Stuff you think must happen to other people - but can't risk asking?

Anyone else have stuff happen to you that must happen to others.

But you can't really ask because what if they say "NO! How weird!" And then you can never talk to that person again. Wink

So I'm bringing it to the anonymity of Mumsnet.

I'd love to hear other peoples. And will start off.

  • whenever I wash my hair in the shower (I have long hair) loose hairs wash down my back and end up in my bum crack. End of my shower I have to check there's no hair left.

I can't be alone in this grossness! (Or can I)

You're not alone, same happens to me.

I used to wear hair extensions and could've made a wig out of what was pulled from my arse crack Grin

I have EXACTLY this problem. Beware though, I now have a pilonidal cyst and I'm convinced it's because of the hair wash hair

Well. That's weird. Your question was the first thing that came to mind when I started reading!

So yes. I regularly have to pluck clumps of hair out my bum. They also get stuck in other places too. Ffs. Hmm

Yaaaay! Thanks all!

If anything else crops to mind over the day I'll add it.

Hair in crack - yes

Belly button has a discharge at certain time of the month?

Oh this is interesting!

Mine does get sore sometimes. It's very deep and not a hole, just a line of that makes sense, so can't get air in it.

But I've never noticed if it happens at certain times! I will start paying attention.

Did you poo whilst giving birth? Key thought of mine being due in April with first baby. The stats are high for this from what I hear but I can't really ask haha!

Sometimes I will get a pain like someone has stabbed me up the bum, only lasts a second and it's really sharp!

I get my long hair stuck under my boobs if I don't sleep with it in a plait. It hurts if you get it stuck and then try turning over!

I did - had a water birth too so the midwife had to fish it out with a little net Grin I was full of gas and air so thought it was the most hilarious thing that had ever happened (in real life I don't even fart in my front of my DH, just to give you an idea of how mortified I expected I'd be.)

Anyone else sometimes just spit everywhere when you open your mouth? Like, you don't say anything, but just... spit 🤷‍♀️

Hair in bum crack - yes
Belly button discharge - yes but not at certain times of the month
Poo during labour - no, I thought I was but it was the baby's head! I was panicking more when I thought it was poo.

I have never fished hair out of my bum crack and I wear mine long. So it can’t be universal.

I always want to know where and how exactly you are supposed to cut your nails. I mean surely wherever you do it, they fly off everywhere. Do people do it in the bathroom? In their bedroom? Do you go hunting for nail pieces after or sweep or vac after? Do you do it in the bath? Over the loo? It’s so grim to find nail pieces but there never seems to be a sensible pace to do it...

@MisiSam that sounds like piles to me.

Also there was a Keith Lemon sketch about "shooty shooty bum bum" that you might want to check out.

@MisiSam I get this but always thought it was because of my endometriosis? It's a shocker of a pain and if I'm in the middle of talking to.m someone I'll have to literally walk away for a moment!

I didn’t poo in labour. However, DH thought I had... and then realised that it was just my massively engorged labia Shock Blush everything has gone back to a normal size and colour now I assure you!

I should probably NC after this post Blush

Fairly sure I did after I had my epidural, but at that point I'd been in labour for 24 hours and was a bit out of it. Midwife and DH denied it, but I think they were just trying to spare my feelings. Oh well!

Worrying I’ve got a defective bum crack now, as that’s never happened to me.

Arse daggers is definitely a thing, I get it sometimes when on my period. It’s fucking awful!

Sometimes I remember an event from the past and I physically inhale with the shame of it. Nothing bad, just mortifying things where I was a knob. They bring me physical pain.

I fuckin live for threads like this.

Guilty of pulling hair out of my arse crack.
Also guilty for fishing fluff out my belly button.

Didn't pop in labour but I defo pissed myself, the midwife said it was my waters but I was like no I'm defo doing this on purpose.

Does anyone else get satisfaction of pulling a really good bogey out there nose?

Every so often I wake up to a two / three inch hair growing out of the middle of my forehead.

I wear make up daily and have a good skin care routine so I'd notice it if it had been growing for a while or had been lurking under a spot.

I did! 😳 I said "oh no a poo is coming" and the midwife tried to be really subtle about it but my husband then announced to the whole room "urgh, you are! It stinks!!!". 😂
