Another pink rose, I forget the name. Puts on a great display.
The red is the one and only thing I’ve bought for the garden this year (Benjamin Britten). Scent is incredible. I have it in a pot by the door.

Thank you for the new thread @AnneKipanki

Thinking of Benjamin Britten for our front garden in the future.

This is my pond yesterday, and the dragonfly had crawled from it and decided that the house corner was the better place to emerge(!)

I was lucky enough to see it take to the wing a little time later.

Smells so bad!

AnneKipanki · 03/07/2021 18:56

Is that one of those that flowers very rarely @Cakeonthefloor?

Cakeonthefloor · 03/07/2021 19:20

It is a dragon lily. I didn't plant it but it is the first time it has flowered in 3 years. It normally gets eaten by the slugs!

AnneKipanki · 03/07/2021 19:27

Looks impressive !

I don't know but it's bloody fantastic! What is it? I've got a name on the tip of my tongue but it won't come out! Does it begin with P?
WobblyLondoner · 03/07/2021 21:59

Sorry - Lady of Shalott, Gertrude Jekyll and not sure.

WobblyLondoner · 03/07/2021 22:02

I've done some reorganising and now have (yet another) shady nook. Am giving hostas another try including these rather sweet dwarf ones ('mouse ears').
