This thread is for those of us crazy enough to commit to continuing MOVE every day during the year
so@BestIsWest

tag anyone I've missed
everyone is welcome. We are doing this together because it motivates and encourages us and each has seen an improvement even tiny from repeating Move. Yes, we know there are other 30 day challenges and the monthly calendar but we love MOVE!

@DontPickTheFlowers sorry to hear that. Hope June improves for you
so I overslept after a week of awful sleep and have just done a 10 minute Kassandra stretch which was fab. Simply couldn’t face 30 minutes but tomorrow I will

Days 23 and 24 here. Didn't really enjoy either of them. But I will carry on.

BestIsWest · 05/06/2022 12:41

Neck and shoulder still very stiff and sore so there was no way I could do 4 yesterday so I did her neck and head 10 minute shortie. I think it did help because the discomfort has changed if not eased. May try 5 later but modify.

Rummikub · 05/06/2022 12:45

Thanks for the new thread. Yes I agree that trying to just enjoy the process rather than feel it’s a chore is the way forward.

I did day 20 today, forgetting I had done it yesterday!

Rummikub · 05/06/2022 12:47

Shannith · 04/06/2022 14:28

Day 4 done and I'm still no yogi but in standing lunge I can start to think about obeying (!) her other instructions rather than gritting it out:trying not to wobble.

This made me laugh as it’s so true. In january I didn’t even notice the detailed instructions and I notice then now and even act on some!

DontPickTheFlowers · 05/06/2022 21:51

I’m trying to catch up a bit so managed to do day 2 and 3 today so feeling fab - the twists felt amazing and I didn’t realise how much tension I was holding in my shoulders !

DontPickTheFlowers · 05/06/2022 21:56

Soover - there must be something in the air, I somehow managed to sleep until 10:20 this morning…I think that must be the latest I’ve slept in for over 18 years.

Hope you sleep better this week, I think the yoga helps a bit🤞

Sooverthemill · 06/06/2022 08:03

@DontPickTheFlowers well done for sleeping! My rhythm is totally f*rd after years of being woken throughout the night with DD ( chronic illness). But yay to sleep
did day 4 which is the flow one and I love it always. Feels so good. And yes to listening to her instructions rather than plunging hopefully on.

I am totally procrastinating today. Right, I've read through this and been reminded how great it is. To the mat... possibly via... no - on it!

Prestissimo · 06/06/2022 11:43

Managed days 4 and 5 today - I'm off work this week so planning to catch up. I enjoyed doing a full hour and they're a nice combination actually: the more active flow and then slower deepen.

Prestissimo · 06/06/2022 11:44

Hope you're just finishing @Shannith Smile

Shannith · 06/06/2022 11:46

@Prestissimo ahem. I've got the mat out at least

Prestissimo · 06/06/2022 13:03

@Shannith Grin
As she says, the hardest part is showing up... until she does other hard bits!

BestIsWest · 06/06/2022 17:59

Did nothing yesterday as 4 looked a bit too hard - I find flow ones difficult. My neck seems a bit better today so I did 5 making sure I used blocks for Down dog. It was lovely and I feel blissful now.

Rummikub · 07/06/2022 00:49

I couldn’t sleep last night so ended up doing day 21 at 5am!

i likes this one. It’s possible and it’s just my stamina holding me back.

Sooverthemill · 07/06/2022 08:22

@Rummikub I often sleep badly. Woke up just after 5 today which was annoying but it meant I could do a few jobs around the house ( quietly). I won't do yoga before 7 but I did day 5 which was great upward dog and pigeon. I'm amazed that each day is still a total surprise, I have no memory of them at all!

OP posts:
Shannith · 07/06/2022 09:18

Day 5 was nice and I'm amazed that I just nip down into a yogic swap without drama and just hang out (ish).

Every time I do day 6 I think I must do it more often because it really targets the bits other yoga doesn't. I do day 21 a few times a week as my core work and it's easy now. Day 6 not so much!

Prestissimo · 07/06/2022 11:56

I felt great in the yogic squat yesterday too @Shannith - definitely progress felt there.

Managed 6 and 7 today after a run so now feeling very virtuous. I enjoyed the Nourish one as have been a bit in the doldrums last few days. Amazing what a difference yoga can make. Bit of sunshine today helps too.

Ha ha I love this so true !

I had the jubilee weekend off ( drinking Prosecco )
Did day 2'yesterday and 3 today .
Really enjoyed today Smile
It was one where I felt able to do everything

Sooverthemill · 08/06/2022 09:00

Day 6. OMG this was soooo hard today. I really struggled. But I finished it. Why is it so hard 6 months in?

OP posts:
BestIsWest · 08/06/2022 09:40

It IS hard! Those side push ups - ugh.

Shannith · 08/06/2022 10:00

@Sooverthemill 6 is hard! And I do other core ones so I should find it easier - nope. I think it targets quite specific bits that just don't get tested as much in her other sessions.

My solution to the I can't do it problem is to repeat it until I can. But I appreciate I'm weird.

Day 7 is much nicer - just done it and enjoyed it.

Prestissimo · 08/06/2022 14:42

Did day 8 today. I do enjoy it but blimey it's hard to 'still the mind' when you have 25 minutes and the session is 32 minutes long 😅

Day 4 done today -
Enjoyed it though did groan inwardly at the 29 minute duration - silly really as you don't really notice it's longer once you get going.
