Very excited when the email came this morning! Is anyone else up for this?

Thanks @Sooverthemill it's nice to know Benji is just a cool dude.

Hope you and your daughter are OK x

MamehaSan · 14/01/2020 21:14

I liked that today's was a bit more "active", I repeated the abs sequence a couple of times, second time round was defnitley better! Quite a short session again today, I'm looking forward to the intensity returning in the next few days. The last few have been quite meditative and I was missing the challenge.

Sooverthemill · 14/01/2020 21:15

@daisychain01 thank you. She's more settled and slept better last night

KittyMcKitty · 14/01/2020 22:31

Soover so pleased your dd more settled and you both had a better night.

I’ve just done day 13 - I normally do them when I wake up but am having v trying week and just couldn’t face getting up to do the practice at 6. Ultimately that was a bad decision as have felt very stressed all day. Nearly didn’t do today’s practice (it’s been a long while since I’ve missed a day) - n the end pride in keeping my yoga streak got me on the mat.

Absolutely loved today - there is something so uplifting about warrior 2 and opening your heart in a low lunge. Has all definitely lifted my mood a bit. Hopefully with a good nights sleep things will seem brighter in the morning.

After missing two days just from being busy and feeling utterly rotten about everything I did Day 13 this evening. Found my abs again (or lack of) I didn’t do the dreaded Day 6.

I’m thinking once I finish the 30 days I might go back and do it again in February as I’ve missed quite a few days. I’m still struggling trying to fit it in and find motivation now I’m back at work.

noodlezoodle · 15/01/2020 00:35

Enjoyed today. Short but I'm really feeling the benefit of all the foundation work we've done so far, my warriors, lunges and downward dogs are feeling much more stable. I think the videos get a bit longer from tomorrow on which I'm looking forward to.

@Sooverthemill, glad you and your daughter are getting some rest.

@KittyMcKitty and @sweetkitty I hope your week improves!

Magnificentbeast · 15/01/2020 07:25

I'm really enjoying the 30 days of yoga. I managed 5 consecutive days and then missed one but back in it the next day. My body feels so much less creaky! Smile

I'm on week 2 of improving my posture. Week 1 was surprisingly tiring but it's feeling much more natural this week. Although I still really have to keep an eye on it.

Redpriestandmozart · 15/01/2020 07:40

Day 14 done, I really thought this would be the big one but it was lovely, I enjoyed all the hip stretching absolutely my favourite so far but I do have simple needs, I struggled with anjali mudra in pigeon pose on right side but managed the left that made me happy :) Have a great day everyone.

MooseyMoo · 15/01/2020 07:42

Argh, woke at 4.20am as my shoulder was hurting. Have no idea why it’s hurting but it’s annoying me. Will have to be careful during today’s yoga session.

Sooverthemill · 15/01/2020 09:17

@MooseyMoo that's a shame. There's a bit of tabletop but not too bad on shoulders ( I have recurring shoulder injury). Hope you feel better soon

I loved today's practice and it sped by despite me worrying I might not have time to finish it. I think this 30 days may be my favourite. It doesn't feel intense but I think she's been very clever and savvy with it.

DD seems to be improving so we both slept. It had been beginning to feel like those awful baby days all over ( and she's 20 so no wish to return there)

mimiasovitch · 15/01/2020 10:43

@Sooverthemill glad things are looking up for your dd.

Loved it today. Hip openers really help my back, so I'll bookmark this one for future reference. The fact that they are so short generally, and apart from a sports bra I can keep my pjs on, means I am far more likely to get on the mat than do any other form of exercise.

Speaking of bras, whilst for this I don't need massive bounce support, I still like to wear something as otherwise they're a bit in my face. Literally in the case of down dog. I'd prefer one like a crop top, but am a 34gg. I've considered a sleep bra I've seen in bravissimo, but any other suggestions?

Sooverthemill · 15/01/2020 16:10

@mimiasovitch I dont wear a bra for home yoga but for Pilates I wear a stretchy bra let things from next. Not sports. I do have a sports one but rarely bother, that is just from tk maxx

KinkyDoritowithsparkleson · 15/01/2020 17:25

soover pleased she's feeling better and you are both better rested.

I am now a day behind as I had an insanely long day with loads of travel and no down time yesterday. Day 13 done. I'm travelling again tomorrow but hoping to have time in the hotel to do Day 14. Pleased I came back today even though work is so stressful and I just want to eat and sleep!

Sooverthemill · 15/01/2020 17:53

I've just found the other thread. It's under exercise not yoga.

poorbuthappy · 15/01/2020 19:08

If I don't wear a sports bra I get suffocated in downward dog. Blush

sycamore54321 · 15/01/2020 20:33

Day 14 done and another one I enjoyed. I was wearing slightly constraining trousers so definitely not the wisest choice for all those hip moves.

Having a really rotten stressful evening and the yoga helped massively b

KittyMcKitty · 15/01/2020 20:36

I just wear a close fitting vest top & pj bottoms at home - at a yoga class I put in more of an effort Smile

Just done day 14 which was great - nearly cried listening to Adriene’s talk about already being that person! Found today’s practice really whizzed by. Looking forward to tomorrow. I don’t have to be in work tomorrow so will aim to do it around 8 after the children leave for school which will be a great start to the day.

Very stressful day at work today so it was nice to have yoga to end the day. I think I would have enjoyed it more without all the intrusive thoughts creeping in but I very much needed it today.

Redpriestandmozart · 15/01/2020 21:28

I get up early to do a short spin before yoga so I keep my cycle shorts and sports bra squishy thing on, it gives me one massive mono boob but is comfy. Thankfully I don't do yoga outside of my home so I'm not fussy what I wear.

noodlezoodle · 16/01/2020 00:57

That was absolutely lovely, bookmarked for future use. Feel all floaty and relaxed now.

Sooverthemill · 16/01/2020 08:50

Loved today's! Like all the others .. will do this one often I'm sure. So happy with this 30 days programme, except, why do I always end up facing away from the screen? No matter which end of the mat I start at, I'm face away when it would be a good idea to see the screen!

Love love love warrior 2, my favourite pose I think and this practice has lots.
Btw for people with shoulder issues there are 2 sets that you may need to adapt ( side plank and downward dog twist)

parrotonmyshoulder · 16/01/2020 08:52

I’ve just done day 13 which was really nice and stretchy but short. I might have time to do day 14 this evening. Don’t usually get a morning practice but have a late start at work today.
I’m enjoying the shortness of these sessions to get back into it this year. If I can keep the habit going I can try the longer ones next month.

UnaOfStormhold · 16/01/2020 08:58

Halfway there! Really pleased I started this, hope I can make this a regular thing!

Redpriestandmozart · 16/01/2020 10:32

Day 15 done, halfway and what a lovely flowing session it was, loved all of it and managed to keep up with her and I got a little sweaty too. Did anyone else feel the lovely stretch in their hips after yesterday?

mimiasovitch · 16/01/2020 12:16

What a great session this morning. When I saw 'side plank' I was a little apprehensive, but it was all good.
