Morning all

Remember that this week (along with last week) is infamous for seeing little or no weight loss!

Don't change what you're doing, just keep on keeping on and things will start moving again soon.

Here's the spreadsheet

Hope you all have a good week

Morning everyone! Thanks for the new thread BIWI. Can't believe we're on week 4 already!

I'm happy because I had a good weigh in and have lost around 10lbs in the last 3 weeks. It seems to be pretty steady so far, with no amazing whoosh of half a stone in one go for me. Feeling good on the inside at the moment - calm and positive.

I'm a bit worried about falling off the wagon with some of the Christmas events coming up. I also have a rare night out to go to in a week or so (a 70s disco!) - am I right in thinking vodka and soda is the best thing to drink BIWI? I'm hoping to eat loads before I go so I'm not tempted by a bag of chips on the way home! I really hope I can get my ass in gear afterwards and jump straight back on the wagon. I'm bloody detemined this time and don't want to be de-railed!!

Hope you've all had a good weeknd Smile.

Morning all!

No change for me today, but I have been lower during the week, so will KOKO.

I'm checking in /starting here. I need to go on my computer though to print off the rules!
Breakfast is going to be my biggest issue I think. I rarely eat anything and don't usually have any issue getting to lunch time or later. I'm a bit of a 16:8er too so that messes with that.
However I've made the first switch already and it's a glass of water for starters. (I dare not admit what I had before!)
Food list looks doable ...
I think you had some week 3-4 add ins but I can live without fruit, I don't like nuts and seeds anyway, but I can't remember what the third category was.
Do people use anything instead of bread? So if I had poached eggs on toast before, what would it be with now.

2 lbs down for me, happy with that!
Had a lovely meal out last night, avoided the calamari & cheesy garlic bread, had slow roasted duck and sprouting broccoli, was delicious and 1 dark choc truffle for pudding. Decided it would be similar to a couple of squares of dark choc and much better than creme brulee or tiramisu!

Very grateful for your reminder that it is not unusual to see no change on the 3rd/4th week. After steady progress it is discouraging when suddenly there is no loss. Here's to a new week and hoping for better things.

I've lost 14oz this week. 3lb in total over 4 weeks. I am now 5.6lb off goal. Time to up the ante!

As I suspected sts today but was higher in the week so hopefully this is the start of a new trend downwards.

Currently got celariac cooking on the hob to try out bubble and squeak for breakfast.

Lunch probably egg salad

Dinner belly pork with soy green veg.

1lb down, i’ve been lower in the week but had a few glasses of wine on Saturday so thought it might go up a little. Happy with steady loss though!

Week 4! Well done for losses and koko.

I’m struggling a bit, I’m struggling to get out of the maintenance mindset I settled into over the summer. I’m not at the target I set myself but I’m now wondering if my body has reached its natural place if that makes sense?

However, I’m not at a healthy BMI, despite not really believing in it, I have been using it as an indicator. I’m only 5’2” so to be in the healthy range I need to be 9’11 or 13? I was 10’2 when I last weighed in so not far. I don’t want to look any slimmer.

So wise boot campers - what do you think? Any advice gratefully received. I am somewhat relieved to know I can exercise some self control and maintain on this woe - have failed at that in the past.

Ahhh the bubble and squeak was excellent. Added mustard and veg stock powder and lots of butter and pepper. Served with two fried eggs. Cracked the yolks into the b & s. Lovely.

No loss here, but that's entirely my own fault - I sunk a bottle of white wine on Friday night. On the bright side, a few months ago I would have then carried on and had more wine on Saturday and Sunday - and I didn't!! So, I need to KOKO. I may post a couple of daily menus later on in the week, to check I'm doing everything correctly - but not today - off to London, where I will be lunching on one of the few salads at Pret that is low in carbs...

2lb off for me , very happy to be 11 stone exactly ( though 10-13 would be even better , next Monday hopefully)

Looking forward to another week .

