Game of Thrones - Who's dying at Winterfell? SPOILERS

So the big battle episode is next week...I am not ready! Who do you think is dying there? 2 episodes without any deaths, they must be gearing up for a bloodbath. DH and I have been discussing it a lot (nothing better to do with our extra day off!) and our list is:

Davos
Pod
Theon
Grey Worm or Missandei. I say Grey Worm, DH says Missandei.
Beric
Gendry

Also worried about Tormund, Brienne (which would break my heart!), and Jorah. Maybe even Bran, depending on exactly how connected he and the Night King are.

It feels like the rest all have a clear purpose moving forward and storylines that make sense beyond Winterfell so are probably safe for now. But I know how much this show likes to shock so I'm trying to prepare for every outcome!

I strongly think Jamie is going to die but not yet.

BearSoFair · 28/04/2019 13:47

Agreed, I think it's VERY unlikely he makes it right to the end but I can't see him dying tonight. If he does die then I really hope they don't do the whole 'Arya steals his face and kills Cersei' thing later on, that seems quite a popular theory. Have never liked the idea of that! It feels like it'd almost be reducing him to a plot point in someone else's storyline.

I agree Jamie won't still be standing at the end but I'm hoping he doesn't die tonight! I want a last confrontation between the Lannister's ending with Jamie going full circle and being the queen slayer! If that's not in the cards though then I'd rather he goes tonight saving Brienne or bran or something heroic! Don't want him to be taking out by bron or something unsatisfying! Also not a fan of the Arya steals his face theory. It's a could theory but I think Arya would want Cersei to look into her eyes when she kills her not Jamie's on her if that makes sense. Was debating try to stay up but it's 90 mins tonight and I don't think I can cope till 3.30 so I shall be a grown up and go to bed! I may set my alarm super early to watch though if I wait till after work I'm worried about it getting spoiled 🙈🙉🙊

I have to wait until Friday to watch it!!! I won’t be able to avoid the spoilers will I?!

BGD2012 · 28/04/2019 16:05

The little girl with the scarred face will be Melisandre who will perform some kind of heroics in the crypt. Probably bring a main character back that has been killed. (I’m thinking Sansa). Hopefully the Hound lives....

Figgygal · 28/04/2019 18:38

The hound needs his showdown with the mountain so he will survive tonight

TheQueef · 28/04/2019 18:42

I hope Brienne lives.
I do want her to get together with Tormund 🍼

BearSoFair · 28/04/2019 20:06

Arghhh DH has me worried for Jaime now. Pointed out that Brienne probably wouldn't mind dying if it was with honour and while protecting someone else. The worst thing for her would most likely be losing Jaime right as she's starting to understand how she feels about him. Especially bad for her if Pod dies in the battle as well!

People who don't watch it as it airs might want to avoid this thread tonight in case spoilers are posted. I'm gunna hide it ha

itswinetime · 28/04/2019 20:37

A good way to prepare for tonight Wink

After the conversation between Jorah The Fedora and Dany to show he still loves her ( he even calls her Khaleesi) and Sansa and Dany discussing manipulating men in love, I think Dany will manipulate Jorah, promise to marry him if he kills Jon during the battle.
Jorah will attempt it ( maybe even with Sam's sword) but Jon will win, Dany and Tyrion flee with Drogon.

Maybe Dany goes south to steal the throne before Jon can stake his claim.

yumyumpoppycat · 28/04/2019 22:59

Thequeef - is that a bottle of giant's milk? Grin

Lol itswine.

WheelyCote · 29/04/2019 06:45

So excited!

WheelyCote · 29/04/2019 11:47

Has anyone watched it yet?!?!

furrytoebean · 29/04/2019 12:13

I have! Is there a thread to discuss??

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 29/04/2019 13:02

Me too and I'm devastated my favourite died 😟

There maybe more but there is a thread for ep 3 here obviously it's full of spoilers if you haven't watched it yet!

BearSoFair · 29/04/2019 13:37

I'm actually ok with how that played out! Two of the deaths I'm sad about, another seemed inevitable so I was ready and it seemed a good end for the character. Surprised at who finished things off, never saw anyone on any discussion board/reddit page predict that! And very, very happy that my favourite almost-couple are both alive Grin Now they better have some celebratory sexy time together.

Surprisingly few names definitively deaded. Some apparently deaded again and again but kept popping up and still standing by the end. Some have disappeared and may or may not be deaded. And for all we know, all the deaded could be undeaded and even the undead unundeaded because of The Big Thing that happened.

Poor Bloody Infantry got it up the arse, as usual.

hellenbackagen · 29/04/2019 21:15

OMG I'm chewing My nails off. Whose wolf is left?

hellenbackagen · 29/04/2019 21:15

And wtf just happened??!

itswinetime · 29/04/2019 21:38

The only dire wolfs left are ghost -Jon's and
Nymeria Arya's we saw her was it last season as the leader of a wild pack of wolfs I'm not sure we will see her again. If that's what you meant?

daphine2004 · 30/04/2019 10:47

@mnahmnah you can do it! Don’t come on this thread as you’ll probably read something you don’t want to. Avoid twitter and Facebook and should you read the DM (I do he headlines out of habit...) about that too. I went cold turkey on the sites and threads, including this one until I watched it last night!

Kit30 · 30/04/2019 11:00

No surprises in episode 3 besides the fact that so few main characters died. Seemed pretty obvious following the story arc that (Lady) Arya was being set up to kill NK, foreshadowed by Nymeria becoming the leader (ie. best fighter) of a wild pack, both subverting their domesticated upbringings. Daenerys is a meanie, Jon Snow's a bit dim and my bet is on Sansa taking the throne with Tyrion as her hand.

mnahmnah · 03/05/2019 20:58

I did it! I avoided any spoilers all week!!!

Just watched it. Really surprised there weren’t more key characters lost. Although we’re not really sure who’s alive still either?! I have to admit, I thought there might be more surprises or twists in there
