Who would actually recognise her appart from us and DM readers (infact, we have to put ourselves in that catergory now even if it is online!) my mother or sister wouldnt. They would recognise an aging rockstar though.

Just read the column. If they went to one of those places in Hoxton full of much younger people who are up their own arses into a trendier scene its possible that he wouldn't be recognised I suppose? What I don't understand is how she can afford to move back to London? Not long ago she couldn't afford to eat and has major creditors so I wonder if he is paying? Also, what is happening to the country place and all her animals, she said a few weeks ago that there had been no interest from buyers

I, personally do not believe a word concerning her poverty.
I don't think even she would allow someone to buy her a property.
There must be some interest in her property for sale, i mean, it is great, though a tad overpriced.
And, yes, what is going to happen to the animals..fobbed off to an amimal sanctuary..????
I can't see her doing that, she does genuinely care for them.
Anyhow, it's given us lots to speculate about.

And, yes, upon giving it some thought, i have only one friend who would know who Liz is, and would recognise her.

absolutely no-one in my circle knows who she is. Apart from a colleague who brings her granny's You magazine into work. I have to say for someone that writes about clothes, she must be on a fantastic salary.

Didn't she have a book published of her diaries? Wonder who bought it though . I can't believe how much she appears to earn based on the properties she has had an all the consumerist overpriced tat she buys, it does seem like money for old rope as it were

A lot of the people who know who she is seem to dislike her based on her endless bleating about her designer stuff and the abusing of poor co-op shop assistants for not stocking decent (£30+) bottles of wine and Illy coffee. She doesn't do herself many favours.

Alot of clothes and stuff she probably gets good discounts on but, that doesnt apply to property or groceries. Im surprised she even bloody drinks. I cant imagine her letting her hair down. I hope she has put on weight since she met this guy, she needs too.

Im happy for her though, it gives us all hope.

Yes I'm happy for her. I don't think I'd like her in real life (well she wouldn't like me, with her electron microscope vision about other people's grooming/appearance) but I hope she finds some happiness.

I do think she's probably financially overstretched, her house isn't such a wreck as she likes to make out judging from the photos.

She loves to exaggerate though....selling her 46-acre estate will allow her to buy a 1-bed flat in East London?!!?!?! I know London is more expensive but that's pushing it.

Perhaps she's renting? If she is freelance then she may be able to class it as a business expense instead of paying for hotels

Whatkungfu....hands up, yes I admit I bought the diaries. The first one has some very very funny bits in in - it's a shame there weren't more - some of it had been published in her columns already, of course. Some of her observations are spot on, though, and she has a marvellous self deprecating way of writing (I don't mean for a minute about the 'bleaty' observations - IYKWIM, seasoned Liz watchers will know!). Haven't read the Exmoor ones yet, though they did get slated.

Yes, she does ask for a lot of it, and I do want to strangle her scrawny neck sometimes, but I guess that there is more than a passing similarity with the way we both are (being painfully shy, painting her parent's front door so she could get to see the boy next door is just what I'd've done!!)

Sometimes I do feel sorry for her but then she makes a crass comment like the one when she was staying in the Travelodge and demanded they bring her a glass of prosecco.

I bought both the diaries ;-)admittedly 92p each from Amazon, anyway at the end of the Exmoor diary she sums up and mentions the Rockstar and describes his eyes as "piggy" which is a perfect description of JK, another thing, JK just appeared in River City BBC1 Scotland last Tuesday night, 22nd Feb. He walked through The Tall Ship (the pub) now it's set in Glasgow, so in future diaries, listen out for her mentioning him travelling up to glasgae for a cameo???

And off topic, Liam Gallagher pays well for his children, as I've read Lisa Moorish say so, she has Molly his daughter along with Astile Pete Dohertys son.
