Yay! It's day 0 and the video is up ( at 6.03 for me). Let's do this! What a lovely gentle way to start. See you all tomorrow when we actually do a little bit of yoga.

Day 3 just done and "on the books" (remember that from a previous YWA challenge?)

OMG the pyramid and standing splits combo was a killer! My kneecap was shaking on the standing leg eeeeek

enjoyed it especially the sitting posture, with right leg over left and pushing the thigh outwards - felt quite releasing on the hip.

will sleep well.

notanicepersonapparently · 04/01/2023 19:56

I don’t do any other exercise so I enjoy the more active ones. I’m always a little wobbly in the low lunges so I’m hoping to improve those over the 30days.

Jedstre · 04/01/2023 20:03

Found it tiring today but I’ve felt a bit rough all day. The time went fast though.

Talisin · 04/01/2023 20:37

Oof - I’ll feel that in my thighs tomorrow. I managed the whole of it though (but my transitions remain dire).

VerbenaView · 04/01/2023 20:38

I loved today, my technique is shocking, but I did my best and really enjoyed it.

I had read previous posts and I wasn’t looking forward to day 3, as I returned home extremely tired, but I now feel tired in a good way with enough energy to make supper.
Happy happy happy 😊

Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton · 04/01/2023 21:20

I cannot walk up the mat
I sort of stagger :(

Another tip if wrists are hurting (beyond resting, and giving them a shake out/stretch), is to rest on your fists (knuckles down). Useful when on all fours. But strength in wrists will improve really quickly over this month based on previous years!

Ah, thanks! Wish there was a like button!

I did day 2 this morning and day 3 tonight as I'm keen not to get behind. I found it quite hard tonight I must admit. Really enjoying the circling and really appreciated all the cat/cow this morning. My hip flexors are so tight in a sitting position though so I hope that gets better.

parrotonmyshoulder · 04/01/2023 21:54

Quite liked day 3 and nearly didn’t do it as I had to do it late. Felt quite releasing of my day’s aches and niggles. Found the side lying and positioning hardest.

happytobemrsg · 04/01/2023 22:08

Day 3 was a serious work out. Maybe one to go back to after I’ve been practicing a while in the hope of seeing some improvement! First time using blocks which were really helpful but meant I couldn’t keep up with some of the quick transitions from cobra to plank. I asked her to “hang on a minute” & “slow down!” But I don’t think she heard me 😂

HellonHeels · 04/01/2023 22:13

The side lying was SO painful! Even with a blanket for padding I was suffering. Didn't get much out of that section. Enjoyed the rest of the session but am so slow and awkward 🤯

However I am feeling, maybe, that I'm moving more freely.

Prestissimo · 04/01/2023 22:29

Enjoyed day 3 although was shaking a lot in the standing splits. Looking forward to getting stronger again after such a break from regular practice. I'm sure my balance improved really quickly with Move so hoping for the same again.

Weepingwillows12 · 04/01/2023 22:40

I enjoyed day 3. Felt achy before so it's clearly doing something. Was tough but fun and a few new moves for me. For those new guys worried it's hard, I don't always manage to hold all poses for all the time she does but I don't care. I try and do it one more breath than I want to give up then drop to a more comfortable pose. Used to feel guilty but now i do what feels good.

Shinyandnew2022 · 04/01/2023 22:42

Another day done here too -
Glad to see I wasn't the only one not a fan of the standing splits that hurts !
Absolutely loved this session though I got completely lost in it for most of it (DC distracting me at the start)

ArabeI · 04/01/2023 23:23

Very late but just finished day 3. That was a nice stretch today!

Sooverthemill · 05/01/2023 06:35

Day 4: she says namaste!

Day 4! Root. Warning there's some core work, but not too much (although I found it really hard!) And some balancing which I loved.

Day 4: she says namaste!

I noticed that too! Felt very welcoming to have it back.

Ietthemeatcake · 05/01/2023 07:42

I found the first part of day 4 quite tough, it's not a gentle start this year, and/or I'm quite out of condition!

AceofPentacles · 05/01/2023 08:07

Day 4 done, loved the frog and even managed a mini tree pose!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 05/01/2023 08:21

Day 4 done here too. I’d been running first, so enjoyed the lying down to start with and the stretches at the end.

ladybranstonpickle · 05/01/2023 08:53

Ticked off day 3 this morning - am a day behind but if I can, will do day 4 tonight to catch up, maybe while dinner (pasta bolognese 😋) is cooking.
Definitely challenged in the lunges, despite my many months of Caroline Girvan training which includes heaps of them! I think it's the holding still that makes it tough vs moving lunges that you get in functional strength training.

Buttalapasta · 05/01/2023 09:08

Really enjoyed today's. The right level of challenging for me. My bum hurts from yesterday's though - not sure why!

newmumtotwo24 · 05/01/2023 09:22

Early day 4 for me. Really enjoyed the core work. Can feel that my muscles are a little sore from all this new movement so clearly it's having an effect

Sooverthemill · 05/01/2023 09:32

I found the balancing at the end really tough which is annoying as I had got so good! But I've not done enough since I had covid. Really enjoying this one
