Yay! It's day 0 and the video is up ( at 6.03 for me). Let's do this! What a lovely gentle way to start. See you all tomorrow when we actually do a little bit of yoga.

Day 5 done late yesterday - bracing myself for Day 6!

Feeling it in my hip flexors but taking it as a good sign as they are so tight usually.

Bought some yoga blocks in aldi so look forward to trying them out. They have mats and other yoga stuff in the middle aisle right now.

Buttalapasta · 07/01/2023 07:54

Just done day 6 and it was actually fine. A lot less painful than Hug! 😆

Fandangles · 07/01/2023 08:51

@VerbenaView well done!! You’ll notice lots of little improvements as you go. So nice to have that buzzy feeling!

@speakout there is something nice about doing it at the same time as others. I’m finding it motivates me that little bit more.

Fandangles · 07/01/2023 08:52

Also just done day 6. Found it hard but really enjoyed it in a masochistic kind of way.

Sooverthemill · 07/01/2023 08:54

Day 6 was great! I confess I took 2 teeny breaks so I could breathe but it was good. Helped by small cat sitting in my tummy during bridge and alongside my bum when doing the not bicycles

Day 6 wasn't as bad as I thought it would be given the comments yesterday. I was definitely feeling it by the end but it was short enough that I got through it ok.

hoochyhag · 07/01/2023 10:08

Gosh, day 6 was fine! I was dreading it, but it just goes to show that we are getting fitter!

Feels so good afterwards.

Interesting about the blocks in Aldi @Gufo will check it out.

Absolutely in awe of those with little ones 🥰

Brontosaurus · 07/01/2023 11:04

Hello all.
I've missed days 4 and 5 because DD is poorly, and has been either sleeping on me, vomiting on me, or crying. I had to sit up with her all through last night, so there's no guarantee I'll be able to catch up today.

Although maybe yoga after a missed night's sleep will be helpful with getting to sleep afterwards? I don't know. I don't want to get too behind.

PositiveLife · 07/01/2023 11:06

I enjoyed day 6 a lot better than day 5. I did day 5 in the evening and its definitely easier for me to feel motivated in the morning.

OopNorfDahnSarf · 07/01/2023 11:07

I think yoga will be good at calming your soul and will help you to cope better with lack of sleep.

Hug completed. Running a day behind. Feel quite tired. But determined to keep going.

Weepingwillows12 · 07/01/2023 11:45

Day 6 done. I actually really enjoyed that. I had to take a few breaks but not loads. I find core easier than downward dog so much preferred to yesterday.

Sooverthemill · 07/01/2023 12:12

@Brontosaurus please don't feel you have to keep up! You have to do what works for you. I have a daughter with a chronic health condition and on the nights I get no sleep I don't always manage my daily practice. You might find it helps to take the 20 minutes or so for yourself but not if it's adds loads of pressure x

Yes we are all going at our own speed. It’s great to be doing it together, but life will get in the way at some point and this is supposed to be doing us good, not making us feel under pressure.

Day 6 in the books. Was not as tough as I was expecting (I hadn’t read your posts before doing it).

Oh no talk of catching up. Just jump in when you can. That’s what I do. As others have said it’s too much pressure otherwise. If I’ve done half the week then I’m ok wit that. It was the same with move and I still felt the benefit.

happytobemrsg · 07/01/2023 13:52

Is it weird that I’m looking forward to todays session? I love core work because that’s the most wobbly bit of me!

Shannith · 07/01/2023 14:12

I'm belatedly in, having managed to send my back into spasm while walking the dog in knee deep mug and coughing at the same time!

So a few days of naproxen got me to the point where I could do a few random Move ones - as moving is exactly what it needed so I can now do it pain free.

Just finished day 3 and I'm really enjoying it. After 10 (!) months of daily Move it's nice to learn a few new things.

I like that she focuses on breathing so much. It really, really is the secret sauce.

I love that with a decent amount of yoga under my belt it all feels - easy. I literally wobbled about in low to medium pain for the first oh... 5?6? Months but now I really get what she's going on about and work to finesse things.

Never thought I'd be hanging out in plank like I was just chilling - but I do now. Going from flat to plank used to feel like a crazy thing that I'd never crack - now I do t even think about it.

Thank you Adrienne!

That said day 3 reminded me that my hamstrings could be less tight and that the slight siatica the spasm caused is not entirely gone. But, best cure for that is yoga.

I tend to do 2 a day because at 47 I often need the first one to limber up and the second to really get into the flow.

Rummikub · 07/01/2023 14:39

Shabbily that knee spasm sounded painful. And amazing you found what works and carried on.

ive just don’t day 6. Ouch! But I prefer core to all the downward dog. It feels hard but not painful and I know it’ll get easier.

Coraline353 · 07/01/2023 15:18

Day 6 done. Wasn't too bad overall but I am quite hungover which made it a bit more challenging. But I did it!

ArabeI · 07/01/2023 15:30

I'm doing day 6 late this evening, as usual.

I enjoyed days 4 and 5. Lots of hip stretching, I think. I'd be happy to repeat Center again next month.

BalancingStick · 07/01/2023 15:45

I didn't really get into day 4, enjoyed day 5 and will do todays session a bit later on...

PolarBlair · 07/01/2023 16:05

Day 6 was tough on the core. I'm happy to be keeping up though - as it's a personal goal I have set to do 30 days of yoga

Stickortwister · 07/01/2023 16:15

Just barging onto the thread to say "i flipping did day 6!!!!"

Feeling a bit euphoric as i know my core is an issue.
Really enjoying it all this year. Not sure if its because im a bit fitter or in a better place mentally but its currently a highlight of my day. Hoping for this to be the first year i make it all the way to day 30.

Gufo · 07/01/2023 16:16

Day 6 done - glad to have it out of the way but disappointed it didn't give me a six pack Grin.

AceofPentacles · 07/01/2023 16:48

Only got halfway through day six, have horrible period and it did not go well with core exercises! But at least I showed up I guess...
