Hand hold: DH missing after "accident"

Stickywhitelovepiss · 07/06/2019 19:20

I know it's not been long, but this is really out of character and not sure what to do next.

Rang my DH on his mobile to let him know what time I'd get in and he didn't answer - often happens so then call him on work line. His work said he'd called in on way back in after lunch saying he'd been in a car accident but was fine, and neither hide nor hair heard since. That's all I know - no indication of the severity of the accident or where he or my car (which he drives) have got to.

I've been trying him on his mobile countless times, called 101 to see if they've got him somewhere, also A&E - but no joy.

He's been off grid for about 5 hours now, when he'd normally have picked me up, got the Tesco and we'd be sitting starting our weekend. But not even a text to let me know he's not dead in a ditch, and I don't have that phone tracker either on this latest handset.

Starting to panic slightly - if anyone is around for a hand hold or some pointers as to how I can track him down that's would be much appreciated....

How worrying. I hope you have some news very soon.

user1474894224 · 07/06/2019 19:47

Sorry you are going through this. My other half recently showed my how to use the 'my timeline'; function on Google maps....it shows everywhere I've been. I haven't looked but I wonder if it links to Google maps on my laptop and whether it would show the same on there.....

you poor thing - this must be making you frantic! I hope there is a good explanation once he gives it - but he has to turn up first! Sending a hand to hold and Flowers

Squeakybubbles26 · 07/06/2019 19:47

Hoping for an easy explanation for you, can't imagine what your going through Thanks

memememe · 07/06/2019 19:48

i hope its an innocent explanation and he turns up soon.

anitagreen · 07/06/2019 19:48

Any chance he's hidden the car up and told work that it was a minor accident can't come back etc and really he's just gone out drinking or something sounds stupid but there's the saying " Friday feeling" for a reason for some people I mean that In a light hearted way OP x

OneKeyAtATime · 07/06/2019 19:48

Is it out of character for him?

Onemorecrisp · 07/06/2019 19:48

Hope he is ok. Surely he must be if he called work after the accident ?

TonTonMacoute · 07/06/2019 19:48

I would ring the police and give them your car registration.

The accident should have been reported and they might have some more details.

Susannach · 07/06/2019 19:49

Sending good thoughts your way OP. There are many logical explanations as to why he’s not got in touch. I really hope you hear from him soon! Flowers

Tilly28 · 07/06/2019 19:49

I would definitely call the police again. Especially if it’s so out of character for him.

BumbleBeee69 · 07/06/2019 19:50

christ I hope all is okay OP Flowers

WhereForArtThouBray · 07/06/2019 19:50

How bizarre.

Check online banking for recent transactions.

Ring round family and friends.

Drive the route again and look out for signs of the crash.

londonrach · 07/06/2019 19:50

Very worrying. Have you phoned the hospital. Hopefully just struggled with transport. Dh did this once. This train got cancelled. He meant to be back by 9pm. Phoned me with dying phone at 8.30 saying all trains cancelled so could i pick him up from x station. He never showed. Last train went. I returned home to spend next hour on phone to police etc. So not him. He turned up just before midnight having walked back from station prior to what he called from. He now carries my mobile phone number in his wallet and will hopefully find a helpful person who let him call if his phone does that again. (He and i need new phone i kńow). Im sure its something like that! Xxx

BlondeBumshelll · 07/06/2019 19:50

Maybe he's shitting it that he's wrecked your car and is hiding in a pub somewhere?

Hopefully he gets in touch soon x

arganlady · 07/06/2019 19:50

Cagliostro · 07/06/2019 19:50

StopMakingATitOfUrselfNPissOff · 07/06/2019 19:51

Hope theres a simple explanation OP

Llioed · 07/06/2019 19:52

Hi, I haven’t got anything further to add (sorry) but just wanted to offer a hand hold. I hope he gets in touch with you soon x

Stickywhitelovepiss · 07/06/2019 19:52

Messenger says active 6h ago.

It would be the strangest kind of lie to tell to work and not me, knowing that it would get back to me.

MashedSpud I have a feeling that might be a possibility, but still really, really not like him.

He was definitely home for lunch - his plates are in the sink.

You must be frantic op really hope you hear from him soon

JeremyCorbynsCoat · 07/06/2019 19:53

Very odd op. I'd say report missing if you can

anitagreen · 07/06/2019 19:53

Also if you have Facebook are you in any local groups? I don't know if our area is just nosey but from a helicopter flying over to kids sticking traffic cones in water fountains it's all on their and very much live. Could try searching crash and the area into Facebook see if anyone's wrote anything about it, awful thing to do though as much as I scroll through and read it all I hate myself afterwards.
