 've got 3 of my own as well

Gingerkittykat · 02/09/2019 20:07

I am a grown woman studying for a professional qualification who jumps for joy when the tutor puts a smiley face on my work to show I have passed.

I love blowing bubbles, even better when I blow them for my cats and I get to see them jumping around catching them.

I love watching Matilda, Mary Poppins, Annie (original version only) and A Little Princess.

VeganVeganVegan · 02/09/2019 20:11

I love parma violets
I talk to every cat I pass and try to pick them up for a hug
I walk my cat on a lead
I have a tiptop (ice pop?) Every night

dancingbadger · 02/09/2019 20:17

Love this! I love stationary particularly those pencil cases with compartments that spring open when you press a button, I could literally spend hours in smiggle Smile
Im ashamed to say I've never had hot squash I've obviously been missing out!

Crochetymum · 02/09/2019 20:19

RubaiyatOfAnyone
I never had a doll's House either and it was my first big Christmas present from my partner when we moved in together. Iove it. My daughter has got about 5 in different sizes, I buy them from car boots and had a few new.
Sylvanian families is my favourite, it's bought for my daughter and she doesn't play properly!
Really fun thread 😁
