You won’t believe what happened at a wedding last night

Blush (no I’m not the guest in question)

Evening guests turned up at 7pm. Around 8pm bride and groom decided to cut the cake. Only to find cake had already been cut by a hungry guest ShockShockShock

Cake in question was a three tiered cake made of different cheeses. Surrounded by grapes and crackers/biscuits. No little bride and groom on top.

An absolute war broke out about it. Half the people saying well, how were they supposed to know it was the cake, other half saying it was pretty obvious.

Cake was in a separate room to the bar and dance floor. Bride in tears (or tiers boom boom).

Around three or four people had taken some of the cake by the time they realised!

Cheeses Christ!

titchy · 01/01/2019 21:01

Was there any garlic bread to go with the cheese cake?

BunnyCake · 01/01/2019 21:01

I can see why she was Epoissed off if she hadn't had the cutting the cake photo yet

She'll probably be Reblochon all the greedy guests on facebook now

marvellousnightforamooncup · 01/01/2019 21:09

Smell my cheese you mother!

giftsonthebrain · 01/01/2019 21:11

It will make for a great family story.

AllTakenSoRubbishUsername · 01/01/2019 21:13

So it was cheese then, and people were supposed to think it was cake?

DadDadDad · 01/01/2019 21:14

Scrolled down for the cheese puns...

...was not disappointed. Grin

Stil-tons more to think of, I'm sure!

delboysskinandblister · 01/01/2019 21:15

it obviously just looked like a display of cheese and not fancy enough to be noticed as a special wedding cake. Just some truckles of cheese. Otherwise you wouldn't cut into it would you? It would be obvious if they'd had a fancy decorated cake.

Figgygal · 01/01/2019 21:17

Oh that is very naughty!!

ThePollutedShadesOfPemberley · 01/01/2019 21:17

Was the bride fondue cheese then?

SuperstarDJ · 01/01/2019 21:18

Strange all round. Odd that some guests cut into cheese that was in a separate room and odd that there was tears and a war over it.

Jux · 01/01/2019 21:18

I've seen those chees cakes online and they seem pretty obviously a special thing. I guess leaving it unsupervised in a room full of inebriated people is asking for trouble.

RagingWhoreBag · 01/01/2019 21:19

I nearly made a cheese tiered cake for a family Xmas get together but didn’t want to get stuck with a whole wheel of Stilton.

I don’t blame the guest for not realising it was the cake if it didn’t have a topper or anything to signify that, but can see why the bride was a bit pissed off!

delboysskinandblister · 01/01/2019 21:22

why didn't they keep it separate from the buffet if it wasn't obvious it was the special wedding 'cheese cake'

DadDadDad · 01/01/2019 21:23

If the bride was upset, hopefully it was a chance for her new husband to support her and show he could be a roque-fort her.

MawkishTwaddle · 01/01/2019 21:23

God, I bet that grated.

What a babybel-end, to do that.

I Camembert to think about it.

Touchmybum · 01/01/2019 21:26

Grate show!

NotUmbongoUnchained · 01/01/2019 21:28

I’ve never been to a wedding with cake toppers. They’re pretty old fashioned and naff! If you see anything at a wedding that 3 tiers like that and don’t assume it’s the cake then you’re pretty stupid.

missmouse101 · 01/01/2019 21:29

Grin Brilliant cheesy puns! Bet the air was Danish blue......

Petalflowers · 01/01/2019 21:34

cake 1

more fancy

I can understand how people would get confused on the plainer cheese cakes, but not the more decorated ones.

2019Reasons · 01/01/2019 21:34

Cheese Louise! How dairy those hungry guests just take the biscuit like that! Cheeky Comtes!
