Underrated chocolate bars

Ok so I know it’s not strictly a chocolate bar, but last night I had such a craving for a Twix. Haven’t had one in years. Got one today and it’s as good as I remember, the crunch, the caramel and just the right amount of chocolate. So, was just wondering what everyone else’s forgotten favourites are?

Galaxy ripple. Like a flake but without all the crumbly chocolatey evidence left behind. Easier to snaffle.

libertyminty · 03/08/2019 18:41

What are Marbles?
Oh and another, I used to make my poor boyfriend get out of bed at all hrs to go to the garage to get me a wispa gold. He said eventually the guy in the garage would have it ready for him walking in.

You double decker lovers are wrong uns Hmm

I think Topic is underrated , and the humble Milkybar if only it came in bigger portions

Coffeeandchocolate9 · 03/08/2019 18:42

Oh and kendall mint cake.

FurnitureAndBackgammon · 03/08/2019 18:44

There is an amazing chocolate pretzel bar in either Aldi or Lidl which i tell everyone about (in chocolate only conversations of course).

Yes it's Aldi and it is beautiful 😍

I too worry about the palm oil womble 😩

ToEarlyForDecorations · 03/08/2019 18:45

Double deckers are always fabulous!

I still miss the raisins in them. Sniff.

Coffeeandchocolate9 · 03/08/2019 18:45

And animal bars - the chocolate was better than other cadburys somehow.

Oh and kinder egg chocolate - they really ought to bring out a proper, just two layer milk and white chocolate bar of kinder chocolate. None of that horrific crunchy bleurgh stuff that put in Buenos.

Coffeeandchocolate9 · 03/08/2019 18:46

Anybody remember the m&s three layer chocolate bars? 💗

ToEarlyForDecorations · 03/08/2019 18:46

Bet no-one remembers Mint Cracknell

I do.

missmouse101 · 03/08/2019 18:47

Time Out bars are pretty good too!

Wearenotyourkind · 03/08/2019 18:48

Kinder Bueno!

Oilyskinproblems · 03/08/2019 18:52

Marbles are kind of like guylian (seashell chocolates) but Cadbury’s. They were/are incredible.

Does anyone remember poppets fruit creams? I know you can get toffee/mint etc but they used to do a pack where you got loads of different flavours - a yellow, a white, pink, orange etc - they were awesome but no one remembers them (except my dB and dsis)

StrumpersPlunkett · 03/08/2019 18:55

Boooost booost a biscuit boost!!!

Or a double decker

Or a topic

saywhatwhatnow · 03/08/2019 18:55

Cadbury's Marble bars were the best. I'm so so gutted they don't do them anymore, I occasionally wistfully google in the hope that they will bring them back.

Wispa gold was also up there. Do they still do them?

For a biscuit bar I like a club gold and a purple club, or an orange penguin. They are just so tiny now though Sad

FlamedToACrisp · 03/08/2019 18:57

What's the problem with palm oil?

StrumpersPlunkett · 03/08/2019 19:00

This is the advert I remember

FunkyBarnYardBroom · 03/08/2019 19:05

Milky way!

My favourite was a limited edition of the toffee crisp. Was Christmas pudding flavour.

Maaaaaan I'd kill for one right now!

threesenoughthanks · 03/08/2019 19:08

Can't beat an aero when you need a real chocolate hit (milk, orange or mint). I always loved a cabana as a kid....mmmmm.

libertyminty · 03/08/2019 19:10

Marbles sound so good. There’s some chocolate you can get at the checkout bit in Ikea, not sure of the name but they’re round and sold in a tube like shape. They’re awesome.
I missed the Christmas pudding toffee crisp! Would have like to try that.

Double Decker or Drifter. Yum!

midsomermurderess · 03/08/2019 19:14

Palm oil is major driver of deforestation of some of the world’s most biodiverse forests, eg in Indonesia, destroying the habitat of already endangered species like the Orangutan.

RoseReally · 03/08/2019 19:15

I eat twixes, wispas and twirls fairly regularly Blush. Whenever I have Lion bars I think I should eat them more often, they are delicious and I love the texture. Had rolos for the first time in years recently - they were really good too!
