@carosel2 - thanks. These days with every sale on ebay and Facebook marketplace etc being reported back to HMRC etc and taxes on interest in saving accounts, it probably is taxable and should be declared. I once filled in the bit about interest in saving accounts before it became an option requirement and the amount in tax I owed changed to more than the amount I had earned in interest, made no sense.

@Gally123 I'm so sorry for your loss! I'm pretty sure you don't. My mum came to live with us and gave me a substantial amount as I wouldn't be able to work as much. My accountant said I didn't need to declare as it was a gift. I know it's a but different to your situation.

@Gally123 My husband didn't declare his but yes, you will have to declare the interest you make on it (crazy isn't it). We forgot about the interest and got a whopping tax bill a few months ago

@Chriscal - so don't have to declare the money, but do have to declare the interest (unless it's put in a tax-free ISA). Thanks.

@Gally123 Yes, that is how it worked for my husband, and the interest won't come till next year (if the money is still in an account that is, if it's spent then you don't pay anything). They'll be taxing us on the length of our hair next......

@Gally123 - no you dnt have to declare as it is an inheritance but as @Chriscal sates you do have to declare any interest it makes. Ive just checked and my husband said same, its only the interest it makes. Hope this helps

Hi all, i've been having this issue now for a month since the changes and I really need help!

This happens to me too - I am still having the cursor issue and I am at my wits end trying to solve it - PLEASE if anyone knows the solution then let me know - I've cleared cache/cookies, changed browser and updated everything!

@Cherryblossom114 are you able to help at all with this cursor thing? It is slowing me down so much and I’m making mistakes because the cursor doesn’t stay in the box when I am pausing/playing. Any ideas would be so much appreciated!

ha ha ha funny April Fool trick Dict8 now put some tasks on that actually make sense (FFS)

The latest glitch is I am halfway through typing a letter and I get a message to say I can't type the task as somebody else has selected it. If I log in and out I can carry on though. It's a bit rubbish.

I was just thinking is me or are we back on the old system. It appears to be that way fancy script has gone, dancing cursor and stalling of the rewind/fwd, no need to have to be logging out logging back in etc in the middle of a letter
But I did remove the app and re load and I my login had also expired
I also note that the dated and time of the completing the task came back in the old format but went it back to the new format today/yesterday once logged out and logged back in but the typing has remain as in the old system..I could actually do some decent work...you could try removing the old app and reload again...

@Cherryblossom114 oh I use a web browser, what do you mean app? Maybe getting an app might help? It’s slowed me down so much - I’m still having to click pause/play/rewind and then click back in the letter :( I’ve tried all the troubleshooting they’ve suggested but they don’t know what else to suggest so I’m stuck with it.. just going into the second month!

Sorry you right browser (all about apps these days.lol) uninstall from browser and then reinstall again are you using Google thats whats recommended. Good luck soooo ef...ing frustrating

Not posted on here for a while, but kept checking posts from others. Has anyone noticed a massive decrease in work since the new format appeared. I have had hardly any work at all for the past few weeks - emailed DICT8 who don't really have an answer. Just wondered what everyone else was experiencing. Been working for them for the past 10+ years.

I absolutely agree. The work has definitely slowed down for me too. The doctors I do work for are quite clear in their dictation and it worries me slightly that this new system has been introduced to incorporate voice recognition. It is bizarre. The workflow is usually consistent with certain doctors on the same day every week and the work has dropped off a cliff this week and last. It is either that or more contracts have been lost.

All will be revealed!!!! Fingers crossed this is not the case though.

It's just so frustrating - sat there refreshing and nothing coming through!! 😬

Famous last words but my work seems to have picked up.

Just to say, it is Easter holidays and so many doctors will be on leave with cancelled clinics, and often private schools (where consultants may have children) are on holiday a week earlier than state schools, and this always impacts the amount of work available. Also there may be a slight increase in work today/tomorrow as people want their letters out before the long weekend.

I have noticed some strange stuff going on since the new format. Sometimes when I am typing a letter or a longer task the words I have typed are not showing on the screen and the dictation carries on playing despite the fact I am pressing my pedal to try and stop it. At one point it never let me save the draft, booted me out of system and when I got back into it, it had lost the work I had typed. I too have noticed some days prior to the run up to Easter that odd letters come on the system like drip feeding. I am wondering whether they have lost contracts too. Another weird thing that has happened is that on my old Samsung phone when I click on a task to see what it is like, a screen comes up and it starts showing in a box what is being dictated, like VR. It does not do that on my iPhone though. All very weird.

One thing I also don't like is the fact that the dictation stops playing as soon as I come out of the letter & open up another tab so that I can google either a terminology or drug that's not clear! I have to keep going back into the letter & listen again then go back into the other tab again! Grrrr

Used to be able to do a couple of hours solid now have to sit nearly all day waiting, some days pay only earning £5 - £10

Would help if this company had a smidgen of respect and let us know what is going on.
