Yay! It's day 0 and the video is up ( at 6.03 for me). Let's do this! What a lovely gentle way to start. See you all tomorrow when we actually do a little bit of yoga.

Done day 18 this evening, another really interesting one! This series is less energetic than last year but it seems to have so much in it - quite a few of these short sessions have really made me think about things differently and today's was another one! I think I'll definitely repeat it a couple of times during the year as I'm sure there's a lot left to unpack.

happytobemrsg · 19/01/2023 22:25

Took a while to get going for me today but I enjoyed it! When I was doing the goddess pose I felt very yogi like 😂 I quite enjoyed the gazing. I usually have my eyes closed so I was unsure but I enjoyed the heavy eyes. Very relaxing.

Prestissimo · 19/01/2023 22:51

Days 17 and 18 done as a double today. Enjoyed them both but my legs really felt the goddess pose! Agree there seems lots of conceptual stuff in this series. Maybe Adriene has been feeling contemplative this year with her mother being ill, and that's translated to a different type of practice.

Coraline353 · 20/01/2023 07:29

Day 19 done. No crow pose 😁

Pet peeve though - and one to watch for others doing later - she does a sequence on one side and doesn't fully do the same on the other side! We go to standing splits on one side but not the other. I had to pause the video and complete it, then carry on.

LizziesTwin · 20/01/2023 07:48

I’ve just done today’s too - I don’t know if she’s trying to keep them under 20 mins and struggling to keep them short.

I usually do 20 mins of Pilates each day and have swapped them for YWA & am missing the harder physical effort. I’ve done the everyday in January for quite a few years and am not loving it this year.

Prestissimo · 20/01/2023 08:14

I am enjoying this years but feel the focus is different. It's definitely not a physical challenge as much, like Move was (is!) but as I say I think she's just shifted the focus a bit. I keep thinking I might enjoy a double 30d where I do the Move session and then the Center one for the day straight afterwards (although often would not have time for such luxuries!).

midgetastic · 20/01/2023 08:17

I like the fact that the series are different

In every series there has been at least one occasion where something has been one sided- thanks for the heads up in this one !

Sooverthemill · 20/01/2023 08:22

I agree this is not an active one and have just realised she didn’t plug it as ‘you’ll tone’ which I think she usually does with 30 days. But I’m enjoying it for sure, the mindful movements are challenging. @Coraline353 inagree she doesn’t do the same on both sides and that confused me today. But I am enjoying it very much possibly because I still feel lost covid it’s doing me good to be slow

Glad someone mentioned about it not being the same on both sides. It confused me when it happened and I wondered if I'd heard and done it wrong the first round but apparently not. Finally got a bit warm again during today which was nice but still was fairly chilled. Looking forward to joining everyone post January with whatever series

hoochyhag · 20/01/2023 09:58

Day 19
I didn't even notice it wasn't the same on both sides 🙃

Nice session though. I think it suits a lot of us recovering from covid etc

I haven't anything to compare it to except intermittent sessions but would be happy to do something more challenging.

melonraspberry · 20/01/2023 10:04

I’ve changed my mind she can’t be pregnant, too many nausea inducing moves in this 30 days!

melonraspberry · 20/01/2023 10:07

I’m going to finish the 30 days but then do another year of Move. I don’t mind though, it’s good that she shows different ways to do yoga, different styles suit different people and yoga is so beneficial.

Jumbojem · 20/01/2023 10:29

@Coraline353 glad it wasn't just me! I was doubting myself whether we had done splits twice or not.
Glad it wasn't crow pose as I'm no where near being even able to attempt that one, no arm strength. But I can manage a reasonable wobbly standing split. Couldn't take my arms off the floor like Adrienne though.
This year's is definitely more mindful than it is a workout. It is enjoyable but I do like to feel I've had a good stretch or physical challenge when I'm done, more than a mental challenge.

BigHeartyTruffle · 20/01/2023 10:35

I agree this one has been fairly chilled and not so much a physical workout. However for me it’s been the perfect re introduction to yoga after a long break - both physically, and because the sessions are short enough to get me in the mat every day and help build up my routine.

I am definitely going to do move next and would love a support thread with anyone else who is planning to!

euromum · 20/01/2023 11:43

@Prestissimo I've been thinking about doubling up Move and Center too - just wish it wasn't so inevitable that time will be a problem! Not ruling out trying though

Sooverthemill · 20/01/2023 12:45

I think crow will be 27 or 28

OP posts:
Ladyofthelake53 · 20/01/2023 12:55

Id be interested in doing Move too x

happytobemrsg · 20/01/2023 15:36

Does anyone have the Move calendar so I’d know what I’d be getting myself into time-wise?

BestIsWest · 20/01/2023 16:27

All the calendars are here do.yogawithadriene.com/calendar

BestIsWest · 20/01/2023 17:34

18 and 19 done so up to date. 19 was a bit more like it. I think I’m after strength and balance rather than flexibility or mindfulness so I think next month I’ll do Move again and maybe do some pilates on the days I don’t like or will never be able to do (crow).

VerbenaView · 20/01/2023 17:50

Still completing each day, and being new to yoga, and completely unfit, Centre is working well for me. I feel mentally different, and I haven't let work things get to me as much as I usually would, magic is happening and I am delighted.

notanicepersonapparently · 20/01/2023 18:08

I did two days worth back to back yesterday to catch up (actually with a short break in between to put dinner in the oven). I enjoyed it so I did todays and yesterdays back to back today. I regretted it when I got to having to hold all the goddess poses!
I too am missing the more active parts of Move (because I am naturally lazy and don’t do any other exercise).

CeeCeeDeeBee · 20/01/2023 18:47

I did day 19 this morning, and was in a bit of a rush because I needed to leave to catch a flight. Felt better for doing it, though. Likely won't be able to do the next couple of days, so will be playing catch up next week.

Weepingwillows12 · 20/01/2023 18:50

Day 19 done. I am really liking Centre. It's my busy time of year at work and I found myself skipping more sessions when I saw 35, 40 mins last year but 20 always feels achievable. I found Move a bit too much for me in some sessions last year although I did it. I think Centre is giving me confidence again and then after I complete it I might do another then Move in March.

Chimna · 20/01/2023 20:25

Day 19 done. Wasn't in the best of moods but that really gave me a lift. I must say I am feeling much calmer this month.
