This thread is for those of us crazy enough to commit to continuing MOVE every day during the year
so@BestIsWest

tag anyone I've missed
everyone is welcome. We are doing this together because it motivates and encourages us and each has seen an improvement even tiny from repeating Move. Yes, we know there are other 30 day challenges and the monthly calendar but we love MOVE!

Pelvic floor link for Adriene

Sooverthemill · 23/06/2022 11:04

Day 22 and I promise I will look at other 30 days over the weekend. Been a bit crazy here

Still here but seems like life is getting hectic for lots of us - I missed three days this week and think I did day 16 yesterday - possibly my worst month so far !
Belated well done @BestIsWest for the side plank !
I feel a bit creaky from all the days off which
Is annoying but I have to be realistic that I will miss some days - kids keep having activities that get us home far too late for me to get to the mat !

BestIsWest · 23/06/2022 19:19

We’re on holiday this week and I brought my mat but to be honest it’s been so hot and we’ve done some longish walks that I only managed 2 days and one of them was day 21 which is very short. Home tomorrow though and cooler weather too.

Sooverthemill · 23/06/2022 21:09

I think the summer can be a tricky time to keep up with something like this. I'm happy to carry on and see any of us who can check in. Enjoy the sun!

I'm still here! Just been a bit busy to post. Still managing to be up-to-date, so did 23 yesterday (although had to double up earlier in the week because missed some over the weekend).

Well done to everyone with achievements - agree that just getting to the mat feels like a victory some days!

Prestissimo · 24/06/2022 06:44

Actually I wanted to ask the more experienced Movers what you do on day 30. I was completely flummoxed last month by her saying "do what you feel" or whatever. What does that mean?! Did you make up a yoga sequence, or did you want her her and do it just without her talking?

I gave up after a few minutes because I'm nowhere near the stage where I can do yoga uninstructed!! I did a different one instead. But interested to know how others coped.

Sooverthemill · 24/06/2022 08:13

Day 23 perfect after my osteopath appointment yesterday!

@Prestissimo I hate day 30 with a vengeance. I tried for the first 3 years and then decided to do my favourite from the previous 29. I don’t like freedom! I need guidance or I skive off

Thanks @Sooverthemill that makes me feel a lot less inadequate Grin

Sooverthemill · 25/06/2022 09:26

@Prestissimo 😂day 25 was perfect for me today. Took it all dead slow

BestIsWest · 25/06/2022 09:45

I did 22 yesterday. I know I’ve only missed three days but I could really feel the difference. I struggled with the balancing, I was much better last time round. I know the next few days are nice ones building up to the horror of 27 so I’m looking forward to them.

OopNorfDahnSarf · 25/06/2022 11:35

Another random Adriene. I will keep "snacking" and join in with you in July when you start again. Keep turning up to the mat.

Rummikub · 25/06/2022 13:45

Day 21 to day.

short and hard. I think this one I’ll try regularly. Putting weight on my
middle and want to not!

ill check out that pelvic floor one later too, thanks.

Shannith · 25/06/2022 18:42

I have somehow got up to day 29 and have had a go at the first 4 TRUE ones. So far they are nice.

I can't overstate how much I'm amazed by and enjoying yoga pain free after my physio fixed my 35 years of chronic park n from my smashed collarbone!

I'm like a kid in a sweet shop and I can actually enjoy the benefits 5 months of move.

Rummikub · 25/06/2022 19:56

Shannith that sounds amazing!

Shinyandnew2022 · 25/06/2022 21:38

Day 21 for me too today - I must have skipped that one in the past as I really didn't remember it ! It was tough but good. I felt a bit back in the zone today hopefully I can stay on track.
I love reading everyone's updates and progress so much
@Shannith that sounds wonderful !

guinnessguzzler · 26/06/2022 08:42

Day 26 to ease back in today after another busy few weeks. I think I will choose something different tomorrow ie not Day 27!

BestIsWest · 26/06/2022 17:34

24 done.

I am back in the office two days a week from Tuesday. First time since March 2020. I am trying to distract myself by worrying about what on Earth to wear.

Hope I can fit the yoga in first thing in the morning before going.

guinnessguzzler · 26/06/2022 18:56

That's the problem I've had recently, fitting it in whilst doing much more work outside the home.

Definitely best to do it first thing if possible. Are you anxious about going back to the office @BestIsWest?

BestIsWest · 26/06/2022 19:02

I am a bit @guinnessguzzler. It will be nice to see colleagues and once I’m at my desk it will be fine I think but I’m not looking forward to it.

guinnessguzzler · 26/06/2022 19:10

Aah, well hope it is easier / better than you expect and all the more reason to get your yoga in before you go I suppose.

Prestissimo · 27/06/2022 05:48

Good luck today @BestIsWest

Sounds great @Shannith - enjoy!

I somehow missed a couple of days so did 24 yesterday. My left leg really didn't like being balanced on - kept cramping!! Thinking I'll catch up as far as 29 by Thursday, then I can avoid the dreaded 30.

BestIsWest · 27/06/2022 19:42

Ah thanks @Prestissimo, first day in the office has been delayed until Thursday - no one else in my team was going in today or tomorrow and I didn’t see much point in being in there on my own! Gives me more time to decide what to wear (aka find something that fits).

25 done, nice and short.

Sooverthemill · 27/06/2022 19:54

So I've been looking and I reckon TRUE would be a great one for us all to start in July. The longest day is 41 minutes and most are under 30. It builds up as does Move. It's also the last kne she made at her house! What does everyone think ?
