So in 2022 a bunch of us did MOVE every day and then carried on for j think about 7 months and then we petered out a bit but most still have some kind of daily practice. Please join us starting 1 January!

SIGN UP: here

Designed for whole body mental health, this 30 Day Journey is yoga for the here and now. This series is suitable for all levels, and offers modifications and enhancements for individuals far and wide to practice in a way that invites transformation, healing, and strength from the inside out.

CENTER focuses on whole-body strengthening with core-centered practices. It is breath led and crafted like a good book. One practice or page, prepares you for the next.

Expect to learn new things, go deeper in your practice, discover how to absorb your own self-care, befriend Benji the dog, and practice yoga, meditation, breath work, self-massage, affirmation, sweat, stillness, and laughter.

I cannot wait! MOVE got me through this bloody hard year and the companionship of all you guys made such a difference. Please join me
January!

Merry Christmas everyone.

Yesterday I did a great YWA video on YouTube called Yoga for Lymphatic Flow

It was one of her best 'stand-alone' sessions (ie not part of her annual 30 days series). Not too much chit-chat 👍

Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton · 25/12/2022 17:22

Merry Christmas all 🎄

Cherrypi · 25/12/2022 17:45

Definitely up for this. Do it ever year and enjoy it but really fallen off the yoga bandwagon recently.

Accoucheuse07 · 26/12/2022 19:20

Signed up thank you for the thread. I’m fairly new to yoga but have been doing some of Kassandra’s beginners classes and received Kassandra's new book Year Of Yoga for Christmas. Hoping Adriene’s 30 day plan kick starts me into daily practice!

ChocAuVin · 27/12/2022 10:11

I'm in again, yay! This year YWA helped me 'habit stack' an earlier wake time with daily yoga practice. Plus, I'm a tiny bit in love with Adrienne, so...

CeeCeeDeeBee · 27/12/2022 15:43

I also enjoyed the Yoga for Lymphatic Flow; I did it yesterday after significant overeating and felt marginally better!

I treated myself to Kassandra's Affirmation cards which I'm patiently awaiting -due around 5 January. They are colour coded according to whether they are physical, emotional, mental or spiritual 👍

ArabeI · 27/12/2022 16:39

I think I dropped off the threads around September. I've hardly done any yoga recently.

Signing up again for January .

Accoucheuse07 · 27/12/2022 21:37

I saw those- think I might need to place an order!😊

Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton · 27/12/2022 21:38

Any recommendations for a beginner ?

Any particular calendar?

rifling · 28/12/2022 09:43

Hello. I've just signed up. I made it through to April last year and found it really helpful. But still gave up! Why???! I will try and stick it out for longer this year.

You need to sign up to Yoga With Adrienne so they use your email address to send you calendars.

pretty much all YWA annual 30 day challenges are suitable for beginners. She makes sure she suggests adaptations for newcomers or people with different needs eg knees, backs, shoulder problems that need a less strong version of a posture.

best thing to do is go onto YouTube and search for her videos and try a few general sessions. Hopefully you have a grippy yoga mat for safety esp if you're a beginner.

WinterFoxes · 29/12/2022 10:05

Thank you so much for posting this reminder @Sooverthemill . I've just signed up. Can't wait. I love YWA.

ladybranstonpickle · 29/12/2022 10:41

I would love to join but I am already doing Caroline Girvan's IRON series...I wonder if I can do it in my pjs before bed. It looks like most of the sessions are relatively short?

ladybranstonpickle · 29/12/2022 10:46

When I click the link to JOIN on the website, its just blank? Has the calendar come out yet? Could someone post it here for us to see?

hoochyhag · 29/12/2022 11:03

Yes please!

Thank you @Sooverthemill

I was late to the game, but have been doing Move every other day for a few months and it's made a huge difference to my strength and flexibility.

I'm 61 so I'll take it gently Grin

hoochyhag · 29/12/2022 11:06

I love Benji, unfortunately Hoochydog is not so well behaved and thinks I am up for playing with toys when I get the mat out Shock

Talisin · 29/12/2022 18:31

Calendar is here for those that didn’t sign up for the emails.

Thank you for that! I'm getting ex for this. I've been really unwell the last couple of weeks and haven't managed much. Need this a lot!
@hoochyhag I'm almost 65 and I find the 30 day programmes are fine for me even with arthritis and dodgy hips!

@Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton you can do any of the 30 days challenges but this one we will all be supporting each other and each day is quite short so do keep on here with us!

I do mine in my pjs in the morning! That’s what I love about it.

newmumtotwo24 · 29/12/2022 20:47

Just come across this thread and signed up. Total yoga newbie, never done it before. Will I be able to just start with this 30day thing or should I check out some yoga beforehand? And any recommendations? I've a 3mo and a 21mo so getting it in will be a challenge but I'm hoping with this thread and with a set one each day I might be more motivated to make sure I'm doing it

Sooverthemill · 30/12/2022 07:28

@newmumtotwo24 they are definitely okay for beginners. She always suggests modifications and explains moves carefully. You could try some of her shorter beginner ones to get in the mood? She has loads of 10-12 minute ones. Look on her YouTube channel where stuff is grouped by length.

welcome to all the newbies!

@newmumtotwo24 I'd posted up thread - you may want to try out some of her foundations of yoga videos to get a bit of familiarity with some of the poses that crop up most often, particularly down dog, cobra and warriors 1 and 2. Child pose, cat cow and mountain pose are also pretty common but reasonably straightforward to get into the right general shape so you can wing those pretty easily. You could also try her foundations of flow video to give you a feel of flow. If in doubt, just breathe and pay attention to your body - yoga isn't about forcing difficult poses but moving mindfully with the breath.