@BIWI thanks for all the organising and telling off , just wish I’d done an earlier Bootcamp , but at least I’m in now .

@Rshard

I like you am a bmi skeptic. Are you perhaps quite fit and athletic? If so your muscle mass will skew things. Regardless if you are happy where you are why change? I have a fairly high goal weight but want to get beneath it to give myself some leeway. What about doing that?

Placemarking for this week. Had a little loss which is nice!

Report
boldlygoingsomewhere · 05/11/2018 09:34

Rshard, I know what you mean. I’m maintaining well but am not quite at ideal weight. The losses are very slow and I’m finding it hard to be very strict with myself because of it. I really need to get my belly fat reduced though - it’s where my weight sits and I know it’s unhealthy to have all the fat there.
My smaller clothes fit again so it’s the impetus to keep losing which I’m struggling with a bit.

Sts this week, which is fine. I’m hoping for a whoosh this week or next. I can’t believe it’s week 4 already. I do think this time of year goes very quickly. I’m lucky that I don’t have any Christmas nights out to —suffer— attend. I will have a family meal, probably at my sisters, which will be pizza but loads of salad and bits so that should be fine.

@Rshard I think, if you are happy with how you look and are maintaining at that, then it’s absolutely right for you. You could have a very strict few weeks and manage to lose a couple more pounds but if it’s too difficult to maintain it won’t make you any happier.

Report
Doilooklikeatourist · 05/11/2018 10:02

@Rshard , everyone’s different ,, if you feel the weight you are is where you want to be , I’d be inclined to stay there , and not worry about what a chart tells you
And .. you’d probably weigh different on my scales , as you do on yours , who knows which one is correct ?

Well done losers

I put on 2 pounds over the weekend - was nicely done on Friday but messed it up staying with friends and drinking too much and finding it hard to say no to carby things they had cooked.

The 2 pounds should go fast though and then want another 1 off for real this week

Report
Spiderkitty · 05/11/2018 10:31

I'm still the same this week, although I went up 3lbs last week (not sure why, didn't have anything I shouldn't have had) so lost those 3 lbs steadily over the course of this week to get back to last weeks weight!

Well done every one who has seen losses this week

B: Coffee with cream
L: Buttery sprouts
D: No sure, maybe anglesey eggs made with swede?

Good morning BIWI and everyone. I've had a very disastrous year so far which has resulted in (among other things) poor food choices and weight gain, and not accessing this thread. Today I've decided enough is enough and came looking for bootcamp to find you on week four. I'll slip back in if I may. I started the day with bacon and eggs. I'll go back and read the info to make sure nothing has changed.

No loss for me this week, it's very motivating to see the numbers on the scales go down but I'm not feeling too negative as I do feel slimmer, my trousers are looser and my face is not so puffy looking.

I'm going to reduce my dairy intake this week, I think I probably eat too much cheese and I had two small glasses of white wine on Friday evening which was silly as I did lots of exercise that day but probably didn't see the benefit due to the wine...

Congratulations to everyone who lost actual lbs on their scales..... and to everyone who hasn't - I'm convinced we're still losing fat and we'll get over this hump and see the scales going down again very soon! x

Well done on all the losses!

Thought I'd share my monster mash up breakfast...it's my go to brekkie and so tasty. It's all done in one frying pan and literally takes about 3 mins from start to finish. Very simple, like a cross between an omelette and scrambled eggs.

Melt Olive oil and butter in the pan and throw in:

Handful of sliced mushrooms
Chopped shallot
Any leftover meat from fridge chopped into chunks (tried chorizo, ham, chicken, pork so far)

Then throw a few handfuls of spinach (plus any other leftover veg) in and let it cook down for a minute before stirring in.

Add 3 beaten eggs and just stir them in

Lastly add a handful of grated cheese, stir in and then serve

It fills me up until lunchtime and it's great for using stuff up in the fridge.
