Just found this in dd suitcase *pic* Where do I leave it?!

What do I do with it?! It's in a big suitcase that she's brought home from boarding school and I'm sorting out her washing because she's going away for a month. She's still at school.

I have no problem with it at all, but I really, REALLY don't want to embarrass her. Where can I leave it surreptitiously?! To make matters worse the suitcase is being thrown out today because it's broken so I can't just leave it in her room - it would look very obvious and then she'd be embarrassed.

Arghh!

Weird. Really can't understand why you felt the need to post photos of lube and a condom box. You could have just typed 'lube' and condom box'....

Really not getting the big deal either. Unpack suitcase. Remove clothes and wash as planned. Toiletries, including aforementioned lube and condom box and contents leave on bedside table. Throw suitcase in bin. Go on holiday.

Have quiet word at some point about disposing of used condoms herself...

The condoms were contained in the box. It wasn't until I opened them that it became obvious they were used.

Why did you open the condom box? 🧐

Of course it’s not embarassing for your DD, OP. She put those items in her suitcase knowing you will unpack it.

OP you've made your daughter quite identifiable with her age, UK all girls boarding school that breaks up today and the fact that she's head of house. I would ask for this thread to be deleted if I were you before it gets picked up by the Daily Mail.

I use lube on my ridiculous barnet.

OP just stick the condoms and lube in her bedside drawer. You don't know they've been used.

She won't mention it to you I doubt.

DD is this age. She’s away at the moment so I have taken the opportunity to sort through some of her stuff, not because she expects me to but because it’s convenient for me and she said it’s ok.

I haven’t found anything of note yet. If I did, I’d just leave it on her bedside table. I doubt that would embarrass her.

Tell you what would embarrass her though: me starting a thread on MN about it complete with photos of her stuff Confused

Why did she put lube and used condoms in a suitcase for you to collect knowing that you would unpack it to clean her washing and find them?
Could someone possibly of put them there as a prank knowing her mum washing comin g to get the suitcase?

@sacope not every mother/daughter talks openly about sex. Me and my mum are close but its not something we discuss, so both of us would be embarrassed if she found my condoms or lube.

If she's old enough to be having sex but not old enough to be capable of doing her own washing, sod embarrassing her - she needs to be told how to dispose of used condoms properly rather than shoving them in the suitcase that presumably she knows her mother is going to unpack Confused That is absolutely grim on her part.

That’s fucking grim.
Based on that fact alone, I’d have to say something to her about that. Unpacking your almost-adult daughter’s suitcase and doing her washing? Whatever, your choice to do that! - but having to sift through jizz filled condoms at the same time is foul.

I don't get your point? OP said she talks openly to her DD about sex and that she helped her get her the pill.

I asked OP 4 times why she thought this was embarrassing, she ignored it every time. I suspect now the whole point of the post has been achieved though...

Again - I'm perfectly comfortable with her attitude towards sex and I know she's careful. I don't want to embarrass her!!!!

But she's happy to embarrass you...

I would quietly say to her, "leaving me to find your used condoms - not cool" and leave it at that.
