@Lovemydaxie Same with me, four specialities and normally very busy ones, but lately nothing on Dict8.

I upgrade my internet package with PlusNet to a faster speed - so what did I get? Overcharged and then accidently disconnected, first the phone and then the internet yesterday. Man came and reconnected me today - but now it is painfully slow.

@Gally123 I hope they are going to give you a couple of months free for that? I was with Sky internet a couple of years ago and a similar thing happened, they gave me three months free.....then I left anyway.

@Chrissols - I have not got back to them - man just fixed it about 30 mins ago. Just getting everything up and running whilst having some lunch. Every time I renew my contract with PlusNet there is a problem but this was the worst time, esp with having to submit invoices (Tpro are very strict, by 5pm tonight or I wont get paid). When this contract runs out I am deffo switching.

@YellowBellyLola So I have checked today and my invoice has been processed and is now 'awaiting issue of chq' ... I still feel to state as they did that if your invoice goes in at the beginning of the month (as it should) then there could be a 28 day wait for payment to be received --- I just don't get it. Let's just hope there are no bloody postal strikes in between.

@Gally123 I am with BT now and it is the best so far for me.

@pinksville: For lengthy notes to sec/other I type it as a memo/letter to sec rather than in the notes box [having put in notes Letter/Memo to Sec attached] .. I have had no feedback on doing it that way.

@Chrissols I was with BT for my phone line before I moved everything across to Plusnet as they were cheaper - and all part of the same company so when there is a problem, as today, it is outreach/BT that fix it.

@Chrissols: I am with Virgin Media and they cut me off for two days for owing £43. I was off-line for 2 days. Virgin Media are expensive but I am loathe to switch due to down-time. I am sure I would be better off with BT or ANO though.

@danblack87 Mine still hasn't changed at all and I'm resigned to the fact that I won't get it before I go away so it'll just be sat on the door mat for a week 🙄

I am hoping it is a one off but I am also worried that if they have lost a lot of contracts, which they most likely have as it is so quiet for most of us, that they may struggle with funds to pay. Hopefully I am way off the mark but I can't help but think of worst case scenarios.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt this month but if they continue to take this long to process them then I am tempted to submit invoices multiple times through the month so I am not constantly waiting on a big chunk of money.

My Speciality has kept me going all morning up til now, guess it really depends on how busy your particular speciality is 🤔

@YellowBellyLola They bank with Coutts and you need a shed load to open an account with them !

@Lovemydaxie It's time they sent an email out to update us on what on earth is happening - at least if we know it's going down the pan we can plan around it

Exactly my feeling. I suspect more Trusts are implementing voice recognition as it's got so much better. I fear this is the beginning of the end.

@Lovemydaxie It only seems to be Dict8 thought with a shortage of work - other companies are as busy as ever. It makes you wonder what Dict8 actually charge - they certainly don't pass it on to us lol.....

@Chrissols that's true. I bet they are charging Trusts massive amounts and there's now competition in the market and people are going elsewhere, clients as well as transcribers.

The Speciality I do on Dict8 has been going like a fair all week, can hardly take a breath it's so busy !!!!!🤔 Oh and got my cheque this morning too

I’m confused…….I typed a single task today for Dict8……got picky feedback for putting an extra space, fair enough, my mistake. But, then I get feedback for same single task, thank you for your great work which was ‘perfect’…..hmmmmmm

@Chrissols I'd go with the perfect one 😂...the mind boggles! I wonder if some of the proofreading is now automated, although I can't see Dict8 having implemented AI?
