as to the identity of Liz Jones mystery rock star lover? Apologies if I am repeating a thread but just read today's 'wingefest' and can't believe its anything other than a work of fiction.

Actually not sure she defo going but she was looking for a dress suitable for the Red Carpet, probably just as well she not going as the dress is an outrage. What is going to happen to all those animals if she moves back to London. She will be like Cat woman in that flat with all her moggies.

why the hell is she going to the Oscars? to criticise all the A list stars on what they are wearing? I have it on now, will look out for her.

Did anyone spot her? I wonder how loosely she used the phrase "going to the Oscars"? Did she get a party invite or was she just hanging around outside to report on gowns for the DM? Hmm

Digressing slightly..but i would like to make a point of liz' perception of things. In the article concerning her visit to an exclusive boutique to get a frock....she clearly states how nice it was to be greeted by a man in a three piece suit. Now, unless he changed to have his photo taken with liz (which i would doubt) he is clearly wearing a waistcoat and jacket which do not match and jeans. The point i am trying to convey is that Liz sees thing as she wants to see them.

There is a column femail in the DM by her talking about who wore what, so it looks like she was observing. I did wonder whether the RS gets party invites though.

Not if he's a has been, I doubt it. Unless he has produced something or his music has been used. Who'd want to go anyway? It sounds completely dull.

I think she can afford to buy a small flat in London because she appears in the dm almost every day with one column or another. Even the m on s she writes some political column apart from her you mag one. She must be earning a fortune. She is always jetting off here, there and everywhere in order to write about more stuff. She must be rolling in it and is probably employing someone to look after her farm. How much per column??

I believe she is on a £200,000 salary.That is apart from the expenses, and other bits and bobs.

Aren't a lot of journos self-employed, even if they write for one main publication? I know she was the editor of Marie Claire at one point but got sacked for speaking out about overly skinny models.

Well, then shes just gone up in my estimation if thats what really happened.

I would say they are and its not overly paid either. She must do other stuff as well.

She ruined it all though by having snide little digs about anyone in her rural community that she encounters who isn't reed thin. Seems she jumped on the anti-size zero bandwagon but still judges people who carry more weight than her. She is a mass of contradiction and a total hypocrite - she still bangs on about the women that slept with her husband but threw herself at a couple of men who were in commited relationships and wrote about it in her column.
