eeyoredebbie

Massive congratulations. You look amazing

eeyoredebbie · 19/07/2018 21:09

Do you feel lighter and did you have aches and pains before ?

Yes I feel physically and mentally lighter.

Yes aches and pains, fatigue, skin issues, knee and back pain everything.

Now I spend time in the. Kitchen cooking, I do more around the house, I get changed and shower quicker and I run around after a puppy!

Do you ever think it will feel normal /natural to eat the way you do? Do you still feel in a diet?

I know it's a lifelong commitment to be healthy. Easy for some than others.

delphguelph · 19/07/2018 21:10

Another question : can we please have the curry loaf recipe?

noseoftralee · 19/07/2018 21:15

You look like a different person. Amazing achievement!

haverhill · 19/07/2018 21:17

Massive well done, OP. I’ve needed to lose just 2 stone for the last 10 years and still can’t get my arse in gear. You’re amazing and look fabulous.

SealSong · 19/07/2018 21:19

Well done OP. Can you pm me your link or name for youtube please?

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 20/07/2018 05:59

It’s not often a thread makes me happy

The mental and physical benefits are amazing . I think people forget it’s so much more than ‘looking slimmer’

One more - do you get annoyed by all the shocked comments when you see people ?

eeyoredebbie · 20/07/2018 11:02

Do you ever think it will feel normal /natural to eat the way you do? Do you still feel in a diet?

To be quite honest after the first couple of weeks I didn’t feel like I was on a diet. I just have to put a bit more thought into how I prepare and cook meals, what snacks I eat, what order I eat things in etc. As I’ve said I’ve allowed treats like ice cream and cake on holidays and birthdays and every day I eat chocolate and crisps within syns. I’m being totally honest and say it’s a lifestyle change. More organised rather than being on a diet. I do pick up a pot of fruit now rather than a chocolate bar.

can we please have the curry loaf recipe?

SLIMMING WORLD CURRY LOAF
1 packet savoury rice curry flavour
1 tin chickpea dahl
3 eggs
Some curry powder to taste
Cook the savoury rice following pack instructions
Meanwhile open the can of chickpeas into a bowl (I like to blend the chickpeas but it’s up to you)
Mix in the eggs and curry powder and add the rice, combine well
Place a loaf tin liner in a 2lb loaf tin or otherwise spray well with Fry Light
Pour mix into tin and bake on 200 for 45 mins
Leave to cool completely and slice 😁😋
Using the ingredients pictured will be SYN FREE but please check the syns of any alternatives

Wow you look amazing. I'm going to follow your link

Syfychannel · 21/07/2018 22:49

Hi Debbie i've been looking at your YouTube today which is great and I enjoyed seeing your doggie too.

Groovee · 22/07/2018 07:00

Where do you buy your chickpea dahl?

wombats · 22/07/2018 07:06

Congrats OP! I have a friend with similar BMI, hoping to achieve weight loss, been working on it for a couple years now. I want to be supportive when she tells me about it, but don't want to be rude. Are there any comments you've received that are well meaning but really come off in a hurtful way? For example, when she tells me she's down 10 stone and halfway but tired and struggling, should I say congratulations, you're doing great, I know you can make it the rest of the way? Or is that not embracing her as she is, IYSWIM?

Movablefeast · 22/07/2018 07:31

Hi Debbie I just subscribed to your YouTube channel. I lost weight and got back to exercise myself in 2017 after a decade hiatus. Congratulations on your amazing achievement, you look so healthy and much younger.

I would like to know about your exercise, what did you start with and how did your exercise routine change over the last couple of years as you lost weight?

notanurse2017 · 22/07/2018 12:08

Wombats of course you should congratulate your friend as she successfully loses weight, why wouldn't you?

Syfychannel · 22/07/2018 14:07

I think I know what wombat means. After I lost some weight my GM who is not known for her tact said "You look so much better now, you were really looking fat before the diet." Grin

eeyoredebbie · 23/07/2018 18:03

Sorry only just realised there are more replies I thought it had dropped out if view!

Will be back later x

Where do you buy your chickpea dahl?

I get it on my Morrison’s online order (people say it’s in the world food aisle)

Also a while ago people said it was in B&M Bargains

Most comments are really nice but for me it can be a bit hurtful when people say well done but keep going... it’s all personal though so hard to say. I just try to see the positive. I think it’s most insensitive when people ask about loose skin, I’ve had people say where’s all your skin gone? I’ll just flap out the stomach to show you shall I Grin

I think the way you’ve phrased it is great, encouraging and showing you believe in your friend x

I would like to know about your exercise, what did you start with and how did your exercise routine change over the last couple of years as you lost weight?

I started with walking (the dog) for five minutes and slowly increased the length and pace until I was at half an hour a day. At weekends I would walk further around local beauty spots. I still walk every day now.

Then I moved into YouTube videos, I started with Leslie Sansome walk at home, now I do the body coach, fitness blender and be fit, sometimes yoga.

Then I joined a gym, had a programme made for me, to do once a week. treadmill, bike, stepper, weights, floor routine. Every so often I had it revised. However at the moment I’m just doing jogging and cycling. Then I joined a circuit class, next Aqua aerobics and finally fitness stretch or dynamic conditioning and i do two of those classes a week.

Before I got my puppy i completed couch to 5k, took about 12 weeks but I did it and was really proud. I haven’t been able to keep it up though but can jog a lot better than previously!
