Very excited when the email came this morning! Is anyone else up for this?

@MooseyMoo I intend to do this one all over again just to see if there are improvements. I have so many of her videos saved that usually I just work through them.

Sooverthemill · 11/01/2020 16:43

I do repeat the 30 days knees over and over ( except dedicate which I didn't complete). I love them. I also do a series of others eg for hips or core on a daily basis. Has to be under 30 minutes though!

KittyMcKitty · 11/01/2020 17:28

I also repeat them.

Just done today’s practice which was lovely. Quite relieved it was short as went to my regular vinyasa class this morning which was somewhat more challenging then I expected!

Can’t believe we’re a third of the way through!

Day 7 done.

BobbyBlueCat · 11/01/2020 18:15

@MooseyMoo - look on her website. Every month she releases a calendar. So in February, do the February calendar!
If you're signed up to her emails, she'll send you a copy of the new month's calender on the last Sunday of the previous month. They are made up of videos she's already filmed, so you can see in advance what is coming up, or you can swap a couple of days if one is too long and the following day is nice and short.
If you don't get her weekly emails, the new calendar will appear on her website a couple of days before the 1st of the month.

mimiasovitch · 11/01/2020 19:45

Just completed today's. I was planning on resting a day, as I've been feeling especially crappy today, but I saw it was very short with no planks/down dogs and it turns out it felt marvellous. I really, really want to get the 30 day streak. I've done a few of her 30 day series in the past but they've always taken longer, but not this time!

noodlezoodle · 11/01/2020 20:25

I didn't really enjoy that at all but I do now feel really nicely stretched out, so I suppose it did me some good!

sycamore54321 · 11/01/2020 21:38

Completed day 10!

Am I really weird? I have a family member staying this evening and normally I do my yoga in the living room in the evening when my children are in bed as usually I'm the only adult in the house.

This evening, it felt hugely embarrassing to say "excuse me, I need the living room to do my home yoga video" So instead I said I'd pop upstairs to put away laundry and went sneaking up to my room with the yoga mat. As it turns out, I wouldn't have even needed the mat. But I'm still a bit bemused by my own secrecy around it all. Bizarre!

Anyway, ten day streak, who-hoo

sweetkitty · 11/01/2020 22:02

Nice and quick one today, felt quite stretchy.

I always print out the months calendar then fail to do them Blush going to try harder this year. If there’s one I don’t like the look of I’ll substitute it for one more tailored for me. A Hip-Opener or Sciatica one. I love the mix and match of the monthly calendars

UnaOfStormhold · 11/01/2020 22:23

That felt good, nice and simple but still a good stretch and balance. I have looked at the calendars and they seem a slightly random collection of videos - I do like the way this programme is cumulative. That said I have her other 30 day programmes to try (might avoid dedicate though, going by comments on here!).

I totally get not liking to have someone listening in while doing the yoga - makes me self-conscious!

noodlezoodle · 12/01/2020 02:48

I bookmark videos of hers that I really love so that I can do them again, and I have 8 of the Dedicate videos bookmarked so I must have liked it - sounds like I'm in the minority!

KittyMcKitty · 12/01/2020 08:54

Really loved today although am starting to wonder if I will ever be able to get my Crow off the ground Sad

@UnaOfStormhold I don't often follow the calendar but look at it and there's usually a theme of some kind. So I think there is a logic. I also bookmark ones I love and I have a playlist of under 10 minutes, 15 min and 20 minutes for when I need fast things. I use her app when in hospital with DD ( who is permanently sick) and do it in the loo! Otherwise it's YouTube on the TV.

@noodlezoodle when I feel fully recovered I may go and have another look. Was struggling physically this time last year!

Today's was fab but I skipped crow as it's a pose I can't do at the moment with my shoulder. I'm soooo loving this 30 days!

UnaOfStormhold · 12/01/2020 09:50

There's an app?

Sooverthemill · 12/01/2020 10:29

@Una here. I have it on phone and iPad. It's fab. But it costs £7.99 a month ( I think) which I have paid for about 3 years as I felt it was less than the cost of a class and I wanted to support her ( she wasn't so big then). You get extras. Extra classes, vlogs, stuff. You don't need it at all but I never get to a real class so this is my contribution

MooseyMoo · 12/01/2020 10:43

@BobbyBlueCat Aha, didn’t realise that. Thank you 🙏 Will check out her website now.

My birthday is soon and think I will ask for a yoga mat. Whenever I try to do downward dog, my hands slide slightly.

Redpriestandmozart · 12/01/2020 11:01

Day 11 done, that went fast, don't think I will ever manage crow although it was something I did all the time as a kid and never knew what it was!

sweetkitty · 12/01/2020 11:18

@MooseyMoo I got a yoga mat for £4.99 in Aldi they have load of fitness stuff in their middle aisles. I was using a thicker fitness mat before. I yoga in my bedroom on carpet.

mimiasovitch · 12/01/2020 12:02

Today's was lovely. I enjoy the deep squat, and have kind of assumed that the crow will be forever out of my reach, and I'm ok with that. My legs are aching a bit now though! Probably the excessive amount of feeling sorry for myself on the sofa yesterday. No time for that today, the rug needs walking.

mimiasovitch · 12/01/2020 12:02

Dog, dog needs walking. To be fair, she is rather rug like.

Sooverthemill · 12/01/2020 12:48

@MooseyMoo I always had problems with slipping on the old mat I had. I specifically looked for One reviewed as non slip

KinkyDoritowithsparkleson · 12/01/2020 17:21

Lovely today and added 'Yoga to heal stress' after Day 11. 😊

mamapants · 12/01/2020 18:52

Well I only got yo day 3 before injuring myself running on day 4 so haven't done any since. Ankle is a lot better now so am hoping to get back on it tonight. And then maybe double up Mon and Tues.
A good way to work up to the crow is to get into position with toes touching floor and just lifting one foot at a time. Or you can also use blocks, either block under your feet or a block under your head. If it is just confidence holding you back then a folded up blanket in front of your head really helps.

NotJustACigar · 12/01/2020 18:59

Oh no, there appear to be two threads running about this and I posted on the wrong one! But I'm up to day ten and already feel like I'm getting stronger and more flexible.

Redcrayons · 12/01/2020 19:21

I was a day behind so I've had double Adrienne today to catch up and I'm feeling very chilled out.

I think I'm getting the hang of the breathing and even managed to bring my left foot forward in one easy move. TBH I surprised myself with that. I'm finding that my balance on my right leg is my h worse than on my left. I run a lot and get a lot of niggles on that side. I need to find something to work on strengthening my right leg.

I don't think I'll ever manage the crow, my arms aren't strong enough to support my weight I don't think.
