The twaddle continues ......

OP posts:
ASmallBunchofFlowers · 11/11/2010 23:30

I rather thought that that was what you would be doing, Theresa dear.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 11/11/2010 23:33

Well Stanley sure is one big bad boy, that's for sure. But won't the feminists be after us for making such evil goings-on ,,,interesting?

Were you liking John Mulligan, Flowers, he has a way with a ratafia I've rarely seen in a man before. And the fork bit is worse than the glove.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 11/11/2010 23:46

I'm saving John Mulligan until the RH episode has finished.

Yes, The Streetcar plot could be tricky. There may have to be a certain amount of rewriting and the direction would have to make it clear that Stanley's crimes were not condoned or excused. Will think again about a role that would have plenty of lurve and passion and no bloodshed. And would be Serious Theatre befitting of a Proper Actor. What would you suggest?

OP posts:
ASmallBunchofFlowers · 11/11/2010 23:52

Ah, now, I would have said that the fork, although somewhat saucy, was nowhere near as saucy as the glove. Or the apple.

Sanity, calm and decency return to the common room

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/11/2010 00:02

I shall meditate on the topic, maybe we should write him an original We would have to be strong and literary and permit ourselves no Mills and Boon elements. Costume or modern day dress? He is so fine in either.

(PS indiscreet fangirl fact I picked up somewhere and can't resist blabbing. His favourite beverage is supposed to be Polish Cordial Spooky!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/11/2010 00:08

Calm and decency, with that look in his eye?
Yer 'avin a laugh

I must plan a detailed study of the relative effect of glove, fork and ratafia on female equanimity. I am sure I caught Lucas North at the glove removal, in season 7. Shall have to check if my data are to be properly representative.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 12/11/2010 00:19

It is a very fine likeness of my beloved. One of my very best finds in the basement here.

. It is tres tres beautiful but may keep you awake at night. And be sure to watch to the end.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/11/2010 00:32

I was just checking out the pick'n'mix and noted that scene where Margaret clutches your beloved's hand convulsively So pash, and much floppy white shirt sleeve in evidence. Your photo was beautiful. Only teasing about his eyes.

Ah Lucas. I am liking him a lot, too much for my own good. I don't think I can watch that vid or I might spontaneously combust. I bet that was a hard day's work for the lady actor...Getting up all blase after, and chatting about shopping and the weather. Croak.
Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/11/2010 00:39

Well..........I did it....

All this and the glove too
merci beaucup

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 12/11/2010 00:40

I knew you were teasing. But it is nevertheless a very powerful Look. Are you referring to the bit where she grasps his hand with both of hers, the bold minx?

Promise me you'll watch the vid tomorrow. It's possibly my greatest feat of archaeology in the basement. There is some glove action.

G'night.

Where is Lucas and the glove?? It's only 8 and I am already hooked in again. Lovely clips by the way and love the song with the John Mulligan clip.

Bodenbabe · 12/11/2010 09:46

Oh, Flowers. There are no words. Well there is one: YUM. That was an amazing vid. Probably a very good job I watched that in the morning with MiniBoden wittering on about Chuggington at the same time. Think I may have melted had I watched it by myself last night. Oh, Lucas ...

Theresa, having seen your clip of Strikeback, I am thinking that maybe the shirtlessness might balance out the horridness :)

Stripey, the glove bit was in Flowers' last link. I will selflessly force myself to watch it again to find out exactly where it is. I'm nothing if not altruistic. Ah, 3'38. Mmmm. Personally, the smirk at 3'34 is working very nicely for me.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 12/11/2010 10:17

The Mulligan song was beautiful, wasn't it? Another educational benefit of this Academy is that it is broadening my musical repertwarr.

So glad you liked the Lucas vid. Even as a Lucas agnostic I was moved.

Thought for the day, as we ponder the life and death of Lucas North

What is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil. Nietzsche

OP posts:
StripeyMoon · 12/11/2010 11:28

How did I miss that?!

Blimey are we on Nietzsche so early in the morning? And without any Polish cordial.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 12/11/2010 11:46

I have just almost spat soup all over my keyboard!!! Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/11/2010 12:47

Oh yes, Lucas North has haunted me ever since that vid last night. Stuff Nietzsche!
(Teri the fangirl only reads chicklit)
Me, I am planning to study the paradigm shift between seasons 8 and 9. For how can anyone who demonstrates such sensitivity be evil? And don't tell me it was an act. It can only be that parallel universe thingy.

My other thought on the subject was that the person who chose the blue bedlinen deserves to be shot. A downright cynical exploitation of our, ahem finer feelings.
