Yay! It's day 0 and the video is up ( at 6.03 for me). Let's do this! What a lovely gentle way to start. See you all tomorrow when we actually do a little bit of yoga.

@Sooverthemill at the end of January do you pick a previous 30 day programme and then continue the thread following that one?

Rummikub · 15/01/2023 23:44

Last year we carried on with Move. It was really interesting to see and feel how the changes stacked up over the months.

Ulysses · 16/01/2023 04:46

Somethings gone wrong with my stretching and it feels like I’ve pulled a muscle on the right side of my stomach. It’s really sore and making certain movements really awkward so I can’t see me keeping up the practices.

Ive had that nice achey feeling you get when you haven’t exercised certain muscles for a while but this is a step too far! Even sitting down is an issue. Hopefully it will sort itself out soon and I will get back on the mat.

InvisibleDragon · 16/01/2023 06:49

Day 14 done this morning, will try to squeeze day 15 in tonight.

Last year I did Move on repeat for about 4 months, but I've never done it when not pregnant. Feels strange to think about doing it again because it was such a constant of my pregnancy - even if by the end I was mostly in extended child's pose. Might be good to try it again to reconnect with the ideas I had about being a mum before the reality hit!

Gufo · 16/01/2023 07:18

Halfway!

I did Day 13 and 14 yesterday as work was manic on Saturday.

Day 13 is my favourite so far, but I just couldn't settle in to Day 14, partly as the DC kept asking questions. 20 minutes works better when they around!

I have a real life yoga class this afternoon - will be interesting to see if I feel any improvements there as I haven't been since before Christmas.

newmumtotwo24 · 16/01/2023 08:12

Just done day 14, very much enjoyed all the stretching. Hoping after a feed little one will settle long enough for me to do day 15. I agree with other posters they seem to fly by and quite short but actually that is a huge bonus for me with the kids as I can never guarantee how much time I'll have to get it in. The shortness pretty much ensures I get it done.

Day 15
Lovely
Can't get my foot right up so I just rest it on my calf.
Love her shorts.
In awe of those with long shifts @SunUpSunDown
Interesting that it makes us feel better to do it even when we're tired.
So good.

Sooverthemill · 16/01/2023 08:49

Day 15 was lovely. Made slightly trickier by small cat joining in. I love warrior 2 and even managed tree ( foot on calf). Yay

@Sooverthemill at the end of January do you pick a previous 30 day programme and then continue the thread following that one?

Last year we all carried on with MOVE. So each month we redid the 30 day programme. I kept it up until end of September when I got covid and then just did shirt 10 minutes ones.

OP posts:
happytobemrsg · 16/01/2023 09:36

Ah so we would just keep doing Centre over and over each month? @Sooverthemill

Sooverthemill · 16/01/2023 09:39

@happytobemrsg I'm up for that! I find incremental improvements each time I do a 30 day challenge and the motivation from threads like this really help

happytobemrsg · 16/01/2023 10:01

I must admit, that does clear up something for me @Sooverthemill . In the rare occasions I went to the gym, I slowly got better as I was practicing the same moves. I was wondering how I’d get the same from this yoga practice since the session was done once then you moved on to the next!

Chimna · 16/01/2023 12:19

Enjoyed day 15. May do again tonight though as toddler was distracting then DH rang.

EmmaStone · 16/01/2023 12:24

I enjoyed Day 15, but it felt too short - I liked getting into the flow. However, I did it before work, and if it were any longer, I'd have been late for work, so...

AlisonDonut · 16/01/2023 12:32

Day 15 done.

Sooverthemill · 16/01/2023 13:05

@happytobemrsg what you will find is a lot of the moves are repeated so you may find that for example downward dog becomes a breeze

Day 15 done - I'm learning I really like balances more than I thought I did!

newmumtotwo24 · 16/01/2023 18:12

Day 15 done also so caught up. There seem to be a lot of 'relaxing' ones in a row. Hoping it will ramp up a bit again soon. I've enjoyed stretching but want to feel more of a workout soon

Weepingwillows12 · 16/01/2023 18:49

Day 15 done. It was just what I needed today but am also ready for a more challenging one. I am planning ahead this week and will probably miss Wednesday's as away with work so hoping Wednesday is a flow but Thursdays is easier rather than 2 challenging ones together so i can do them both Thursday.

Coraline353 · 16/01/2023 19:15

Been busy so haven't checked in but did day 15 this morning so still on track!

froginawell · 16/01/2023 20:03

Completed!

Yes, am ready for more ab pain too!

daisychain01 · 16/01/2023 20:51

I did Day 14 yesterday ......

then felt so exhausted afterwards, I went straight to 😴 💤 and didn't post!

I like pigeon but you do need to have very open hips for it to be a nice

Day 15 was lovely, just what I needed.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 16/01/2023 20:56

I always have to manually reposition my stomach to do pigeon!

ScottishBeth · 16/01/2023 20:58

I was a bit alarmed when I saw what she was wearing for Day 15 - I thought it was sure to be a hard one practice. I enjoyed it though. I thought she went in to tree quite quickly. Usually she spend ages setting it up. Maybe because we did balancing just a couple of days ago? Anyway it was good today.

@Sooverthemill that is very true about downward dog. Only I find that after a short period of time off it is horrible again! It comes back though.

Shinyandnew2022 · 16/01/2023 21:28
