Let's face it, dondraper, she could be flogging bloody chocolate fireguards for all I care, op has done amazingly well!. Truly inspired.

Talk about unwelcome negativity! There's ALWAYS one!

Great work op but I also don't like the flogging of SW and your own instagram account on this thread. Sorry if that makes me an old grouch.

Pinkyponkcustard · 16/01/2019 20:07

Well done Debbie! I’m now following you on instagram.

Do you drink? If so how do you incorporate this?
Do you eat all of your syns everyday?
Do you have a supper? If so what do you have? (Evenings are my danger zone)

Chesneyhawkes1 · 16/01/2019 20:46

Wow well done. Amazing achievement and you look fantastic.

I was asked if I had an Instagram account so I answered yes.

I can’t start a thread about weight loss without saying which plan I’m following, how I’ve done it, what I love about the plan and how it works for me. I’m not employed by SW nor on any way paid or sponsored by them.

I assume you mean alcohol? I very rarely drink but if I do it’s spirits with diet mixers but at Christmas or treat I’ll occasionally have a baileys. I prefer to spend my syns elsewhere. For a drink that feels like a treat but is free on the plan I’ll buy no added sugar fizzy drinks from Aldi and M&S (tried their fizzy cloudy apple over Christmas and it was lovely)

Yes I usually have between 10 and 15 syns every day.

I usually save about 10 syns for the evening and have a packet of crisps around 5 syns and some form of choc around 5 syns with a piece of fruit. I make it up like a treat plate and sometimes add a portion of cheese, syn free hummus carrot sticks etc. You could have it in One go or spread through the evening. Aldi sell sugar free sweets at half a syn each and sugar free gum also helps with the sweet tooth. Or half a syn hartleys jelly or just a glass of sugar free juice, hot or cold x

Thank you Debbie. I think the drink is going to have to go at least until I get to target!

Queenofthedrivensnow · 19/01/2019 15:14

Well done!!!! My v close friend has been doing sw a few months now and we can see a huge difference. Another friend a few years back said only sw works!

What's the biggest craving you have that iou can't indulge in?

MyNameIsJane · 19/01/2019 15:25

You look bloody fantastic! Well done.

I have lost 2 and a half stone over the last 6 months and am feeling so much better. (I’m carrying on as I’m still overweight)

Well done again! Flowers

I do try and incorporate most things in my daily eating or lighter versions of them. But I struggle with chocolate spread, I can’t portion it I eat it or dip things in the jar! I’ve bought a jar or two over the years and had to throw them away after a naughty binge! Other things I avoid are pastries (croissants and sausage rolls) and takeaways.

I’m lucky with takeaways though cos DH is such a picky eater that we never had them frequently anyway. As I say I make a healthy version of things like sausage rolls and proper fish and chips are an occasional treat, However actifry chips done in fry light are delicious

Do you still binge? What are you strategies for getting back on track? I’m still overeating from Christmas Sad

Very occasionally I’ll grab that pot of chocolate spread and a Packet of biscuits but I’ve noticed that I can stop myself earlier than I would have done.

I just start back on plan the next meal.

Other strategies are keeping busy, making my meals filling and satisfying with the three main food types protein carbs and veg. Regular exercise and drinking water

Wow...well done you! Fantastic achievement! You must be so proud of yourself. Have you had a picture taken where you fit in the one leg, of your old large trousers?! I would so do that!

DwangelaForever · 21/01/2019 19:26

Brilliant results!! I had around 3 and a half stone to lose starting in Jan there I've lost 6lbs so far so it's good hearing stories of it working so well for people. What did you use your syns on? In meals or extra treats? Did you use your full allowance every day and did you always use your healthy extras?

Timmytoo · 21/01/2019 19:36

Wow that's an insane amount to lose. Well done 🙏. It must've been so daunting and seemingly impossible when you started. What an amazing achievement.

Ethel36 · 21/01/2019 21:29

I've got my last stone to lose now. I'm exercising most days. And drinking only water. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Annasgirl · 22/01/2019 14:10

I generally use 10 to 15 syns daily and work on a rough guideline of 5 syns for sauces, gravies, yogurts, 5 syns for crisps and 5 syns for chocolate.

I’ve always had my healthy extras, B is mostly used on different cereals for breakfast and A on skimmed milk and measured cheese.

Just keep going and don’t give up! Make it a lifestyle something you can continue for life. Swap things around and keep things fresh and interesting.

Just wondering when you started to notice a difference in your health and energy levels. I've lost 6lb so far and wondering how long it will take to feel a difference.

I think it was a gradual thing, I started walking and gradually increased the length and pace, I gradually increased my intake of water, I always eat plenty of fruit and veg and then all of a sudden on a holiday or da6 out I’d notice I was able to do much more than previously and stand in the kitchen etc. I would probably say some of it is mind over matter, and sometimes you just have to get up and do it.
