Hi @Thecountdownn i’m in the Yorkshire area. I don’t have Facebook, I know a few others have mentioned groups on there.

Can anyone recommend a surgeon as I would like to have this but no idea of how to sift through to find a good surgeon.

Where are you

sillysausage92 · 15/03/2024 08:07

Does anyone know when we can go swimming? Would it be the 6 week point?

Heartfullofcheese · 15/03/2024 08:20

My surgeon said a good couple of months for swimming.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 15/03/2024 11:11

I went swimming 7 weeks after mine as I had a holiday booked, it was fine because they were well healed.

Singletrackmind · 15/03/2024 14:20

So many questions!!!
Swimming … when you are healed only.
Bras … depends what your surgeon says … mine said keep wearing day & night to stay perky.
Puckering - yes and it will go/ flatten as you heal, takes time
Surgeons - ideally one that’s near you. Join the Facebook groups … I don’t do social media at all but joined for the info, it’s useful & you can get recommendations/ see results etc

Hope all you recent people are good/ healing well!

sillysausage92 · 15/03/2024 16:16

Thank you @Singletrackmind and the other PP's!

I have another question I'm sorry Blush

My left boob is giving me serious shorting pains today! Around the nipple/areola area and above it. Is this nerves reconnecting? I keep getting worried I'm getting some short of infection and this is the pain from that! No other infection indicator, but wow they are quite painful when they happen! Kind of remind me of when your milk comes in after having a baby and you feel all full and swollen.

I’m in the South Yorkshire area.

Singletrackmind · 15/03/2024 16:58

@sillysausage92 no worries & yeah it’s nerves or ‘zingers’ .. sporadic / random/ still get it now 7 months on. Don’t worry unless you get something that’s constant!

Madagascary · 15/03/2024 20:38

Oh yes, sorry I should’ve read the thread before I posted. I can do central Southern England which is of no use to you whatsoever! Sorry

Bigtitsbettyforgotherpassword · 15/03/2024 20:53

Guess who’s phone updated and wiped her password, then couldn’t get a reminder because it was an old email account.

@Lesserspottedbex I will DM you.

Brilliant … we’d be lost without you ☺️

I feel like 5wks post op is a major turning point (to anyone in early stages of recovery)... suddenly it doesn't all feel so delicate, I can get out of bed without taking a deep breath, and I don't think about them nearly as much. Missing lifting weights and sleeping on my side still... but those things now don't feel so impossible in the future (obvs holding off on weights for a while)

Singletrackmind · 18/03/2024 13:06

@countrytweed … sounds good! I went back to the gym week 5/ lower body only, not picking anything heavy up👍… was v careful & gradual … & don’t think I introduced anything upper until about week 8-9. Needs to be a one way trajectory.

Lauraellferg · 18/03/2024 20:52

Me again! 😂 I’m just shy of 5 weeks post op now and my left boob is hurting a bit and I’ve noticed a hard lump in the side of the boob! Has anyone else had lumpy parts???

Madagascary · 18/03/2024 21:32

I’d phone about a lump m8

Definitely get it checked out but it could just be scar tissue so don’t worrry too much. I had some weird lumps at first and was worried that I would never be able to examine my breasts but I know what’s normal now.

Heartfullofcheese · 19/03/2024 06:51

@Lauraellferg yes lots of lumps and bumps including one I thought would never go but eventually it did. I did a little scar massage when rubbing in oil and I think it helped.
Obviously get it checked with your surgeon if it persists but I would say it’s very normal at this stage- there will still be tons of swelling at this point.

Madagascary · 19/03/2024 07:34

i STILL get the weird itch between mine when I have ANY alcohol. On a bit not with scars either

Weirdo 😁…
… lumps & bumps … can be fat necrosis/ scar tissue etc. If in doubt, get checked out 👍

My work here is done. Changed the tapes today, and everything is healing beautifully. Boobs are looking mighty fine. Cooking our last dinner tonight and it’s off to Gatwick for me tomorrow. Think OH will come in about 3 weeks time to take her to the appointment with the surgeon in London. Thanks all for your help and good wishes.

Fantastic … really pleased everything has worked out so well 🙌

CatrinVennastin · 20/03/2024 11:29

@veiledsentiments that's fantastic, so pleased your daughter is doing well.

only 8 weeks to go for me now...

wish I could fast forward to be honest as it was much warmer here today and I was so uncomfortable in my giant bra.

Madagascary · 20/03/2024 20:24

Is the patient pleased?

veiledsentiments · 21/03/2024 08:15

If that was directed to me, then yes. She’s absolutely delighted. She is only 160 cm tall and weighs 48kg, so not having to lug around a big chest is the best thing ever. She now gets to wear the right size clothing, and she looks fabulous!
