Underrated chocolate bars

Ok so I know it’s not strictly a chocolate bar, but last night I had such a craving for a Twix. Haven’t had one in years. Got one today and it’s as good as I remember, the crunch, the caramel and just the right amount of chocolate. So, was just wondering what everyone else’s forgotten favourites are?

How earth do you post something on a thread about underrated chocolate bars that is deleted for breaking the guidelines?! Must have been some serious Twix hate!

ScreamingValenta · 05/08/2019 20:50

MrsGrindah It's a spambot - appeared on all the active threads last night. Though a vitriolic ban-hammer-worthy attack on Twix bars would have been fun!

MrsGrindah · 05/08/2019 20:53

Damn! Thanks Screaming That would have driven me crazy all night!

Wispa
Turkish Delight

In my twenties I use to take a bite of a dairy milk bar and of salt and vinegar crisps. Must try that again.

Divine chocolate is palm oil free - the milk chocolate caramel bars are...Divine

SilverySurfer · 05/08/2019 22:44

I agree with Wombleish, 99% of those mentioned are inedible shit thanks to the use of palm oil.

When I want something really really sweet Caramac bar is perfect

Love a Club Orange and the purple one

Ariela · 05/08/2019 23:18

Dark chocolate Bounty. Really hard to find but luckily the local PO owner likes them so they're often in stock!

Midlifecrisisat30 · 05/08/2019 23:22

Buenos! The original milk chocolate ones with that heavenly hazelnut filling! Loved them since I was 12 lol

Franklymydearidontgiveadam · 05/08/2019 23:36

Does anyone remember those Maverick bars... They were amazing.
Milky bar choos were so nice, white choc and white fudge... Salivating...
Oh and dark choc Mars bars... Mmm

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 06/08/2019 07:55

I bough a Kitkat Chunky the other day and half of it went in the bin.

Chocolate was sort of plastic-y and smeary, it didn’t melt in the mouth it just became softer and smeary. Also terribly sweet and the wafers were softer.

Not buying it again.

Bring back Peanut Banjo bars you bastards!

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 06/08/2019 08:38

Loved Banjo bars

They haven’t been around since the early 80’s

ShatnersWig · 06/08/2019 08:40

We're showing our age there Enthusiasm

Cadbury's stopped doing Golden Crisp in the UK years ago and that was bloody gorgeous. Far better than this Dairy Milk with bits in it. Thankfully, they still make it in Ireland (where Dairy Milk still tastes like it used to thanks to the creamier milk) and you can get it shipped here by Amazon.

sueelleker · 06/08/2019 10:12

My husband loved peanut Yorkies-can't get them now, only milk or raisin and biscuit.

sueelleker · 06/08/2019 10:14

Ariela; don't know where you are, but I can get dark Bounty in Sainsburys.

RuffleCrow · 06/08/2019 10:25

I think Proper Cadburys did a bar called Fusion for a while (in the 90s?). Gorgeous. Wisper shaped with small pieces of raisin, biscuit and nuts. Assume it's gone the way of all things. Sad

RuffleCrow · 06/08/2019 10:27

Just googled it was actually called fuse and discontinued in 2006 Sad

Plain chocolate bounty. In the red wrapper don’t see them very often.

Whatthefunk · 06/08/2019 10:33

Kit Kat chunky and bounty, are delicious
