The twaddle continues ......

Suffering from Spooks withdrawal...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 21:13

Funny how you're all suddenly at a loose end of a Monday night.

PrairieOyster · 15/11/2010 21:15

I've read some of that one - steamy isn't it? But you have to pay to read the second half of it, I think...but I never have. Plenty of other places to getafix...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 21:16

I saw Garrow's Law last night. I quite like it - funnily enough it had occurred to me while listening to Clarissa that if Clarissa had pursued a lawsuit against him (as was suggested at one point) he'd probably have been hanged unless Garrow came to the rescue.

And I am very particular about period costumes. Everything depends on the costume and the panache with which it is worn.

Thanks Theresa - am trying to write the final scene but am very much a 'method' writer and therefore struggling to type straight at the mo Wink!

GTN is basically a good guy at heart - he's just always had a lot of options. Now if you don't mind me having a go at John Lucas I'm sure I could come up with something much 'grittier'!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 21:23

How did I know what that photo was going to be? I think we need a Thornton Obsession vid making.

Oyster, I haven't got to the steamy bit yet. There is a steamy bit? They are still circling round each other like a couple of all-in wrestlers. But i don't think i need to read the rest, I reckon us lot could come across something a lot better.

PrairieOyster · 15/11/2010 21:26

There's always a steamy bit!! He he!

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 21:26

Ha! Aspersions have been cast because some of us spend far too much time mucking about conducting earnest philosophical enquiry here, and now someone admits to watching the Alan Titchmarsh show. There is no emoticon to fit the situation. Confused

We've seen it before, but this is for anyone

You are welcome to try your hand with John Lucas, Mrs LN. And when we've done him, so to speak, we could do a French guy called Jean-Luc de la Porte

Grin at trying to type straight. I myself have spent many a sleepless night methoding my definitive Get Guy extravaganza, so by the morning my fingers are nerveless together with the rest of me.
Of course Lovelace doesn't help either.

PrairieOyster · 15/11/2010 21:33

Hope this works as posting links here is a novelty for me:

A kind person made this

Crashes next to flowers!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 21:37

Quick, the smelling salts!

Bodenbabe · 15/11/2010 21:39

Lucky Cassie! Another fab installment, MrsLN. Love the black suit and blue shirt :)

Flowers, that Colin Firth pic was lovely! Prairie, I've met him too, once through work, once through stalking theatre attendance. Very lovely. How/where did you see him? If you can tear yourself away from twirting with John Porter, that is :o

Ah, I think you are right about Lucas's glasses, Theresa. Was too flustered by the idea to notice the style...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 21:40

Where am I?

Thank you, Theresa. You are a good friend to a Lady In Need.

Women so do make passes at Lucas in glasses, eh, Boden? Gorgeous, elven Lucas. I shall never hear that Lady Gaga song again without wibbling.

PrairieOyster · 15/11/2010 21:45

I saw Colin Firth at a screening of Girl with a Pearl Earring. He and Scarlett and the director and screenwriter (I think) answered questions afterwards.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 21:45

Glad you liked the candid snapshot of Mr Darcy, Bodenbabe.

Everything I know about Lady Gaga I have learnt from YT.

Bodenbabe · 15/11/2010 21:50

MrsLN, another vote here for reading the escapades of John Lucas!

That's MiniBoden's fave Lady Gaga song - what is he saying at about 37", any idea anyone?

Heehee at "making passes at Lucas in glasses" :)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 21:52

Have some Polish Cordial to stiffen your spine, Flowers. Big kissy to Mr T, meanwhile.
He sure is looking wonderful tonight , to quote another piece of contemporary music.
Air kissy, air kissy, don't fret.

In other news, have just got to Oyster's steamy bits, or rather the precursor thereof. To soon, she cries. I could have done with a lot more dragging it out.

Fettle · 15/11/2010 21:59

Stop standing on me! Pass your smelling salts flowers!Grin. Still feel a bit wibbly down here!!

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 22:00

No no, Theresa. Things I have learnt from this thread include (1) don't make feeble jokes based on semantics because they are, well, feeble and (2) never, ever trust t'interweb as a translator.

But my man Thornton is indeed looking wonderful tonight, as he does every night.
