They really did. The poor dog got that blame at first but then realised when we went to the park the same had happened to flowers at the park too.

I don't know whether to try and lift them back up or not?

I need to mow the grass and the edges of the borders anyway but can't do anything until the grass isn't sopping.

My admiration for your gardening endeavours have just increased 10 fold.! You must be very dedicated to having a nice garden with all the rain and such.

We have midges and horseflies ( clegs).

I'll keep my mosquitoes then..midges and horseflies are terrible..... sure does hurt when they take a chomp out of you

Your area looks like paradise....of course there always has to be one teeny annoyance...midges are no fun!

Yes @Sweetpea1532! That's no exaggeration! All the windowsills were full, the dining room table, even the bedroom was full of seedlings! 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm sharing a Verbena I got recently from the shelf of doom at the garden centre - reduced to just 50 cents but it's absolutely fine now it's settled in place! And my first Cosmos has flowered, it's a dwarf variety so only ca. 25-30cm tall.

Thank you for posting....aren't puggie's so funny...that little face makes it seem as if they have the world's problems on their little shoulders. It makes me remember happy times with my little GracieGirl ❤..people were always trying to cheer her up

I had a big laugh today when my DDIL showed me her string beans she lovingly planted and imagined feeding to her toddler...
For reference, the gnome is about 12cm high..."beans" are less than 2cm long😂
