REALLY Panicking about new blue kitchen

Hi All, we are at the end of a pretty extensive build project. I have spent a year researching and organising my dream kitchen. I’m not usually very bold but wanted to try and be braver than my usual grey so opted for the vision a dark blue and white kitchen.
Was feeling really excited it all, even when it turned up..... but now they have started to install it really isn’t the colour I thought it would be and think it looks way too blue and overall a bit of a design disaster! We have literally spent a fortune on the house and have nothing left to improve anything else. My husband says he likes it (but he says that about everything) and now I’m in proper panic mode!!!
Anyone have any thoughts on whether I am over reacting or if I have made a terrible judgement, what I could do put it right??? Help! I’m really panicking and now feel gutted that rather than feel excited about showing off our new home, I am embarrassed about my design fail! 😫😩🙈

Hi @notveryadventurousname thanks for your message! We are at a bit of a standstill at the minute waiting for the sink and taps to be fitted and was waiting for the floor to be laid before the island can go in.... but the floor actually got laid yesterday! Was also a little worried about that but it’s in and we aren’t really pleased! Phew!
Kitchen hopefully all be fitted and finished in a couple of weeks...... literally just in time for Christmas!!

When my kitchen was fitted the guys were literally here finishing on Christmas Eve (we had problems with the 40ft of new water main fitted that had held everything up and had a knock on effect) - they did a great job pulling out all the stops so we had a kitchen to cook for the descending family, even polished it before they left and I sent them home with bottles of plum brandy!

That floor is absolutely beautiful and I love that you have acres of space to really show it off. We have 50's parquet in our house and has inspired me to think about making it a feature...still won't look half as good as that though. Will check back in a while in case you get a chance to post the end result...no pressure, just hope you enjoy it!

Thanks @Huffabook - it is Spacia Amtico in Featured Oak. They are the slightly larger parquet tile size of 101 x 457. We are really pleased with it! x

We are still not quite finished as everyone stopped for Christmas...... but we are so nearly there! Was waiting to post an update until totally finished but we are close so there is a new one below! A few cupboards still need to go up and lights not in yet but quartz is done.

It does still look pretty blue in the sun, but as people said I do love that about it now and how it changes. I still love it best in the evening light when it looks darker.

We have moved back in and are using it which has certainly helped to love it!!

I still need to accessorise but taking a break from decision making for a few weeks 😆

I think it’s nice and the floor really complements it.

Ours is blue, not navy, but quite a dark blue. Base cupboards are grey matte and the worktop is white quartz with silver sparkle.

It’s a kitchen/dining/living room and the wall opposite the kitchen part is painted denim blue. Some people love it and some prefer light walls, but we like it and an architect who came to discuss an extension, was very complimentary.
