Yay! It's day 0 and the video is up ( at 6.03 for me). Let's do this! What a lovely gentle way to start. See you all tomorrow when we actually do a little bit of yoga.

I did a gym workout on Saturday morning which involved weighted lunge walks and single leg deadlifts. My legs did not enjoy day 13 on Saturday evening!

I also think the wrist turning exercise should come with a bit more of a warning to take it gently - I now know to make tiny movements but it's so easy to push too far and potentially do damage.

AlisonDonut · 15/01/2023 09:16

Day 14 done, apart from the pigeon pose - no chance of that yet with my hips I'm afraid.

Sooverthemill · 15/01/2023 09:34

@OopNorfDahnSarf sorry you have covid. It wiped me out for 3 months last year hope your doesn’t!
@AlisonDonut tey doing it lying on your back. That’s advice from my osteopath

loved day 14 utterly blissful stretch for me. So many good poses after a dreadful night

Day 14 done. Loved the pigeon pose, but got confused by the earlier stretches.

Honestly, this is the highlight of my day, doing the yoga and reading these posts. Much love to those feeling under the weather Flowers

Agree that it's good to be flexible, and to go at your own pace.

I started off doing a f2f yoga class in my village, the times are rubbish for me though. But there was a bit of knocking on heavens door and warrior poses. But no plank to lunge Grin May go back when the nights are lighter.

Back on track and just done Day 14 after a lovely walk with friends. That one was excellent for my VERY tight hips. Nice long hot shower now 😄

Rummikub · 15/01/2023 14:50

Skipped day 11,12 and 13 and jumped to day 14 stretch as I’ve been feeling stuff. I found pigeon quite painful because of the starting position. I adjusted it for other side. Not a chance could I grab my feet though! I’m at least 2 inches away.

The length of Center is great. Manageable and not overwhelming.

Really liked today’s . I didn’t used to be able to grab my foot after pigeon but I can easily now, I started by just reaching my arm toward it and then eventually just by holding it for a second or so and so on.

I’m sure that’s the first time I’ve seen that enormous engagement ring ?

melonraspberry · 15/01/2023 16:29

She has one called ‘yoga for papas’ which so good for tight hips, I used to do it on every day 30 last year as I don’t like that one (free flow)

melonraspberry · 15/01/2023 16:30

*psoas!

ScottishBeth · 15/01/2023 16:32

Day 14 was lovely! I needed all that stretching. All the twisting at the beginning was so nice.

@melonraspberry she's been wearing it throughout - I think she got engaged in the summer (she posted on Instagram).

BestIsWest · 15/01/2023 16:44

I did 13 and 14 today. 14 was lovely. Such a difference in both sides though. I could easily reach behind and grab my toes on the left but couldn’t get anywhere near my foot on the right.
I’m rubbish at balancing but again better on my left. I try and stand on one leg whenever I’m waiting for the kettle to boil or brushing my teeth. I am improving but bending and balancing at the same time is a bit beyond me.

Taswama · 15/01/2023 17:36

I did 11 and 12 today after a few days of not doing any. I had already briefly started 12 yesterday after parkrun as a warm down stretch but switched to a proper post run yoga instead.
Youtube annoyingly always tells me to do the most recent one and I can't always see which ones I've already done. Luckily her daily outfit changes help!

Enjoyed both of those, not too strenuous for a Sunday afternoon.

AceofPentacles · 15/01/2023 18:02

Completed day 14 , glad it was nice and slow for the end of the day.

Two weeks of yoga! Well done everyone! Grin

froginawell · 15/01/2023 18:31

Day 14 done!!

Nice and stretchy

I'm always very confused about how I can do a thing on one side and not the other!!!

BigHeartyTruffle · 15/01/2023 18:34

Just did day 13. I forgot I had to do my yoga practice this evening and had a pint and a glass of wine with Sunday dinner - given the circumstances I did pretty well with the balancing poses! I start a new job tomorrow and am quite anxious about it, so the message to trust the process really resonated with me and was very helpful. Looking forward to a good stretchy practice tomorrow!

Do you write with one hand and not the other? Surely being even is more unusual?

Awesome, thanks for that tip! I'll look it up. 😀

SunUpSunDown · 15/01/2023 20:27

Well, after catching up Friday, I didn't manage to do Day 13 yesterday after all, as my 0600-1600 shift turned into an 0600-1830 shift. I was shattered when I got home, so Day 13 happened today. I ended up with cramp in my right foot doing the balancing stuff. I've got a very slight bunion on my big toe after a likely fracture/dislocation of my big toe joint many years ago that happened when I was running through the woods and landed on a tree root sticking out of the ground. I think it must mean my foot / leg has to work a bit harder to maintain balance on that side, hence the cramp. Looking forward to Day 14 tomorrow. I've got to leave around 0700, but I'm hoping to do it first thing as it's so much easier to do it then. I also weirdly find it more beneficial, as it seems to set me up for the day.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 15/01/2023 20:52

It took me a while to settle in to day 14, but once we got into the pigeons I was verrrrry happy.

notanicepersonapparently · 15/01/2023 20:56

I’m finding that they are a bit short compared to what I’m used to (which is Move). I just want a few more minutes 😢

Chimna · 15/01/2023 21:11

I enjoyed day 14. I agree that they are starting to feel a little short.

VerbenaView · 15/01/2023 22:26

Day 14, was another nice day, perfect for a Sunday. I'm not sure I'm doing pigeon right, it was uncomfortable on the inner of the bent leg, almost felt like the skin was too tight, it wasn't a muscular feeling. Quite odd, the same on both sides. See y'all tomorrow.

happytobemrsg · 15/01/2023 22:41

Agree that the practice seems to fly by now. I used to think wow 34 minutes, that’s ages! But now I think I miss the longer session. Todays practice wasn’t my favourite (maybe I didn’t particularly feel the need to slow down & stretch?), but I liked the pigeon & very surprised I could hold my foot on both sides. I think was missing more of core workout today. Looking forward to seeing what tomorrow will bring 💙

happytobemrsg · 15/01/2023 22:43

Oh I’ve ordered a 2023 week to view diary so I can note my thoughts on each practice on there instead of my phone. Will hopefully arrive sometime next week.
