Carrying on from the old Ocado thread. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/a4045676-Ocado-tips-hacks-Toblerone-and-Christmas?msgid=102560793#102560793

I have been contributing, just changed my name to prevent being outed over something!

Thank you Gary.

Garyunicorn · 12/12/2020 21:25

Thank you for the reminder Dobby! I cancelled my Christmas Eve order today. Managed to pick one up with Waitrose for the 23rd so that will suit me! Still hanging on to my smart pass as I need to look after my Mum, who is elderly and disabled and 30 miles away, in a tier 3 area. Managed to send her a Christmas tree with decorations from bloom & wild. I will plant it in her garden in the new year!

I’m in too!!

Onceuponatimethen · 12/12/2020 21:40

Noticed Kallo stock cubes have gone - they are a staple in our house Shock

BatonRouge · 12/12/2020 21:46

Ha! I was wondering why I had a big tin of shortbread delivered. Genuinely thought I'd ordered it but now I realise it was gratis.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 12/12/2020 21:46

If I had found another supermarket I’d cancel mine. It’s ridiculous how they don’t have any thing in stock.

Ellmau · 12/12/2020 21:51

Oh, I hop I get some!

I have an order tomorrow and can't get another booked at all. I guess I'll be in the shops next weekend.

No! That is bad news indeed. I do hope they are reading these threads.

Does anyone know the average cost of a delivery slot? I’m thinking of doing alternating weeks of Ocado and Waitrose so I want to see if a Smart Pass would be worth hanging on to.

Would like to know too. Am still paying £9.99 per month which I am only doing until lockdowns are really over with. Have switched to Waitrose mostly and very impressed.

Thank you so much Garyunicorn - brilliant effort! Here's your free 🍫 and 🍪 and Thread Starter 🍷.

StanfordPines · 12/12/2020 22:40

I still seem to have Kallo stock cubes.

Egghead68 · 12/12/2020 22:48

Thank you for the new thread @Garyunicorn.

RaggieDolls · 12/12/2020 23:11

@StanfordPines... so do I...? Weird.

Ocado tinned tomatoes have disappeared for me though. Maddening.

I tried to register with Sainsbury's and I just get stuck in a loop with the 'create password' page reappearing. Starting to wonder if they are all as bad as each other.

Fuss · 12/12/2020 23:50

So for any of you who had none working review coupons they now work.... Have now had a £14 voucher and the product. I don't feel an iota of guilt considering the shit service lately.

Garyunicorn · 12/12/2020 23:51

I’m a lazy cah, and always ordered the Waitrose ready chopped onions. They are so handy in those twin packs. The M&S chopped onions are more expensive, and come in one huge bag that always splits.

I think the price varies (as I USED to get the for 99p/£1.99 at early/late times). Now I pay £4.99-£6.99.

M&S is plain daft to ditch the obscure/niche brands.

I'm hoping things calm down in January (DH and I reckon Brexit is going to get kicked down the alley for another few months using some sort of COVID excuse). I wonder what delights Ocado have been stockpiling.

Furball · 13/12/2020 09:37

On the the stock cube front they have also stopped Knorr Pork cubes - I know very 1st world problems, but annoying to have to get them from elsewhere.

M & S baklava - I paid £3 or £4 for a teeny 8 piece box

When I was in Waitrose they had much bigger boxes reduced to £2.50 so I bought some of those too. and can't believe the price of the M & S ones in comparison.

Like I said on the previous thread- Waitrose supplied Ocado with all their shop, not just own brand like M & S, so to loose Waitrose Ocado have lost alot of standard shopping brands along with that too.

Furball · 13/12/2020 09:37

sorry meant lose

viccat · 13/12/2020 09:38

Thanks for the new thread!

Editing time has been brought forward more again, just had an email to say my Wednesday evening order now needs to be finalised today.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/12/2020 10:17

back to queuing for a while to get on to the site.

PoulePouletteEternellement · 13/12/2020 10:22

That's the Boris-bounce, BadKitten.

Like I said on the previous thread - Waitrose supplied Ocado with all their shop, not just own brand like M & S, so to lose Waitrose Ocado have lost a lot of standard shopping brands along with that too.

But I thought they specifically said they would still stock lots of other brands?

It is really unsatisfactory all round.

That is pathetic. They need to sort themselves out. Waitrose once had a cut off 24 hours before delivery, now I can change up to the night before,

I just went to add something and got kicked out of the app, onto the website and in a queue.

lexloofah · 13/12/2020 10:47

I am guessing everyone is furiously adding long life stuff to their orders after reading Sunday papers
