on an aeroplane?

Is it ever OK? What if the aisle to the econ toilets are blocked but clear to the business class toilets?

Don't they put a barrier across so neither side can meet?

Maybe83 · 04/07/2019 21:26

I wouldnt even notice I dont think.

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 04/07/2019 21:26

In my experience, the stewards will often prevent you from doing so.

Surely a toilet is just that, a toilet. Wouldn't bother me.

rosesandcashmere · 04/07/2019 21:28

I think if you haven't paid for business class you shouldn't go into that cabin. There's a reason they don't have queues - less people, and those people pay for the bonus of less of a queue. Normally the steward will take you back!

dontatme · 04/07/2019 21:29

Awful! Don’t let the poor people near me!

Stuckforthefourthtime · 04/07/2019 21:31

Might bother you if you'd paid thousands for the privilege, though?
I'm in economy and wouldn't use business except in dire emergency, you have to cross the curtain and get told off...

Soola · 04/07/2019 21:33

No they shouldn’t be allowed.

Summersunshine2 · 04/07/2019 21:35

Appalling!
I always want my own toilet with my own toilet brush when I fly.

SylviaAndSidney · 04/07/2019 21:36

I hope they thoroughly bleach them!

SlowLiving · 04/07/2019 21:36

Rich people shit. Poor people shit.

dangerrabbit · 04/07/2019 21:37

You use a toilet brush sunmersunshine? How non-U!

sacope · 04/07/2019 21:38

Why do you ask? Has something happened?

HundredMilesAnHour · 04/07/2019 21:41

Unless it's an emergency, no. Business class passengers have spent thousands for their tickets. and part of what they get for that includes a lower passenger to toilet ratio. If you want to use the business toilets, buy a business ticket.

DramaRamaLlama · 04/07/2019 21:42

The crew usually prevent it.

Ten odd person in an emergency would be fine but generally speaking one of the advantages of the business class toilets is that they're only used by 20 people not 200 so they tend to be cleaner. That'd be lost if opened to all.

Hmmmbop · 04/07/2019 21:43

I've been told to by staff before.

Purpletigers · 04/07/2019 21:44

I think it’s a great idea !

WanderingTrolley1 · 04/07/2019 21:50

Shouldn’t be allowed.

Purpletigers · 04/07/2019 21:53

In fact I may make it my sole aim the next time I’m flying .

Duchessofealing · 04/07/2019 21:54

If you’re in economy then you haven’t paid to use the business facilities so no. The cabin crew normally stop people.

letsrunfar · 04/07/2019 21:56

Have you seen the Simon Wilson videos of how to sneak into business class and airport lounges.... absolutely brilliant!

My next long trip I'm flying First. You better believe I want near-exclusive use of the facilities! Only a few bottoms shall grace that loo inflight, and one will be mine!

I've done my years down the back of the plane and now I am thoroughly enjoying the perks of business/first. Sorrynotsorry.

LaMarschallin · 04/07/2019 22:07

I think they I shouldn't.
If I'd paid massively more for business class seats (1st is beyond my wildest dreams) one of the things I'd want would be access to nice, clean(er), less in-use toilets.

I'd also occasionally go to the dividing curtain and make faces at the cattle class.

letsdolunch321 · 04/07/2019 22:07

It really pisses me off and yes I am the person who reports those economy flyers to the stewards if I am in business class.

If you pay for economy that is where your toilet facilities are. I have found on various trips travelling in business class the people seated in rows 1/2/3 of economy think it is the right to use business class toilets - The cheeky fuckers !!!
