Underrated chocolate bars

Ok so I know it’s not strictly a chocolate bar, but last night I had such a craving for a Twix. Haven’t had one in years. Got one today and it’s as good as I remember, the crunch, the caramel and just the right amount of chocolate. So, was just wondering what everyone else’s forgotten favourites are?

I used to love Galaxy Liaison. Does anyone else remember them? I think it’s been about ten years since I had one and it’s like the galaxy truffle in a box of Celebrations, but as a bar!

Double Decker
Toffee Crisp
Wispa / Twirl
Diam

I don’t think I’ve tried Fry’s chocolate cream

libertyminty · 03/08/2019 18:18

I liked Revels but always had the fear of the next one being the orange one (shuddering).
Just like the strawberry delight or orange cream in Quality Street, claggy and clawing texture.
Never tried a mint ruffle

Double deckers are always fabulous!

Nope those fucking fuckers fucking changed the base!!! Its now a basic rice krispies cake on the bottom
Fucking arseholes (I'm a bit upset by it)

Star bar if that’s the salty one and picnics

onlyhereforthefood · 03/08/2019 18:20

Wispa doesn't get enough love

Guacamowle · 03/08/2019 18:20

Love a frys chocolate creme - also liked the frys bar with the different fruit flavour fondant. Not strictly a chocolate bar, but can't say no to a Tunnocks teacake

glitterbiscuits · 03/08/2019 18:22

Crunchies. ( and Crunchie ice cream too)

ReeReeR · 03/08/2019 18:22

I do like a Bounty too
Chocolate orange

Malteasers (if they count)
Chocolate buttons
Rolos

I like 4 finger Kit Kat too

ReeReeR · 03/08/2019 18:23

I recently discovered Crunchies and really like it!

Fizzypoo · 03/08/2019 18:23

Frys and Turkish delight for me Grin

libertyminty · 03/08/2019 18:24

What?? Double Deckers have changed?? Noooo, I’m so disappointed to hear that. Just like the ruination of Dairy Milk.
Malteasers are lovely.

Oh god now I need want chocolate.

TemporaryPermanent · 03/08/2019 18:27

Curly Wurly. Like a Fudge bar that went to the big bad city, partied too hard and had some work done.

ReeReeR · 03/08/2019 18:27

Is a fry’s chocolate cream bar a bit like a cream egg??

And what were double deckers before?!

CroqueMademoiselle · 03/08/2019 18:29

There is an amazing chocolate pretzel bar in either Aldi or Lidl which i tell everyone about (in chocolate only conversations of course). More people need to know about it so it is never discontinued.

Wombleish · 03/08/2019 18:29

Tunnock's Teacakes also have palm oil in them 😭

Raffles1981 · 03/08/2019 18:30

Toffee crisps for sure. Always have some stashed away. Perfect after a sandwich with some wotsits Grin

PapaShango · 03/08/2019 18:31

Boost and twirl. Also love a Reece’s peanut butter cup once in a blue moon

Oilyskinproblems · 03/08/2019 18:31

Ooh actually I’m going to add Cadbury’s fudge - marble is still better though

Raffles1981 · 03/08/2019 18:31

@TonyThePony - Spiras were heaven!!

AndromedaPerseus · 03/08/2019 18:31

Milo bars I can usually source them in Aussie shop in London but also occasionally in corner shops with areas of large SE Asian despora

Branleuse · 03/08/2019 18:32

Picnic. Topic

ReeReeR · 03/08/2019 18:32

I don’t think I’ve seen a Marble for years

There used to be a mint chocolate bar. I think it was a metallic blue wrapper with green writing and tasted like matchmakers. Can’t remember what it was called...

LightDrizzle · 03/08/2019 18:33

I miss coconut Boost too. It was the highlight of my day when I was a sahm, breastfeeding DD1.
We lived in a hamlet and I didn't drive. My ex DH was out about 11 hours a day but once a day a bakers and confectionery van came round and I had a packet of Walkers Cheese & Onion and a Coconut Boost!
I practically chased him back down the path every day talking at him, occasionally with all the buttons on my shirt undone as I'd later realise. I was so desperate to talk to adult humans. Grin

Star bar 😍
