Yay! It's day 0 and the video is up ( at 6.03 for me). Let's do this! What a lovely gentle way to start. See you all tomorrow when we actually do a little bit of yoga.

I hadn't done yoga for years due to injury/work/blah de blah and restarted once a week here in France 3 months ago. I only missed one lesson and that was when I woke up ill and was back in bed by 3 last week. So I'm doing this every day to try and speed up my weekly class progress.

Day 1 done.

hoochyhag · 02/01/2023 09:32

Wow, did it ☺️
But will I be able to keep it up each day?

hoochyhag · 02/01/2023 09:33

Thanks for the encouragement @Sooverthemill

Chimna · 02/01/2023 09:44

I'm in! I feel my practice has really stepped up the last year and I'm feeling the benefits. I was swaying between this and the Boho Beautiful 31 days of yoga series but wanted to stick to tradition. I haven't done day 1 yet.

Ietthemeatcake · 02/01/2023 10:40

Yes! I'm in. I have done each January series since True, with the exception of last year. I started it but had picked up COVID on NYE so fell way behind and I don't think I ever completed it.

With the exception of a couple of in person classes I've done very little yoga this year so I hope I can restart the habit. In previous years I've kept going for a few months.

Not got off to a brilliant start though, having failed to confirm my email so missed yesterday's email and forgot to go find the video. Just putting my kit on now and will go and do day 0/1
Namaste all.

Day one ✅
done each year but increasingly find her chatter a little rambling for my taste.. find kassandra and Jessica more to the point but will complete the 30 days!

Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton · 02/01/2023 10:51

Day 1 done. Ooof. I felt it!

I did Kassandra videos mist of this year. I think I outgrew Adriene a bit and found all the chatter too slow. But for the Jan reset I really enjoy going back to her. I always feel like it takes me back to basics - good alignment, fundamental poses and breathwork.

namechange5575 · 02/01/2023 11:16

Done my day 1. It was either easier than last year, or I'm a lot stronger as I remember being a mess after days 1 and 2 last year! And I don't feel like that now. Glad to have got started.

JuniperStJames · 02/01/2023 11:31

Day 1 done. I felt very restless during the first crossed leg sit down. Also I have stiffened up so much since getting out of the habit mid way through last year. Hoping doing the normal January journey will last longer next year

Takeittotheboss · 02/01/2023 11:46

Haven't received either day 0 or day 1 email, though I have the calendar one. What should I do to start the programme?
Sorry, complete Adriana beginneer here.

midgetastic · 02/01/2023 11:48

Just run the video on YouTube

Just finished day 1 - LOVED the ‘circling the upper body whilst cradling your neck’ move. No idea of the technical term, obviously.

Me too. It felt soooooooo gooooooood.......!

2fallsfromSSA · 02/01/2023 11:59

How long is day 1? I haven't had any emails so will go and hunt for ut on YouTube.

It's 26 mins. All sprays ar around the 25-30 min mark, so not too long

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/01/2023 12:03

Day are, that should be 😂

2fallsfromSSA · 02/01/2023 12:15

Oh that's perfect thank you I'm going to try and do them on the actual days this year.

ICanDoIt23 · 02/01/2023 12:15

Day 1 done and loved it! I have been doing other exercise so a little disappointed that even holding down dog was a little tiring compared to how it used to be, but glad to be back on the mat 😊

newmumtotwo24 · 02/01/2023 12:51

I did it!!! Really didn't expect to fit it in, especially as it was half an hour but 3mo slept and I actually turned it on rather than just sitting. Had no expectations as never done yoga before but enjoyed myself, hoping to keep it up 🙌🏼

ScottishBeth · 02/01/2023 14:33

@Buttalapasta I have been doing yoga on and off for more than 10 years, and sometimes I still find downward dog hard on my shoulders. In the beginning I hated it. I often used to drop down to my knees for a rest. And sometimes I still do now.

Jumbojem · 02/01/2023 14:39

Day one done.
Felt quite tough, very aware how weak my shoulders and arms are.
I too loved the standing up rotating kind of move, felt like just what I needed after too long spent sat slumped down.
Not going to lie, I fast forwarded a bit during the intro as I didn't have 34 mins spare and wanted to get it done before breakfast.
Looking at the calendar today's is the longest session and some are under 20 mins, most in the 20-25 min mark so it's good to know it's a 30 min or less commitment for when we're all back usual routines.

froginawell · 02/01/2023 15:31

Day 1 completed! I also found it quite hard, my body is noticing the no real yoga since lockdown...

Great to be getting back to it.

I'm committed to getting stronger and happier...

Me too! It felt really good on my upper back

Gwdihooooo · 02/01/2023 15:33

The toughest part for me was keeping my palms on Matt without my wrists and fingers hurting

midgetastic · 02/01/2023 16:12

I took breaks to relax my wrists - it's what she expects anyway

Also push finger tips down hard helps relieve wrist pressure
