Ooh.
I measured the new flower stalk on my amaryllis on Sunday…27 inches. It has grown since then.

This is a slow moving thread @Sweetpea1532, we should be ok ♥️

Sweetpea1532 · 21/02/2022 22:21

@AnneKipankitoo
27 inches!!! I had no idea that they continued to grow after they bloomed...what a surprise..I'm going to do some interesting research on them.Flowers

Sweetpea1532 · 21/02/2022 22:26

My research seems to suggest that you might just have to cut a giant hole in your ceiling for next years blooms since the stalk is already 27 inches😂

AnneKipankitoo · 22/02/2022 08:23

It’s still growing. 🙀

Sweetpea1532 · 22/02/2022 15:05

Sweetpea1532 · 23/02/2022 02:14

Meanwhile at Sweetpea's house..
My passionfruit vine is putting out fruit like crazy. I have it trellised across my drive so some of the fruit rolls down it and out to the street where is continues on down the hill...it's always fun to spot the passionfruit along the kerb half a block away...but sometimes the fruit drops on the top of my SUV...today I was zooming off to an estate sale and kept hearing a rattling noise coming from the back of my auto...I was preoccupied about getting to the sale in time for the bargains so I just ignored the rattling....about halfway there I heard a loud rolling sound and looked in the rear view mirror just in time to see two little purple ball-like objects flying behind me at 40 miles/ hr and bouncing up and down into the traffic...fingers crossed they didn't hit anyone's auto ShockBlush

The two fruit that I took a photo of were wedged under the roof rack so I guess they couldn't fly off.Blush

AK, I love love love primrose! And look at all that green grass Flowers

AnneKipankitoo · 28/02/2022 15:39

I took it from above @Sweetpea1532. The green grass is box hedges.

Sweetpea1532 · 01/03/2022 03:49

Trick photography @AnneKipankitoo 😂

Lovely green box hedges you've got there, AK.Wink

Sweetpea1532 · 09/03/2022 02:37

@AnneKipankitoo
How's that giant amaryllis doing?

AnneKipankitoo · 09/03/2022 07:33

It has 3 flower heads. Last measurement was 33 and a half inches.

AnneKipankitoo · 09/03/2022 07:34

If it was 33 and a third I would say it was some sort of record 😂
