Yay! It's day 0 and the video is up ( at 6.03 for me). Let's do this! What a lovely gentle way to start. See you all tomorrow when we actually do a little bit of yoga.

Hope you get better soon @Sooverthemill .

Day 7 done. Time for a cup of tea before I start work. It went by so fast. It felt like it was only 5 minutes long which is good because I am still sore from day 6. Day 8 tonight before bed.

See you on the mat

Sooverthemill · 10/01/2023 08:19

I did almost all day 9 but had to stop as I felt very sick ( splitting headache).

Hope you feel better soon

I really enjoyed Day 9, I've noticed my wrists don't feel so stiff and sore

AceofPentacles · 10/01/2023 09:50

Day 9 completed before breakfast this morning - who even am I? 🤣

Although - the lurgy has descended upon a member of the household, so I'm hoping it misses me this time, last year I caught covid on day 7 and was out for the rest of the month...

AlisonDonut · 10/01/2023 09:52

Day 9 done, I skipped day 8 as I quickly ran through and looked like alot of rolling and folding with pillows.

hoochyhag · 10/01/2023 09:54

Day 9 done, again- I was convinced she said 'croissant' to start with Grin

Again for me with the poor plank/lunge move. I feel I should practice but am afraid of injury without a warm up Blush

Oh yes, @Sooverthemill
Get better soon. We need you!

It must be sustainable and enjoyable for us though. We don't have to practice when we are ill.

I think there should be a separate section for yoga pets Grin

hoochyhag · 10/01/2023 09:55

And photos!

And photos!

Brilliant plan!

namechange5575 · 10/01/2023 10:12

Right! My body was protesting after days 5 and 6, and I had a little sulk sensible rest, and now just did days 7, 9 and 8 (in that order). So I'm back in the game and pleased to be caught up. I really liked the Flow, Corazon was alright, not a fan of the blanket ones. I find them to be too slow to feel rewarding, but there are still stretches and movements, so they aren't very restful either. I think I'd prefer if she went for some full on visualisations and relaxation.

midgetastic · 10/01/2023 10:25

I always thing I should make notes on what each session is for future use!

Day 8 worked really well for me this time as I needed to unwind and the breathing control is making sense for the first time ever

llynnnn · 10/01/2023 11:06

Completed day 9 this morning, enjoyed it and really stretched out my achy muscles from an aerobics class last night!

Does anyone have good yoga socks which don't move at all? I have some which are very comfy, but the sock on back foot in warrior always twists and moves as I press into that foot, so I can't balance!

Shannith · 10/01/2023 11:52

Hope you feel better soon @Sooverthemill - I've just shaken off one lurgy and DD has just come down with another. I could really do without it.

I'm still catching up so did day 6 and 7 today - in the reverse order. I wanted to feel stretched and relaxed before doing core work.

I've not done any pure core for a while because of said lurgy and screwed back so it was doable but reminded me that my previous habit of chucking a core one in every few days is worth it. I used to find day 6 of move challenging so did it quite a number of times until it was easy. So nice to have some new core things to get better at. I must be a masochist! And to be fair a rider so I need some semblance of a core.

I'm enjoying this!

ScottishBeth · 10/01/2023 14:46

@Shannith I'm impressed by your dedication to core work! As I was reading your post I thought that would do me a lot of good for my sport. But then I thought why would I ever do that to myself! I think honestly unless I keep repeating the 30 day challenges I would never do a core focused practice.

Day 9 was yummy - loved it a lot. I really like humble warrior.

Shannith · 10/01/2023 14:53

@ScottishBeth mine is a form of self defence Wink - tricky to stop half a ton of horse without a core muscle or two. Tricky for me either way! Actually one of them is Ok, the other one I could have a six pack and she wouldn't take a blind bit of difference.

Gufo · 10/01/2023 17:13

Day 9 done - I was too tired and could only do humble warrior on one side. Better than nothing at least.

BestIsWest · 10/01/2023 17:35

I only managed half of day 9. Just too tired. First day back in the office since mid December - always a killer. But at least I tried.

parrotonmyshoulder · 10/01/2023 18:17

I liked Day 9. I missed day 8 though as could only fit in a really short session so did an Adriene 15 minute flow.

parrotonmyshoulder · 10/01/2023 18:17

I can’t do puppy posture at all!

Weepingwillows12 · 10/01/2023 19:04

Day 9 done. Was ok but not my favourite. My humble warrior was ok though. Didn't fall over at all which is a win for me so enjoyed that 😁

froginawell · 10/01/2023 19:11

Day 9 done. Also found it quite hard today! Elbows aren't happy with me!

CeeCeeDeeBee · 10/01/2023 19:27

Day nine done, not my favourite. I was already aching all over from an upper body workout earlier today, so found the arm binds haaaaaard.

Ulysses · 10/01/2023 19:28

Done! It went okay and I found my breathing a bit better. I’ve still got day 8 to do as well. I’ll save that for a day when I need it more.

daisychain01 · 10/01/2023 20:12

Corazon was one of my favourites ♥️ Book marked for future use 👍

Liked the Humble Warrior, one of my best postures.

Liked all that lovely heart-opening and hands clasped behind the back.

Wasn't too keen on the elbows down for Puppy Pose, I tend to sink down from tabletop pose so my arms are outstretched rather than elbows and forearms. Glad she didn't keep us there for long, as my shoulders don't love being that extended but it's a lovely stretch for the armpit chest.

Definitely a 9/10 and just about the right length of session ✅

InvisibleDragon · 10/01/2023 20:48

Did days 9 and 8 together in that order tonight. Didn't dislike the blanket one as much as I expected. Corazon was very good for my upper back - so much time hunching my shoulders and carrying DS on my hip. Feeling much better now. And he actually slept for over 4 hours without waking last night, which doesn't sound much but felt like some kind of miracle.

Talisin · 10/01/2023 20:56

Day 9 done and dusted! I really enjoyed that, stretchy but mindful and I feel very calm and evened out now. One I’ll be revisiting I think.

I won’t be home till around 8pm the next two days so I’m glad tomorrows is only 18mins.

Knackerelli · 10/01/2023 21:14

Wasn’t sure about tonight as I’d just come back from a run and then eaten dinner 🤪Despite my trepidation I enjoyed it. Can feel I’m getting stronger although my lunges into warrior were a bit wobbly and I stand no chance of walking up the mat to my hands! Well done everyone
