@Lollybaz Yes, something is definitely not right with Dict8 is it? it's worse than Covid time - I've given over looking as it's gone on so long.

It's sooooo quiet. I guess the staff at Dict8 might be worried about their jobs as well. I wonder if they are kept any better informed than we are 🤔

When do the doctors rotate - sometimes the work drops off around this time.

@Pinksville normally end of July and January.

Mine rotated 1st April & 1st October

Just had a quick look, I see there is still no work........unreal isn't it??

Nothing for any of my three specialities either ☹️
Are there any other decent transcription companies that are worth looking into? Does anyone have any experience of page six?

It's dire, I've just applied for M&S! Sod em.

Was busy this morning early for a couple of hours, then 3 hours nothing, just done one that popped up when I refreshed and now nothing again 🙄

@Lollybaz im looking at doing this as well for the Christmas shifts

Well I typed two letters today and received feedback at 3pm. All they could pick me up on was the fact I didn't type enc at the end of the letter and that cc should all be on the same line! I was always taught to list them. They obviously have nothing better to do, I have 5 specialities and barely any work

I'm thinking of going back to Accuro and I have contacted my local hospital and they want home based bank workers so thanks for the tip whoever suggested that.

@TypoQueen1 Did you just contact HR at your local hospital or via the NHS jobs? I was thinking of seeing if my local hospital needed any home based workers.

@Februarycat I saw an advert for secretaries on NHS jobs and emailed the address given in the advert.

You re right about RMCH. Nothing for some time. You could make a descent 'bread' with them long dictations Fagbembi and there was one who liked to Cc the world and its wife etc. ... lol

Hey all, I received an email out of the blue from Outsec telling me they liked my CV and did I want a job! I don't even remember applying lol. Maybe I was on a waiting list! Has anyone had any dealings with them, should I put my application for M&S on hold?! 😂😂

@Lollybaz I used to do a bit for Outsec - off the top of my head I think they paid 65ppm which is not too bad considering most of their dictations were very easy and clear, I would have stayed with them if it hadn't been for the fact that one lady left and set up on her own so I went with her as she had been my manager at Outsec

@Lollybaz and it would certainly beat having to refresh all the time looking for work with Dict8 😂

@Lollybaz where is your CV stored? Is it LinkedIn or NHS website x

Neither now, I've never felt the need to be on Linkedin having been with the NHS for many years, then NHS jobs updated their website and my CV went with it so I keep it on my pc.

I have just signed up with Accuro. They have sent me loads of videos to watch, I must say it looks a lot more complicated to use than Dict8.

@TypoQueen1 It's actually not complicated at all once you get started, just very.......very......very poor pay - I think it must the lowest out of all the transcription companies.

@TypoQueen1 You also have to let them know in advance how many minutes of dictation you want, so if you want to work over the weekend be sure to put it on well in advance.
