My sibling is a celebrity AMA

I recently spoke to a friend about it who
had lots of questions which lead to an interesting conversation, things I’d never said or thought about before.

When I was younger I used to feel incredibly jealous of them and had a very short and unsuccessful attempt at creating my own fame.

Now I’m older with my own dc and have seen the effects up close I definitely think the negatives out way the positives and it’s not something I would ever want for my children.

Do you think they worry from a financial perspective about work drying up? Have they planned longer term financially eg a back up career or pension?

As I said I know who Amanda Holden is, I have never watched anything she is on. Genuine question, is she / was she an actress?

I stand by my statement that she is not an A list celebrity. People like Helen Mirren, Victoria Beckham, Adele and Harry Styles are A listers. And she does not have international fame either.

OP didn't say 'let's play 20 questions' FFS. Presumably she means ask me anything about the experience of being related to a celebrity, not ask me questions trying to guess who my sister is!!!

OP, do your kids and their cousins interact in a normal way or are the cekebrity's kids living in a different world to your kids? Do you feel like your parents treat you differently to her?

She did an afternoon quiz show, also one of those property make over shows. If I saw her in a café I wouldn't necessarily clock it was a celebrity.
Not in the league of Helen Mirren, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson etc.
So I think the sibling he/she/they is probably the former rather than the latter.
Although who knows. Could be Alan Carr. Could be Cat Deeley. Could be anyone.

My friends niece was/is a celebrity on the reality show "Housewives of...........". They do meet up with family when they have time. But it's a full on career, and not for the faint hearted.

It's very obvious who the so called celebrity is (or meant to be). I'm very surprised Sophie came on here though. Suggests not all is well (although when has it ever been).

Very presumptuous of you! I didn’t even know that Katie Price has a sister called Sophie. So not only is the claim that “my sister is a celebrity”, a bit dubious (yes I know KP is a celebrity but I repeat a dubious one), but her sister doing a AMA based on KP is a bit urrgh, KP being not everyone’s opinion of a TRUE celebrity in the class of A listers that have international acclaim.

I personally do not think OP would be getting on MN with a AMA about KP, totally unnecessary and would be really disappointing if it was.

Funny you should say this. I met her real sister in a professional context. One of her colleagues knew I was meeting her and mentioned the connection - seemed to wonder if it would come up. Would have been beyond bizarre if it had, given the circumstances, and of course it did not. I very much doubt she is the OP here.
