Anyone else excited for this? Ready to get going in the new year?

I got all excited when it was announced but just can't get the site to load. Had anyone else managed to get into it?

It has happened I think once before but certainly not usual - thanks for the heads up

Oh so young @SunUpSunDown

Sooverthemill · 05/01/2024 10:49

I also was waiting for the right hand side! In dread to be honest. She occasionally misses a side but it’s not often

Yogachick · 05/01/2024 11:00

Sorry to hear about your Dad @SunUpSunDown 💐
Day 4 was a treat despite the one sided warrior sequence. Loves the kundalini hands to shoulder twisty thing, so energising !

HappyNewYears · 05/01/2024 12:12

Only 20 minutes today which I’d probably why she went straight into it without the normal calm breathing at the start. I actually got a bit out of breath at one point as she was going so quick. She still seems to be doing the same moves with one or two new ones each day. It seems odd as I’m sure on previous years each day was fairly different.

LilacpointMummy · 05/01/2024 13:58

I rewound to the beginning to check if I had missed doing the right side!

So not like Adriene to leave us unbalanced. I repeated that bit on the right side myself so I was level.

SunUpSunDown · 05/01/2024 14:29

Thanks so much for the lovely messages. That's what I love about this little community here - it's a safe space 💚

Good job with being a bit very behind is that I get the useful tips and heads up like the one about D4. I get totally muddled with my lefts and my rights anyway, so that would have really confused me...!

ConflictedCheetah · 05/01/2024 15:34

@SunUpSunDown I'm so sorry for your loss. Be good to yourself and we'll done for carving out a little time to yourself to start this. If you miss days here and there and it's all good. You can only do what you can do right now

Sorry for your loss @SunUpSunDown and well done for getting on the mat.

I did day 3 this morning, my hips are already starting to feel a tiny bit less tight than they were. Feels good to move my body.

froginawell · 05/01/2024 18:05

Day 4 done, glad I'd read here about the unbalanced bit as it would have thrown me otherwise!

functioningadult · 05/01/2024 18:27

Day 4 done. I'm so tired that I was grateful for the missing side, though glad I'd had the warning here first.

Sorry for your loss @SunUpSunDown. It's shitty losing a parent at any time but particularly cruel at this time of year. Be kind to yourself

narniabusiness · 05/01/2024 18:37

@Seagrassbasket I will heed your warning.
@SunUpSunDown Sorry to hear about your bereavement. That sounds really tough. I hope the yoga helps a little.
I read all your comments about Adriene not repeating the same moves on the other side, but by the time I got to that bit I was too exhausted to stop the video and repeat. Good session though as I’d been sitting most of the day.

AceofPentacles · 05/01/2024 19:11

Day 4 done, I missed day three as I was just knackered after work last night. I've decided if I miss any I'll just keep going and do the ones I miss at the end otherwise it's a bit disheartening if you lose track.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 05/01/2024 19:54

Just did day 4. Despite knowing about the missing side I elected not to do it 😂 Enjoyed the stretch, my hamstrings are ridiculously tight today from yesterday and this morning at the gym. I quite like the repetition so far, and I'm sure she'll mix things up as we go along. I think the theme Flow means we can expect a lot of sun salutations, though.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 05/01/2024 20:22

Day 4 done here. I went swimming earlier so enjoyed loosening up my shoulders.

@SunUpSunDown so sorry for your loss. Well done for getting on the mat and hope it is of some comfort to you.

Moofart · 05/01/2024 21:18

I am so sorry for your loss. Keep making it to the mat when you can. It must be such a difficult time x x x
I haven't done today's as I've only just got my toddler to sleep and haven't had tea yet. I will try and do 4 and 5 tomorrow to catch up.

Weepingwillows12 · 06/01/2024 09:01

So sorry for your loss. I hope yoga gives you some peace in the coming difficult months.

aSwarmOfMidgies · 06/01/2024 10:14

Different today with no planks and push ups Smile

afaloren · 06/01/2024 10:48

Loved today. No planks but with happy baby which I absolutely love!

Jumbojem · 06/01/2024 11:05

Day 5 - bit different, liked it. Yes, no planks, no down dog even.
But, ouch, my shoulders were sore and stiff, those thread the needles hurt more than they probably should. I like the fire hydrant ones though.

mynameiscalypso · 06/01/2024 11:06

Nice to have a bit of a change today - my shoulders and triceps are a bit sore from the last few days and the planks. I think my bum is going to be feeling those hip circles tomorrow though! Also very pleased to have a happy baby in there as it's one of my favourite stretches.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 06/01/2024 11:50

I enjoyed today too, I did it when I got home from parkrun and it was good to stretch. Shoulders are stiff from swimming yesterday so thread the needle was much needed too.

froginawell · 06/01/2024 12:10

I really enjoyed today too, yesterday I was at my limit, so needed a more relaxed one I think!

Love threading the needle!

Weepingwillows12 · 06/01/2024 12:15

Glad it was a slow stretchy one as bit tired today.

Yogachick · 06/01/2024 12:24

I didn’t get much sleep last night so Day 5 was perfect. I like the breathing practices as well. The guidance for getting in and out of the poses is hugely improved, I’m getting so much more from the practices with that help

artforartssakemoneyforgodssake · 06/01/2024 12:32

Nice start to the weekend from day 5.
