Wow well done OP you're awesome. That's so bloody hard. You must be so proud! GrinSmileBrewThanks

Do you still stay to group? What was your biggest weight-loss in a week?

Yes I stay every week and am now part of the social team. Group has been a massive contribution to helping me stay on track. Yes sometimes it’s Boring and people are long winded about their toilet habits or what they’ve eaten but the tips, support and awards are worth it

My first week was 9½lb and last week for some reason I lost 7½lb taking me to my lightest weight and below target but some of that was losing a gain from previous week x

I can’t mention everyone individually but thank you for the well dones. One reason I wanted to share my experience is because SW gets some stick and it does work and you can fit the plan around your life and way of eating. I also saw the 26 stone thread below and that made me want to share

Well done! You're amazing x

DieAntword · 16/07/2018 22:30

How do you mentally cope with cravings? Similarly how do you mentally cope with genuine hunger when you’ve eaten “enough” I know slimming world has free foods but some of them still have significant calories (pasta) and others are really not genuinely satisfying (eg leafy greens).

BertBox · 16/07/2018 22:32

No questions atm, but thank you, you're an inspiration!

Battlingthrough · 16/07/2018 22:38

I've just started Slimming World and lost nine pounds on the first week definitely giving it a go.

I am on a low budget so struggling and I miss curry :(
Do you have any advice low cost meals and curry without loads and loads of ingredients.

Applepudding2018 · 16/07/2018 22:47

That is absolutely amazing OP!! Well done!!

Do you ever eat the slimming world meals in Iceland or follow the recipes in the magazine?

What are your favourite 'veggie' meals?

Coco2891 · 16/07/2018 22:48

Battlingthrough I made a nice curry -just googled slimming world curry , it was basically chicken loads of veg and curry powder x

eeyoredebbie · 16/07/2018 22:57

Are you on instagram ?

Yes I’m on instagram and it’s been a massive help, inspiration and support to me. Also watching stories and putting pics up keeps my mind occupied. I’ll Pm my user name x

Broadly speaking, I take the attitude that nothing is banned so I’ll try and fit things I crave into the plan. I’ve had fish and chips, Ice cream, chocolate crisps, as well as pasta and jacket spuds all while being on plan. I do follow the one third speed on your plate rule at every meal though and this really helps me feel satisfied.

As well as the above I drink lots of water and keeping busy with hobbies is another tip. I don’t find that I am genuinely hungry after a meal. I usually try to include carbs, protein and veg or fruit in all three meals

Shop at Aldi, shop in season and try to adapt what you are currently eating to be on plan.
For example i ate chips a lot before (usually oven chips) now I do SW chips in actifry and have some potato and some carrot chips. I had jacket pots before, huge ones with lots of cheese, now I have a smaller potato, with my HEA allowance of cheese and add a salad

Batch cooking cheaper things like curry loaf and quiche will help. And as PP says you can make curry with few ingredients. SW has a new five ingredients recipe book coming out soon too

Yes I have eaten a lot of the Iceland range, I relied on it for quick meals after group or at weekends. Now I buy the Aldi Slim Well range and batch cook a lot.

I’m not a veggie but I’ve recently made homity pie and potato bhaji tortilla which were both veggie and delicious. Also been told my carrot cake baked oats were veggie!

Is savoury rice veggie? If so curry loaf would be another one

Well done OP! I’ve lost 2.5st with SW.. and agree that it’s easy to get back on plan after you have a massive meal out or whatever.
I’m also back to a size 12! Well done you!
