Yay! It's day 0 and the video is up ( at 6.03 for me). Let's do this! What a lovely gentle way to start. See you all tomorrow when we actually do a little bit of yoga.

Eagle arms are a challenge for me!

Day 17 completed

Coraline353 · 18/01/2023 19:31

I really enjoyed the focus on back and shoulders today. It is all quite slow this year though. A lot of stretching and less strength or flow I feel.

AceofPentacles · 18/01/2023 19:56

Really wasn't in the mood today, and didn't really get into it . Day 17 done though

CeeCeeDeeBee · 18/01/2023 21:22

I enjoyed day 16 yesterday, but day 17 today was not my jam. I hate eagle arms because my shoulders are so tight, and I found the circles really challenging.

happytobemrsg · 18/01/2023 22:28

When I was reading on here about “eagle arms” I was imagining some sort of big wing movements 😂 was able to twist wrists around so palms could be against each other so I was pleased with that. Did NOT look at all graceful moving them in a circle and I fell over more than once trying to do it in the lunge 🤦🏻‍♀️ shoulders feel lovely and loose now. Feeling in a good mood too

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 18/01/2023 22:45

Day 17 done. I loved the arm and shoulder work today. I think I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders without realising and feel so much free-er now. One to come back to for me.

Shinyandnew2022 · 18/01/2023 22:49

Day 17 done here too - not a favourite.
Found all the arms work a bit repetitive .
I have a cold and was tired and grumpy though so it's probably me!

VerbenaView · 18/01/2023 23:29

Day 17, eagle arms were impossible for me, I feel like I'm saying this a lot 😆But, I am showing up and still loving it. I knew my body was not in a good way and I'm feeling so many benefits with taking part each day. The short sessions are perfect for me, at this time of year.

Buttalapasta · 19/01/2023 06:31

I liked day 17 as I found it surprisingly challenging and really had to concentrate on not wobbling.

Sooverthemill · 19/01/2023 08:36

Day 18 was surprisingly hard as I’ve realised i nearly always do yoga with my eyes closed! Also I had an absolutely agonising pain in my left shoulder/ neck at the start so I didn’t do the alternate arms legs thing. But I like the focus she’s placing on mindfulness

@happytobemrsg and others Adrienne has a number of shoulder practices which I often use as I have had frozen shoulder in the past

Today was tough on the legs! I did some strength training the other day and my legs are feeling it, so all that goddess pose/squat legs today was tough!

Jumbojem · 19/01/2023 09:13

Not posted in a while so just checking in to say I've been doing this every day, even whilst away with work for two days this week.
I'm also finding these sessions a bit shorter than I'm used to. Interesting on the pregnancy speculation as whilst doing Day 18 this a.m I was thinking "I'll bet Adrienne would make a wonderful mother".
I have been thinking about doing Move when this one's finished. I enjoyed Move, but it is Def more of a workout from what I recall. Centre feels like the focus has been more on thinking about how you move rather than just doing the moves. If love to try some of the older series but they were around 45 mins a day (Move is around 30 mins/day). Maybe in the summer when the mornings are lighter and I can force myself up earlier?!
Day 17 - not a fan of eagle arms but a good stretch for my laptop arms.
Day 18 - loved the challenge of being in a wide leg squat and trying to lift my heels. Not easy!

hoochyhag · 19/01/2023 10:39

Day 18

Really interesting about the soft gaze.

Loved the eagle arms and goddess pose. Ooof for the thighs 😯

My knees were making an awful sound, but the physio said it was really good to develop these leg muscles around my old lady knees ☺️

hoochyhag · 19/01/2023 10:41

Awesome @Jumbojem for doing these while away for work.

melonraspberry · 19/01/2023 10:45

Not a fan of today’s. I fast forwarded through the first bit and my legs were in agony for the goddess pose ! Don’t think I’ll be repeating this one.

BestIsWest · 19/01/2023 16:04

I’ve had frozen shoulder too, both sides though at different times, horrible thing, still recovering from the last one, so eagle arms just wasn’t possible - so I crossed my arms with hands on shoulders as she suggested.

froginawell · 19/01/2023 16:52

Legs are hurting pleasantly after the goddess pose!

I experimented with having the dog in the room (jealous of Benji) but a large lab sniffing you when you are trying to practice gaze is not actually very helpful...

Weepingwillows12 · 19/01/2023 17:02

Did day 17 and 18 today. First time I haven't really wanted to do it this year as bit tired but pleased I showed up anyway. I found the gaze one hard as I usually close my eyes and my mind was fidgety. Was a good thing to practice though so might try again another time.

Gufo · 19/01/2023 19:10

Day 18 - I enjoyed Goddess, but also struggled with keeping my mind still and my eyes open! Definite monkey brain time!

I also have shoulder problems so liked the variation on eagle yesterday where you have your hands on opposite shoulder instead. My shoulder felt a lot looser today so have made a note of day 17 being one to return to.

AceofPentacles · 19/01/2023 19:38

Oof. It's definitely getting harder to convince myself to get on the mat every day, especially if I leave it until the evening. Day 18 done .

CeeCeeDeeBee · 19/01/2023 19:56

Day 18 done. Like a PP, I didn't realise how much I naturally have my eyes closed in yoga, so keeping a soft gaze was really tough!

Love a goddess pose, though, could feel my legs working hard.

Coraline353 · 19/01/2023 20:12

Day 19 is Play. Anyone feel crow pose coming on? Playing with arm balances?

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 19/01/2023 20:14

Day 18 done. I’d been for a run and caught up on the thread before going to YouTube so was a bit scared at the prospect of goddess pose, my thighs were like jelly by the end.

Shinyandnew2022 · 19/01/2023 21:27

Evening all - Enjoyed day 18 it flew by. Have been suffering with a cold that seems to be sapping all my energy but actually found todays session gave me a bit of an energy boost!
Not sure I did a brilliant job of following all the soft gaze instructions but I got the gist.

Shinyandnew2022 · 19/01/2023 21:28

Ooh and does anyone know if there will be a pop up shop again ? Might treat myself to more 'merch!'
