Hello everyone. This is the April thread for those of us attempting a daily Adrienne practice. All welcome. Center, Move, true, even Kassandra we love them all!

@ScottishBeth Yes, abs definitely still sore!

Weepingwillows12 · 08/04/2023 09:32

Day 5 home done. Not being great at sticking to daily at the moment so going to try for the next week to be on it.

Yogachick · 08/04/2023 17:02

Nourish Day 6 this morning. Thoroughly enjoyed and was careful with my neck. No issues when practicing but when I got to work it was awful again. I don’t know why🤔

Buttalapasta · 08/04/2023 19:25

Yesterday I complained that Day 7 of Home wasn't active enough and today's was basically lying down. 😂But it was actually exactly what I needed. Very stressful day indeed. Dh collapsed and was taken off in an ambulance and I had no idea where to go (we're on holiday) and ds then fainted from shock I think. Can't believe we are actually now all relatively ok! Thank you Adriene.

notanicepersonapparently · 08/04/2023 20:11

Oh shit @Buttalapasta thats a lot to have to cope with. I’m relieved to hear everyone is OK.
Day 4 of OG for me. Lots of planks.

ScottishBeth · 08/04/2023 20:42

@Buttalapasta oh my god how scary! Glad you are ok.

I am about to do that same practice and lying down sounds perfect for me too! Had a busy day in the sun, gardening and then with the in laws. Should be a nice one before bed.

Sooverthemill · 09/04/2023 09:24

So I’m failing miserably. I have made vow to get back on the mat on Tuesday. Help me!

Sooverthemill · 09/04/2023 09:25

@Buttalapasta are you okay? I hope he is now. That’s scary

Thanks everyone. I thought he was having a stroke as he lost consciousness and when he came round he couldn't speak. Tests all came back negative though and today he's fine. Really strange. We're still on holiday but taking it very easy!

Weepingwillows12 · 09/04/2023 10:33

@Buttalapasta hope he's ok. That's very scary.

I started day 6 home today but have up after 15 mins as wasn't feeling it. I didn't sleep well and want a lazy day but actually have a busy one plus knew it was core day so didn't want to be there from the start. I think what I might try and do is a more self care one tonight and do that listen to your body stuff. Unfortunately my body has no interest in core ever haha.

ScottishBeth · 09/04/2023 18:06

@Sooverthemill will it help to consider now what kind of practice you want to do on Tuesday?

@Buttalapasta taking it easy sounds good. Hope your husband (and you and the whole family) all feel OK.

@Weepingwillows12 at least you tried! A self care practice sounds good.

I did Home day 9 today - another really nice one. She had a different way of getting into the lunge twist thing, which was nice. Overall a mix of stretchy and strengthening.

Buttalapasta · 09/04/2023 18:14

@ScottishBeth Better today thanks. I liked today's too although I'm rather missing my usual thick mat on our lounge rug which is nicely squishy. I have a travel mat which is light but thin and the floor feels very hard! What do you all use when travelling?

Yogachick · 09/04/2023 19:26

Finished Nourish today. Different vibe as I did midday,I’m so chuffed I’ve completed a series !👏👏👏👏

Loveandhappiness · 09/04/2023 21:21

I’ve been slacking badly! Just been so busy with kids over the Easter break and am about to go away for a few days. Have been doing daily walks but will make a concerted effort to practice more yoga on my return. Think daughter wants to join me so that will be nice.

Sooverthemill · 10/04/2023 07:36

@ScottishBeth I think I may start with the kassandra 10 minute morning series and if that goes well, work my way up to Center

Buttalapasta · 10/04/2023 07:47

Well done @Yogachick !

Ladyofthelake53 · 10/04/2023 08:01

I do yoga every day, have done Adriene 30 days of Yoga, Center, and now halfway through Breath. Ive noticed a difference definitely. More flexible less back pain and more toned especially arms and upper body. I look forward to doing it everyday, its like a reset button

HouseByTheSeaside · 10/04/2023 08:53

Ooo can I join you?

wildswimm · 10/04/2023 08:55

What time if day is best for starting out with yoga?

Is 10 minutes a day enough to make any difference?

notanicepersonapparently · 10/04/2023 09:42

Hi @HouseByTheSeaside and welcome to the thread. Please do join us.
@wildswimm I think whatever fits in with your daily routine is fine. I suspect I’m unusual in doing mine at 5pm but that’s just what fits in with my day.

Weepingwillows12 · 10/04/2023 09:57

@wildswimm I fit mine in when I can. On work days it tends to be between 6 and 7 when the kids are eating tea. At weekends I prefer a morning practice. I find if I am too prescriptive then I give myself an excuse not to do it (missed the slot now oh well etc).

I did home day 7 today which was a nice relaxed one.

midgemadgemodge · 10/04/2023 13:23

Adrienne centre series tends to be 15 to 20 mins and that is definitely enough to make a big difference

Buttalapasta · 10/04/2023 13:51

Welcome! I agree about choosing a time to suit you. I usually try to do it first thing as I know I'll not want to do it later. I started off just doing 5 minutes a day until I started a 30 day challenge.

BestIsWest · 10/04/2023 18:10

Just posting to mark my place. I’ve got a horrible cough/cold virus - this is the third week - so I’ve been unable to do any yoga at all as I just ache all over. Determined to get back to it all soon though.

midgemadgemodge · 10/04/2023 18:31

Oh best I hope you feel well enough to feet back on the mat soon - take care till then
