as to the identity of Liz Jones mystery rock star lover? Apologies if I am repeating a thread but just read today's 'wingefest' and can't believe its anything other than a work of fiction.

No, he wasnt there. He wasnt in the list of celebs that were spotted. Was the rs supposed to be performing there?

etc etc etc ?.. all over the net ?.. yes you can find a few places where it says "Jim Kerr" but mostly they have been corrected / updated to state "Robert Plant"

Although it does seem that Ms Jones has been very clever using lots of red herring references in her column that mislead the reader into thinking it might be Kerr ?. I think LJ would have known that when she started dating someone so famous people would look back at previous articles she had written ?.. so when they found some ancient piece she had flippantly said she would not mind if Jim Kerr emailed her they latched on to that.

As for the red herrings my thoughts are:

(1) meeting the pregnant daughter -- this could have been some other family member of R.Plant, perhaps not his 42 year old daughter, perhaps a grand-daughter or niece or wife of someone (e.g. daughter-in-law / step daughter-in-law)

(2) was this the FIRST mention of the "rock star" (10 July 2010) ..??

My theory is that Robert Plant has been used to women rolling over for him and being "easy" pickings who he could charm into bed for years ...... and that poses no challenge for him ...... then he goes and meets LJ and finds himself with a difficult, demanding GF (she's veggie) and neurotic, and devoted to her animals, and when they arrive at a swish hotel rather than her being bowled over by the place and swept into his arms, she asks him something about "have they got wi-fi" ........

I imagine for a man who has found women to roll over to his charms rather easily for the past 40 years, a totally neurotic, beauty and fashion freak, and self-obsessed narcissist like La Jones would be the perfect challenge !!

I can't even get into a discussion about it tbh. It wouldn't be difficult to see if she was in VIP area of glasto. Afterall, Heat etc have loads of photos of who was there and, if he is anyone remotely well known he will be there somewhere. The only person I saw was Harry Enfield!

Plant has been touring the US for months but Simple Minds are playing Delamere Forest today, followed by several festivals in europe. Isn't Plant involved with one of the backing musicians in his band?

I never believed at all that the RS was made up but have just read a piece online, written by a journalist called Liz Hoggard for the Evening Standard in which she said that prior to the RS boyfriend appearing, readers were getting bored with just reading about animals, and that her editor was rumoured to be thinking of getting someone else to take over her comumn. Then, with amazing coincidence the RS story started.
It has made me wonder, and as the journalist said, and as has been said here in the past. the fact that SURELY (if the RS is as famous as she has made out) they would have been spotted somewhere.
Wouldn't it be awful if it was all made up and we've all been wasting our time?

It would be awful if she is lying. I don't like that. It's true though, why has no one seen them? Surely the circles they run in are pretty small. If they are getting rid of her then at least she got a face lift out of it.

Well on another forum thingy I contribute to someone said they saw Kerr on GMTV (or whatever its called now) recently talking about his hotel in Italy and his girlfriend who runs it, and the GF did not sound like Liz J.
