So the people showing up as infected now are from before any social distancing measures were introduced?

The rate of increase in positive tests has reduced again too.

@Sosounhappy
Very likely... My brother is suspected according to my dr sister, and had it before the lockdown, thanks to an idiot who showed up to work coughing all over everyone... disgusting

Im missing the worldometer link in the OP for this thread. Any chance you could ask MHHQ to edit your OP to add it (Not the title, the text)? I used your OP link for quick access.

Anyhoo, here's out +16 day comparison to Italy with today's figures added.

I think it's good that the deaths and cases are slightly lower but I don't think it necessarily means anything much at this stage. It's only one day and very early on.

Before anyone gets excited about the apparent drop in daily deaths, have a look at 14th/15th March data for Italy

I’ve also noticed there seems to be less of an increase in new cases and deaths in Sunday’s figures compared to other days of the week

Copied as I was still on other thread alone Grin

Looking at worldometer and number of cases vs critical the percentages vary massively.

This may be to do with the fact our testing is still quite low with regards our active cases but it would improve our figures dramatically.

It would seem (if I've done the math right )
Italy 5.5% active cases are critical
Spain 7.5%
Uk 1.1%

Of course it alls to do with many factors such as how we are behind and how those active cases progress etc. But it's certainly a statistic worth keeping an eye on imo.

Especially as we know it's the critical and serious column that are likely to indicate morality rates.

I posted this at the end of last thread so am reposting since it may get lost.

Have been lurking on this thread and would like to thank you for the analysis, and explanations. It helps me to try monitor the figures and this thread has helped me a lot. My analaytical skills are not good so thank you.

I have a few questions if someone could help. Why are they saying that Spains no.s are the highest today? I see them as lower on the worldometer? Around 550 deaths? Why are they saying 800 plus in the guardian and other papers? Have i been misreading?

Also Finding a breakdown of Wales' figures is eluding me. I can see totals but no longer for individual health boards. I am looking for aneurin bevan and cant seem to find on the phwales site. Am i looking in the wrong place?

I monitor spain and wales closely have close family in both areas. Am in france so am able to find those.

Thanks for the thread, Barracker.

The tests are still down under 7,000 - that day we had the biggest increase 9,000 were tested.

But always good to see the figures slightly less, and hope...

@Sosounhappy I believe so. My brother too, was told by his GP he had it and to self isolate. He lives in London and this was two weeks ago. Two weeks from when he was told to self isolate, he must have had it for a few days before for any symptoms to show too. So I think infection numbers we see won't reflect the lockdown measures. Not for a few weeks at the very least.
